VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Become a Rock Star [v1.01] [Mr Jet]

I have a real problem with this game, there are too many hot love interests with suitably complex backstory and motivations.

I tried a man-slut play through as one does in the normal 'target rich' western VN. Too much guilt building up to continue, the characters felt so well crafted that I just restarted to a Lisa/Jade run because I couldn't handle the emotive load of potently breaking these girls hearts.

Loads of choice (providing you like white meat, racial diversity is given a token nod in two encounters)
Good stories, details emerge naturally and you may find you need to reassess first impressions.

Ok, none of these cons are real but I already wrote the pros and felt committed.

The protagonist as with most of these kind of games is a complete tool and looks like a half-starved junkie. The girls are hot as hell (also quite interesting), and the story is surprisingly boring. Good amount of content. My favourite is the two red heads.

Decent game that could be better. The renders look good and the story is ok but there is nothing really special about it, you've seen it all a million times by now and it's been done better in other games.

This could potentially be a 5 star game depending on how the user likes their drama. If you like forced/juvenile and/or soapy drama then you will more then likely enjoy this, it just personally didn't click with me.

I would rate this as one of the Top 5 adult visual novels on here.

My first playthrough on 0.45, I picked the vocalist Lisa as the main LI and stayed faithful to her. I enjoyed the story but had no idea how much content I had missed in not dating the other girls.

Now, having played through 0.70 and going the manwhore route where MC dates/dicks every available girl, it is by far the most fun and adds much more content/scenes with the girls. It also adds tons of steamy scenes with some very hot mamas!

Be warned though...if you also try and date your vocalist Lisa, every time you screw another girl it adds cheat points and in a future update, it`s all gonna come crashing down and possibly fuck up the band, when Lisa discovers your a dirty bastard....best thing for Manwhore route is not to date Lisa. She`s a jealous girl as she says early on.

My only moan? we need Marie as a LI!
She was so hot and innocent, yet a one off scene? dropped the ball there.

The renders and animation in this game are top notch. Seriously, the girls are stunning....it`s so hard what ones to consider as your first choice....between Jane and Anna.....and then Emma....I want my MC to rekindle with her and dominate her slutty little ass.

Story is fun enough, nothing award winning. but plenty enough fun and it makes up for it in hot girls and sexy action. Update 0.70 unleashed a fairly dramatic plot twist that had some fans crying into their milk, I just enjoyed it for a needed change in the story tempo.

This game oozes quality and you can tell the effort put into it. Only thing is some of the dialogue comes across as translated English and seems hard to get the right meaning of a sentence but on the whole it`s fine.

I hereby declare this a Five fucking stars.

Good game. Models are of the highest class, The plot is, as it were, but the proportions of sex and plot are just what you need. Of the possible disadvantages, only a small ramification of the plot can be distinguished, but it suits me.

I had not played since the first versions and I am pleasantly surprised, the renders are very nice and the dialogues are very good, great game.
It's one of those games that makes me want to know more about the characters, and that's what gives it the fifth star

This is quite a good looking game and the developer seems to be getting reasonably skilled with animations too. The characters are well designed and unique enough. The story is serviceable: you won't be blown away but there aren't any major problems or gaps in logic. There are two issues worth noting. The writing is in a very weird place. It's not 'engrish' and you can easily understand it, it's just not very natural. It's often stilted and not really how people speak. That's a fairly minor problem for this type of game though, it's just a noticeable one. The other issue is the time between releases. It's quite significant. I don't even usually take it into consideration but the gaps for this game can be so long that when I see the folder I sometimes stop and wonder if it's still being developed. That being said this is really only a problem to consider if you're going to pledge to the developer, it doesn't diminish the quality of the game.

Great Game

The girls are smoking hot, some of the best animations I have seen in a Renpy Game and the story is actually rather engaging.

I like that the MC can close off romantic routes with girls but still interact with them or remain friends.

I have great hopes for the future of this Game

I'd give the game 4.5 stars if I could but I rounded to 5 because the girls are simply gorgeous! Although they don't have as much personality as in other games (not that they're superficial, they're definitely not).
Another plus is that there are a lot of girls but sadly they usually don't like sharing so you need multiple saves to safely bang everyone (which you should, the dev worked on all the scenes after all). The animations are high-end and the sex scenes aren't short.
As a curiosity, a rather rare thing here is that your best friend is a guy who actually sleeps with girls too. It makes everything more realistic as opposed to most other games where you seem to be the only straight guy (not that I mind having all the babes to myself).
The story is about a guy trying to live the rock'n'roll life. Join the ride, it's definitely fun!
As for negatives, I never like it when the MCs face is shown, and here it's shown quite a lot. I want to feel like it's me who's becoming a rock star, not this dude! Also I would have preferred to be able to sleep with all the girls for a longer period of time until they wanted to be in a relationship.
All in all, to me it's one of the best games because of the quality of the renderings and the fact that the game lets you feel what it's like to be(come) a rock star. \m/

I think this VN is severely underrated. The girls are hot as hell (also quite interesting), and the story is surprisingly good. I like the concept of creating a band and building on that as the game progresses.

This is the creator's first VN so it's understandable that the animations are a little glitchy/not as smooth as some other top-tier games, but they're definitely not horrible. Some of the english text seems to be a little off at times as well, but I'm guessing that the creator is not a native english speaker.

Definitely recommended at least trying it. I'm looking forward to more updates!

This game is certainly in my top 5, but almost everything has been said about it...

