On the map, click on MC's house and not Janet's. You'll be presented with image of "front yard". Click on a small path on the left side of the screen to move to the back yard, and from there click on hole in the fence to go to Janet's house. Then advance the clock to evening, if needed.

It's not just a twitter thing, it's a much deeper issue that is rooted in the etymology. 'Trap' is inherently negative. If it's positive it isn't a trap, it's a surprise.
