You are right. But also,

男 = Man, Male, Etc so its correct. Dev just refers to them as men and I don't generally change stuff like that. I need to fix that capitalization tho.

Does anyone have a summary of what happens in the prequel? I have it tagged for myself as dropped, so I must have tried it at some point, and found it too lacking to honestly finish from the start to the end...
