I was playing the game on Chrome in Incognito mode.
Version 96.0.4664.110 (Official Build) (64-bit), to be precise.
And yes, I saw errors and warnings in the console.
So many of them that I cleared it about 4 times while playing the game.
I kept it open while playing because some of the videos didn't seem to be loading, so I'd check if they were 404s.
There were 3? of those, but the rest loaded eventually.
And no, I wasn't paying any attention to the actual errors or warnings, because I was only looking for 404s.
I accessed the game via the "online" link in the description.
You must be registered to see the links
and that loaded whatever version that loads, presumably the latest one.
Initially, I:
1. clicked "New game"
2. clicked "Start the game" (thinking I'd get the tutorial)
3. Clicked the "Next" buttons until I got that kung-fu porn clip which I haven't seen since the late-90s(?) on "The Stiles Project", so kudos on that one.
4. Laughed my ass off, as I did the first time I saw that clip.
5. Clicked the "Next" button
6. Watched the next clip.
7. Continued clicking "Next" buttons
8. Reached the airport with my arch-nemesis, Pops.
9. Continued clicking "Next" buttons
10. Got to the first decision point of the game.
11. Clicked "Need some help?" to see what the little heart and fist were for.
12. Clicked "I'll make you proud, Dad" to get the extra money boost, figuring it would be more initially useful than the Nice or Dominate xp.
13. Continued clicking "Next" buttons.
14. Touched down in LA.
15. Continued clicking "Next" buttons (although, iirc, there weren't nearly as many of those the first time, as there were the second time around)
I don't believe I met Daphne the first time around, but it's possible that I did.
I know when I got from the airport to my room, I had "Go out" and "Go to sleep" as my available options.
It was morning-ish, so I opted to go out.
No one but me was home.
I searched through everything (fridge, bathroom, etc)
I broke into rooms.
I watched TV.
Fixed myself drinks.
Never could leave the house.
Pretty sure it was around the first Tuesday, when Alexa showed up.
Which frankly is what kept me from quitting the game out of outright boredom.
Followed her around to interact with her every chance I got.
Got to the tutoring point of needing a cucumber.
Started raiding the fridge every chance I got in hopes that there was one in the kitchen.
No luck.
Finally broke down and searched for how to leave the house.
Realized that I never got that quest from Daphne, who I should have met.
Sighed.
Sighed again.
Closed the tab, and restarted the game in a new tab (same browser, same site, same Incognito mode).
Worked the second time around.
Maybe you have an old copy stashed behind a load-balancer somewhere that's getting pulled instead of the correct copy?
I'm vaguely familiar with SugarCube, but I detest reading all the [admittedly necessary] > and the < nonsense that plagues the logic.
I should also note that the two biggest irritations that I had when playing your game were:
1. The church only being open on Weekends, and not encountering that Nun anywhere other than at the church on a weekend.
2. Leveling the Nice. When you level a skill, it seems to be going off of the current level for the highest skill every time.
Like, I expected to level Nice once I had around 250 points in it, because that's what it took to level Domination, but I got to 300, then 500, then finally at around 800 I leveled Nice. and then the next one was around 3200 and I had to say "no" to leveling Domination to get Nice to level up.
I assume that it's like a cross-class thing in D&D where, if I have say 2 levels of Nice and 4 levels of Domination then I'm effectively a level 6 character and have to get [whatever amount of xp for] level 7 in either Nice or Domination to level those skills respectively.
I expected the two skills to have the same level requirements, so that when I noted about 250 for the one, I assumed that it would take about 250 for the other, and this was clearly not what was happening.
The only other real gripe I have is the "sex combat system" (or whatever you call it).
It's an interesting mechanic, but I wind up having to do what they want pretty much all of the time, rather than what I want.
and while I agree that's how reality works, this is not reality. This is porn, perchance art as well, but this is porn. Not merely that either, this is a power-fantasy porn game. Let us live out our fantasies, at least on occasion.
I also had a severely reduced move-set with... Amia? The Sex-Ed professor, what ever her name is. I assume that's because she's coded as a Dominatrix, and basically refuses to do the Domination sex positions?
