I don't want this to come off as dickish, but I really just don't think the AI portraits look all that much like the women they're supposed to represent. There are so many hundreds of real pictures of each of the women in this game I sort of don't really see the need to even have the generated images in the first place.

Am I crazy or did the game used to use real photos for avatars a long time ago? I admit the possibility exists that I am both crazy and right in this particular case.

We used to have an artist making digital painting. The issue is that he was so inconsistent with delivery that it become a nightmare.

You don't sound like a dick haha, we always listen to critics of people. We sometimes agree, we sometimes don't. I'd argue that for some, yes, I can see the difference, for some others in my opinion we are very close. We made a choice based on the fact that budget wise, those portraits (when we were ordering from an artist) were both costly and were taking so much time that it was sometimes delaying updates. Again, we asked our community on discord and they voted for AI portraits rather than using real pictures so we went with that.

Ah, now I remember. There was a period of confusion in my head before I got used to the new format. Anyway, I don't care either way, so long as I can remember which picture is of which character...and that's a problem with my brain, not what you put out.

You can actually go back to these in the game if you go in the options, it should switch back to the painted ones
