The free version is actually 25 days old. You probably missed the first free version update (from v0.5.1 to 0.5.5.1, the announcement was here).

What sort of character model improvements are you looking for?

Re: character related stuff: Apart from what's in the changelog, on the newer versions (after 0.5.5.1 and currently Patreon only) I've added some new hairstyles and several items, and literally right now I'm making some improvements to the character editor (support for custom colors for anything that can be colored, including a color picker). In terms of body geometry, I am not planning any changes. For all intents and purposes the body geometry (and this includes morphs) is considered final.

Otherwise there have been a lot more improvements on the Patreon version, that will eventually become free. See below:

No, VR has not been a priority so far. There is first person but only for 2D (Patreon version only at this point, but it will become free probably with the next public release).

I'm not even sure if Godot allows you to move the first person VR camera, which would be required for first person. It seems it's tied to the head position. I gave it a quick shot when I implemented first person for pancake.

I understand, i saw this github but i don't know much in Godot.
Also i saw this tutorial but it will probably involve the split of the game into a VR dedicated version but maybe i am wrong :

The first one I didn't know about, but then I guess it proves that you can make the camera at least go up / down. Or hopefully still can. It's for Godot 3, which is a bit old. The game uses Godot 4.4 and will soon be upgrade to 4.5, so I'm not sure how the capabilities might have changed.

The second is more or less what I'm basically using for the VR mode (the Godot 4 equivalent), but I haven't gotten around to implementing controller support (it's frankly quite low on the priority list at this point).

Fixed by launching SteamVR manually.

I've got a headset plugged in, but wasn't intending to launch the VR version.

I updated the top post with the latest free version (v0.6.5). The changelog is available there as well, for all versions since v0.5.5.1 (the previous free version).
This version contains a fix for a pretty nasty memory leak in the character editor, that made the game slow and caused it to crash on some machines.

Here is a summary:
  • A lot of new actions / animations
  • Post-defeat action choice
  • Two new body types for more transgender (and not only) options. New morph (No breasts) that allows smaller to no breasts on the third body
  • New stages and arenas (hell arena, boxing ring). Updated night arena lighting
  • Support for various wearables (e.g. horns, halo, angel and demon wings)
  • New hairstyles and clothing
  • Game mechanics changes:
    • Character progression: Characters will now gain experience points (willpower xp, stamina xp, sexual endurance xp, effort xp) based on the damage they incur to their various stats during the game / how much they use a certain attribute (e.g. effort). This is grounded in the principle that learning happens as a result of hardship, mistakes and effort. As such, if facing a weak opponent who doesn't put up a good fight, it's possible that the winner might gain less experience points than their defeated opponent (at least in certain areas). Experience points can be used to update their corresponding character stats (if above a certain threshold). The percentage progress to the next possible upgrade / the upgrade options appear in the character stats box. Upgrade your character in the Character editor by selecting the +X values next to their respective stats in the character stats information box. Stats are color coded appropriately, and each type of experience points can only be used to upgrade ONE of their corresponding stats at a time (e.g. you will need to make a choice when investing your willpower xp between willpower and dominance, or hang on to it until you've accumulated enough for the desired stat to be upgraded). Reaching higher values will require more experience points.
    • Improved effort handling and clarified visualization. Fixed some buggy effort bar behaviors
    • Draws are now possible during contest / duel actions when the characters orgasm at the same time (e.g. during mutual genital grabbing / cock bashing / mutual penetration)
    • The opponent can occasionally counter or react during certain actions an actor is performing (e.g. catching a slap mid-air and turning it into a test-of-strength action)
    • Drain stamina while a character is making a choice, so there is a cost to certain actions performed during this time
    • New decision algorithm for failing actions
  • Updated gallery
  • Support for selectable multiple topic libraries (various dialogue files), and for adding your own (in the game folder under .mods/topics). Topic library 'innocent' added. Select it from the new drop down in the character editor, above the stats.
  • First person camera
  • Full screen support
  • Game difficulty settings
  • Added a button under Options (Overwrite and update the default characters) to easily allow you to update to the latest default characters. WARNING: This will overwrite any changes you might have made to the default characters, essentially resetting them to the most current version. It will also restore any of the default characters that you might have deleted. It will in principle not touch your own characters, unless their names happen to be the same
  • Other fixes and improvements (zoom buttons in the editor, improved character stats editor)

