Dunno ask the devs, it seems the game was going to be a "proper" game with R18 stuff. But some people started hating it sendince offensive message to devs or something (I'm not sure, I've only read about it vaguely) so devs decided to censor the game and cut out content.Then what's the fucking point, seriously?

sjw attack the dev... The game first announce to be for a console but sjw protest with their hypocrite justice to get rid of the game. So as a result the dev change the title from "massage freak" into "beat refle" and change the platform and sell at steam...
But from the start a console is no no for 18+ content so this is also because the dev mistake. The dev of course had a problem with censorship thing if they forced on a console game...
and another group of idiots complained that the names of the characters were similar to the names of the members of an idol group

They had to make this game for taxes or some shit, like how they make bad video game movies for "creative accounting" and shit.
Because even the biggest idiot wouldn't make the decisions the dev made on this. First of all? A Japanese eroge dev defeated by SJWs? Bruh... And that's just one of the asstarded decisions that went in this, if I trust what you guys say.

Personally I'd just have redesigned the whole goddamn thing as something else, delete the whole "masseur" cringe shit, make slides and vfx like on OSU! and shit and sell it as a generic jpop trash rythm game. At least the weebs would have an excuse to buy this.
hahaha... That I just can laugh. As long as the name or the full name is not for all the characters, we can never complain anything. The dev just need to add some explanation with "fiction" and "coincidence". It's same like we illustrator draw some poses. We can't claim certain pose is him/hers because every people of the world can do that pose...
But except if the dev said that they inspired with something so they want to use that, I believe they already got the permit because this one is for commercial. who knows...
Yeah that the biggest mistake for the dev itself I guess... They make a lewd game for a console... and they half ass went migrating the platform and porting to the PC, why not make/add 18++ element in PC... lol
I know they listed it on steam but they always still can add some 18++ patch in their web... Like that certain Idol game simulator...

I wouldn't bet on devs couldn't be that incompetent. I saw a lot of stuff in my life. And incompetent devs are in it. You would be surprised how stupid people can be.

My thoughts exactly. It's game number 512 sharing similiar traits of:
- generic weeb bait
- no sexual content
- girls you forget 2 minutes after closing the game
- the "UI I've seen before"
- one of the Top 5 Gameplay Loops Downloadable by Unity Store (easy install)(click here)
- Unity (it's always the fucking Unity, isn't it) and
- going full Steam.
At this point nothing indicates that throwing tantrum "SJW canceled us ;_;" isn't just a mere marketing stunt.

1) The devs announce this game. It is *not* r18 or porn. It was planned for a switch release, it is never going to be porn. It is a basic R17 fanservice game, like Senran Kagura. The name is massage freaks.
2) A Japanese account points out that the names of the characters in the game are directly (not like, same given name and differentfamily name, exact same) taken from an IRL idol group's members. This kicks up discussion of the game, whether or not that's a weird/creepy thing to do, and so on.
3) A Japanese feminist account comments on the game's similarity to incidents of women being molested or sexually assaulted by masseuses in massage parlors, something which is a problem that has been discussed with some regularity when talking about sexual assault in Japan, similar to groping on trains (though less common/day-to-day, since you ride trains more than go to massage parlors.) This kicks up more controversy as people go back and forth on that issue.
