For the armor and pregnancy, it is indeed because of cost affectation priority. Although in the end the player should not be able to wear certain armor while pregnant, I still have in mind to make it possible for the sexy armor, the runic armor, ...
For the gameplay balance, the plan is mostly agility and defense malus, some blocked sexual actions, and I would like in the long run to make variations for the other scenes whenever it would be logical to do so. But the scenes probably won't be affected for the v2.0 (for time affectation priority reasons).
About having clothes reveals more or less stuff depending of choices and corruption (like in
Welcome to Erosland I suppose ?), that's a good idea. I will keep it in mind for later whenever I will be able to allocate time and budget for that.
1 thanks for the clarification, sounds reasonable, and I hope to see it in game soon.
2 When you mean ''some blocked sexual actions'' is this like, this sex scene has the character in a pose that would be uncomfortable/impossible with a pregnant character, because if its anything besides that, I recommend thinking long and hard on what you might block while the PC is pregnant, other games have done this in the past, where a sex scene was written from the start to have a character in certain position, only for later said character to become pregnant, and now the whole sex scene is blocked because there was no alternative written to accommodate a pregnant PC/NPC, pretty much forcing the PC/NPC into celibacy for the duration of pregnancy, while fucking every other creature under the sun while preg was no issue.
I recommend just making sure that any future/current sex scene takes pregnancy into consideration to save on headache for future you.
3 I haven't played Erosland, but what I had in mind was more in the style of, if you approach an NPC, they should react at least slighty different depending on things like.
- what is the armor you wear
- are you pregnant and how far along, and what type of pregnancy it is, eggs, large or small creature, is the father an ogre or centaur vs human or a goblin, possibly multiple children etc
(Also in the future I hope the art would reflect a difference if its a large creature pregnancy vs normal
and clothes like sexy armor should make this obvious far sooner than something like common clothes)
- if the character lactates, for some armor it could leave a damp spot that's visible, while for more skimpy armor actual milk could be visibly leaking from the underside of whatever covers you chest.
(assuming it gets added)
- are you covered in ''fluids'' and have a revealing armor that shows that
- are you leaking ''fluids'' (not milk)
- is the player naked
Basically all I am asking is that if there is something that should be noticeable to an npc, they should see it, and possibly react to it.
I would find it hilarious that, you are on your 3rd trimester carrying a foal from a centaur, just came from having ''fun'' 20 seconds ago, and the store keeper for this scenario does not at all register, that you are swollen like a balloon, are leaving a trail of sexual fluids in your wake, and that your leaking breast are starting to form a puddle of milk on the shop counter, instead they say ''good day'' ''thank you for your purchase'' and ''good bye'' , and start cleaning these fluids that just appeared out of nowhere.
But if that is something you have no interest/resources making, a simpler ''fame'' solution would also be fine, you have multiple categories of fame something along the lines of.
- Heroics (slaying monsters, completing quests, helping people etc)
- ''indecency'' (wearing skimpy clothing, soliciting, walking around drunk etc)
- Deviancy (Sex in public, Nudity, Sex with Monsters, non humanoids, Being in public while covered/leaking sexual fluids)
- Pregnancy/ ''breeder'' (being seen in public while pregnant, visible lactation, more revealing outfits increase this score)
Categories like these, and when you get to a certain threshold of one type of fame, that could then unlock more static dialogue lines, or maybe even open optional side quests.
Lets say you got lot of pregnancy fame, and you go to a shop, and the shopkeeper says something along the lines of
''Another new addition to the orphanage/family it seems''
But if you have high pregnancy and high deviancy, they could say
''what kind of vile spawn are you carrying this time''
Or like I said optional quests.
lets say you have some of that Deviancy + Pregnancy fame, there could be sidequest where a farmer seeks your help, only for you to find out his farm is a slime farm, and he's looking for women to volunteer to get impregnated so he can then harvest the fresh slime cores from the offspring, and now the PC would have an option to both go get impregnated by slimes there, but also if they get pregnant with a slime on the way, they can go there and have that resolved and get some XP/cash.
While high Indecency fame could leave to mini encounters in town where you get offered cash for sexual favors, and rejection could turn into a solo combat encounter for example.
Or high pregnancy + heroics fame would get you a surrogate pregnancy offer from a local noble having trouble having a child, but they have heard news of the renowned hero who apparently is also very fertile.
Things like these would in my opinion help with the gameplay, that instead of you taking yet another quest to kill X amount of monsters, there would be new and more interesting options unlocked by other means not just adventurer rank, that revolve around your particular playstyle more.
Either system in my opinion would be fine additions to the game, either the NPC's recognize what's going on with you currently, or they recognize the type of stuff you do.
(In the perfect world both would exists, but I realize either one of this is work for sure, and sorry for the long posts)