Some notes on the character progression:
  • Neither characters that have been manually edited (by selecting Edit, and showing SANDBOXED in the character stats information box), nor their opponents will gain xp. If you want to gain progression on a character that's been sandboxed, please edit their corresponding .json file under c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Battlefuck Pit\Characters\ and set "tempered"/"tampered": 1 to "tampered": 0 (tempered was a typo that was fixed in this version)
  • If you want to not bother with progression for a character, either do the opposite of the above (edit their corresponding .json file under c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Battlefuck Pit\Characters\ and set "tempered"/"tampered": 0 to "tampered": 1), or simply select Edit in the character stats box, make a small change, Apply the changes and select Overwrite.
  • Added a Reset button to reset and un-sandbox edited characters

Game is fantastic, truly, but I do wish there weren't so many breaks in the action.

Okay, so I have an idea, maybe. Each character has a strength score, and if the character in control has a higher strength, they have an increased chance based on the difference in strength to just have that action continue, instead of going back to a neutral position and having to choose whatever option again.

Or, really, just any way for the characters to have continuous sex without being forced to stop the fucking, select the fucking from a menu, then go back to the fucking, if that makes any sense.

Though to be clear, great game.

The endings are bs, If Player wins then Player should be able to have options to fuck any style they want,etc
go through entire battles to just get a BJ(fuck off)

Thanks for the feedback. The game is still a work in progress, and far from being complete. I'm aware there are a lot of shortcomings, and there are still a lot of things to implement. More endgame choices will be available in time

I really appreciate your comment, and I'm glad you're enjoying the game. I'll try to think of an option to make this possible in the future, but for now I'm afraid this is the way it's going to have to be. It's difficult because I need to balance a game where the player still feels in control, with the action being more or less continuous and cinematic. It's something between a turn based / real time mechanics, and while it has advantages, it obviously has its own shortcomings

Would really like to have some muscular bodies too.
You can get a bit more thickness if you enable 'Show restricted morphs' in Options. You will get a Thicc slider that you can use to make someone a bit bigger, and if you couple it with some creative use of Neck, Trapezius, Shoulders, (Upper) Arms, Muscular torso, Pectorals, Back, Back width, Ribcage and Waist, you will get some more muscularity. In terms of morphs though, this is likely all there will be going forward, otherwise I'd have to go redo a lot of work on the wearables.

If on the other hand you mean muscular as in muscle definition textures (i.e. normal map muscularity), then I do hope I will be able to add it at some point.

Yeah, I meant by definition textures, the ones that you wrap around certain character's body parts. Maybe like optional texture add-ons might sound fun. Like muscular ab details, scars, bruises, tatoos, body paints, etc.

I also like to have more belly punches lol.

The update is already live on Patreon, but it will become free in a couple of months.

First, it's new and revamped arenas:
  • Added a new Jungle arena
  • Added a new Lounge arena
  • Improved the Day/Night arenas, renamed to Desert (day) / Desert (night)
  • Improved the Hell arena
  • Revamped Boxing ring (added context, cosmetic changes)
Arenas now support animated content. The Jungle arena sports moving foliage, and the Hell arena now has animated lava flow.

I'll let the images speak for themselves.

Second, I have finally managed to fix all the problems (jagged edges, weird deformations during animations) we had with clothing and bodies. This was the bane of my existence, since the issue was not present in Blender :)

Third, there is now an option to also disable the more violent fighting moves, so you can have a proper sexfight whenever, rather than a catfight.

And of course, there's the various assortment of extra animations and small improvements.
