I adore the art.
The experience felt very kinetic, but that's not terribly surprising for a demo.
My eyesight isn't worth celebrating, but I had trouble seeing the tiny red mouse cursor on the city map.
Cheers dev, and good luck.

Looks fantastic, I'll give the demo a spin later.

But, I'd be careful about the Metabot stuff. Its been a long time since I looked into it, but last I heard there was some kind of legal issue going which basically put the series on ice.

I ran it at 2160, but I neglected to disable the custom cursor. It's lovely with the custom cursor off at that resolution.
I see! If I can get a monitor with a larger resolution to test some things with, maybe I can implement different custom cursor sizes for different resolutions. Thank you for the feedback!

i finished the current demo and it looks cool the art stile is clean and i dig what i amuse are stylistic choices also i love medabots aesthetic for robots but i have a couple of questions.

1:. about the future of the project. what genres are the dev team planing to incorporate?
since right now it looks like part visual novel, part a managing game (money and expenses) and another some sort of robowaifu collection game. (the bedabot counter on the save files)

2:. will the game be character driven or player driven?
AKA: if this is the story of "Himo Kone"? i feel this curent demo fairly representative of the former in game since the player chooses nothing and everything is more linear. but if the Devs plans to make it more player driven in the future i will humbly request to allow the player to change the name of the main character then. or in other words playing as a named protagonist that has the character complexity of link from the legend of zelda is rather boring for a character driven game so, if the character is gonna be a blank slate for the sake of the player can selft-insert then just give them the chance to name hte protagonist.

3:. about the comic panel presentation while i love it myself and i have seen games using multiple art styles successfully it may be rough for people that want a more cohesive look
so does the dev team plans on keeping the monochrome comic panels as is? or is this just a place holder for the demo and you plan to do more detail comic strips down the line.

4:. about the pixel art: do you plan on using it for other thing or it will stay purely for erotic encounters?

Also unrelated but i love clever and unique presentation for option in games ,good job! i really liked the in game menu to save load

Android/Robot girls are quite underrated. They had some big moments and then woosh, they almost disappeared from any media. Glad to see something new in the genre and with such quality artwork. Hope it'll come up nice.

Hello! I'm the artist for Bedabots!

The first image looks like smear based thrash art. The second and third got simplified kawaii sugarpop style. The fourth image has hardlight cybercore. Fifth looks like more traditional anime mecha style but emphasize on lewd. And then the final image looks like high-res pixel art. It all looks great, it just looks like it was drawn but a bunch of different people.
I tried to vary the art style to better fit the vibe of the different acts of the game.
If you look at the images out of context then yeah for sure,
it looks disjointed, but I like to believe that if you experience them while playing the game it should make more sense.

The way I try to look at it, it's like reading a Manga,
when there's something like fight scene, the style looks more serious,
when there's something funny or cute happening, the art style becomes more chibi.
I felt like if I made it all look the same throughout the whole thing, it would be boring.
I hope that makes sense.

Those who have played the demo seem to like the art, so I encourage you to try it out as well!
But it's entirely possible that I took it too far,
if I start seeing people complaining about the art style in multiple forums,
I'll try to do something about it.

In any case, Thanks a lot for the feedback!
I hope you have fun if you decide to try out the demo!

Furry game without gay or Futa/trans tag?

View attachment 3396100
I hope you have fun!

The furry styled bedabots are probably going to be a staple of the game,
but I'll do my best to design more that aren't, so that the game has more variety!

I don't personally have huge issues with those tags,
but due to various reasons, I think we're going to avoid them for Bedabots.

After launching, the screen is black, but there is a cursor and a sound is heard.Who has a similar problem?

1:. about the future of the project. what genres are the dev team planing to incorporate?
Honestly, it depends on how much interest the project can generate. An important part of creating a game, is managing the scope to fit the amount of resources available. If we can get a lot of backing, we can add a lot of features and minigames and even a 2D sidescrolling / arena combat segment we were considering. Sadly, the less we get, the less we will be able to offer. At the bare minimum, we hope to showcase a rather linear story where the player will be bedding bots one after the other while progressing up the corporate ladder of the Azuki Corporation; though even in this barebones version of the game, we hope to open the world up a bit more, and allow the player to pursue objectives at their own leisure.

2:. will the game be character driven or player driven?
The focus will be moreso on the Bedabots rather than on the player character. Still, allowing the player to name the main character is definitely a possibility. This is honestly one of our most-requested features, which somewhat surprises me. I guess I underestimated the power of giving something a name.

3:. so does the dev team plans on keeping the monochrome comic panels as is?
While this is not for me to answer, I am personally very happy with the final look of the comic strips in the demo as-is, and I think they strike an exceptionally sweet point between time investment and result. Should we ever opt to do any lewd bits in comic-form rather than animating them, we may opt to fully render, color and shade them instead.

4:. about the pixel art: do you plan on using it for other thing or it will stay purely for erotic encounters?
We have plans to use our 3D-to-2D pipeline to make various character sprites to showcase in areas like the player's apartment. We want to render other areas in a similar style, and should we receive enough interest, the ultimate goal is to have almost every place the player can visit be one of these areas; with comic segments and lewd scenes being triggered by interacting with sprites rather than clicking a button on a map.

i really liked the in game menu to save load
Thanks! Those were mostly my creation, though I did have some outside help when designing some of these components.

I can't say I have any clue what might be causing this issue. Do you have an anti-virus blocking the game's execution or something? Try to redownload it. Maybe that'll help.

Damn this is some serious gourmet shit. Loved the demo. Unironically felt like this is something some bigger studio would put out. I do think an option to change the player's first name would kinda be fitting but at the same time you would have to change some of the art it seems as the current name appears in various places so, maybe it's not worth it. I hope eventually you could see the bots just hanging around in the apartment and wherever applicable.

I think the artwork and animation is neat, clean and detailed.

It got me feeling depressed about the dude, which is good because it got me into the game world.
Spicy baiting me into thinking I could decide which one of the bots to get:KEK:

Simply put, the game looks great and has character, for example the small intro of the game or different menus and text boxes. (Which is my personal tism gripe because many renpy games don't even try to change these small things). It already shows that there was a lot of effort put in. I can't wait to see more. Hopefully you'll get more attention. Good work!(y)

Question: Is there an option to resize the screen? Or change it to windowed or full-screen? I didn't see the options. Maybe I'm blind as fuck.

Thank you for your praise! We hope that, one day, we'll have a big enough roster of Bedabots to have it make sense for the player to get to choose which ones to buy; rather than it being scripted. Bedabots was actually made in Godot instead of Ren'Py, especially because I find Ren'Py to be excessively cumbersome to modify.

The game renders at a static 1920x1080 resolution internally, though it should scale automatically to fit any screen size, adding black bars to compensate for different resolution ratios. Is it not doing that for you? Sadly, while testing the game, I found that -- for whatever reason -- the performance noticeably degrades in any window mode but exclusive fullscreen. Or, rather, I should say that frame times become unstable when not using exclusive fullscreen.

This leads to some animations (like the title screen intro) looking jittery and janky, at least on my end. I have no idea what causes this, but as a result, I have opted to keep the game set solely to this display mode, without offering alternatives. With some luck, this might just be a Godot bug which will eventually get fixed; or maybe it's just an issue with my computer in particular. I have genuinely not a clue what I could be doing to trigger this behavior. We'll do some more experimenting, and see what results we can conclude! If anyone has ever experienced the same issue while developing a Godot game, please do share.

Quite strange that the performance drops in the windowed mode. But on my side the game worked fine and and there weren't any problems with the screen size.