Nice story, beautiful renders, lovely animations, good looking girls, lot's of action, so what I would like to add is that it has a working auto-play option and that is for me the famous "Cherry on Top".

TL;DR: Great story with good renders to boot, with a free cliffhanger that should be criminal.

[4.5/5] Story: The story in this game is pretty fucking good. While in the beginning it's pretty straight forward without very much trouble, instead focusing on building character relationships, the latest update really turned things up a notch and leaves us with an incredible (or terrible) cliffhanger.

[5/5] Renders: The renders are really good. It's clear that a lot of effort was sunk into polishing them as best as possible. The only major issue I noticed is that the lighting is different between stills and animations, Since I consider animations to be a bonus unless they are really terrible, I'm ignoring this issue.

[+2.5/5] Music: While the game does have music, it always has a neutral or light tone that doesn't necessarily fit the scene. At least, that' what I put in my notes.

[10/10] Cliffhanger: Not fucking cool, lol. I'm really excited.

Not a bad game but...

The protagonist as with most of these kind of games is one dimensional & to be frank looks like a malnourished emo, crackhead. That being said the rest of the characters look good, its surprising as there's no stolen assets it seems & the soundtrack has to be the best I have heard in one of these games.

I love this game, so i gonna give it 5 stars, but lets go the the positives and negatives:

The story is interesting and dont drag things too much, what is very good.
The girls are intereting and a like almost all of them
relationship with girls is interesting to say the least.

negative points:
Its easy to see some kind of lack of variaton in the sex scenes which clearly reflects the tasty of the creator of the game. Which is a real shame
Even the vagina hair of the characters is.. very similar.
Some lines during sex repeat i little too much between sex scenes, .. well at least enough to easily be perceived

Great game. Initially i tought it would be just some thing boring with tons of text, slow progression and boring relationships just like others, but it really got me by surprise.

* Pros:
- Good renders and animations. You can clearly see how the dev improves himself when making the game;

- Good amount of content;

- Great girls with a great varieth for all kinds of fetishes;

- It actualy has a entertaining story, that could catch my attention even by me not liking to read them too much;

- Rose.. Yep, her by herself makes it worhs playing the game.

* Cons:
- This is the thing that bothers me the most when playing games: you have to choose one girl over the other. It's not like we are playing in a real life simulator to have to make this kind of decision and it only makes the creator develop some content for nothing, since we are choosing another route (unless you give yourself the trouble to go back in your saves just to see the other route). When it was about the story of Selina and Rose, it was even more bothersome because of emotional appeal (for the poor Selina betraied by her best friend);

- Too many girls that smokes.. i particulary don't like this fetish but it doesn't bother me when you can avoid the girl.. unless in the case for Anne who surprisingly smokes and it almost make me dump her;

- There are some forgotten girls in the game, like Laura (from the first day in the nightclub), or the bartender (i think her name was Marie). Perhaps the dev is thinking of some way to make them appear again, but we have to wait and see.

CONCLUSION:

In my opinion you should really play this game. You probably would think that it is just about some boring music related story with tons of boring romance and drama but you'll see that there are a lot of good characters in the game, a lot of fap materials and the game progresses fast.

An impressive amount of characters with a wide variety of choices on who to pursue and how. The character design is memorable and good looking and the visuals, in general, are very pleasant to look at. The writing is good and has well-written dialogue, mostly drama mixed with romance, and the game features plenty of well made intimate and sex scenes as well as story choices that have consequences to them.

Overall if you enjoy a visually appealing adult VN with plenty of story choices and various pathways with different characters, this one is very well worth trying out.

This review was written after I finished v0.55. Since spoilers may affect your experience, I will remain vague and give you just an idea of what to expect.

This is a fun game with a decent premise. The story of someone pursuing a dream against their parents' wishes is a classic and appealing one, especially if done convincingly. I do like how instead of becoming more antagonistic to your father, you can simply choose to remain determined to prove yourself through success. This story has reached what may be a major turning point in the current version, and I am looking forward to how the MC handles these changes.

The (presumably) main interests are all distinctive, though since they are all quite likable, it is not easy to pick favorites. Apart from being obviously attractive in ways that cater to different preferences, their personalities and stories are also slowly fleshed out in the game. Though I must point out that during the first act, the girls may not stand out from the crowd due to the relatively slow pacing in terms of character building and lack of distinctive quirks. This is not a flaw, just something to keep in mind. I also appreciate how MC's obligatory male best friend is not entirely neglected or excluded from the action.

As for the game-play, Become A Rock Star is a visual novel, so you will know what to expect. Your choices will only affect MC's relationships as he will pursue his dream regardless, so the MC can remain single, celibate and still continue his story. (though this may defeat the whole point of playing an visual novel sex game) Since this is a Ren'Py game the controls are quite user-friendly, and almost instinctive to me as I have a preference to Ren'Py. (I never said I would be fair, I'm just an arrogant bastard who likes to babble after all)

All in all, this is a crowd-pleasing visual novel that shows potential. It may not take as many risks as some may hope, but it will very likely be a solid, enjoyable story.

Certainly one of the best games. Truly excellent with top quality animations, renders, use of language and performance. Nice plot, interesting story lines and highly erotic atmosphere with very beautiful and sexy characters. A lot of content from a reliable developer.

The renderings are fabulous, the plot is good and the dialogues flow well.
The main character is well built and throughout the story he has various paths to follow and choices to make.
the female characters are good and there are many plots with possible developments with them
Updates take 3-4 months on average, in line with many other games.
