There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the Dune TV series. As far as I know, before the Villeneuve films there were only two TV miniseries made by Sci-Fi Channel. The first one was

. They were both later marketed as made-for-TV movies instead of miniseries when selling them, at least here.

Just compare the remake to the original and you'll see why the remake, no matter how good the acting, was considered subpar to the original. (Honestly, I remember people hated the remake.)

I know there was at least one more from some time in the mid 1990s. But it might have just been a "Muppets in the Desert" or "Saturday Night Live" type of thing for how I'm trusting what I'm seeing online at the moment. It doesn't come up when I do a search, so not sure. I just remember the reviews tanking big time. And as we just saw, when you search for Dune, it actually tries to tell you that the one from 2000 was the original. Obviously, it wasn't...

Playing this with JoiPlay. So I load up the .swf in JoiPlay. The .exe doesn't work. .swf does work. But there is a continuous overlay of the map and an info box, so I can't select anything in game. Any ideas?

Yeah, same soundtrack and 'mom'. Anyway I praise dev for his interpretation and fun functions. For example, we make followers and they do commentary on things. This is not so easy to code I know and doing nothing for progression in game, but fun how you can create situations on your own.

SINCE 2023 VERSION
-Two additional save slots
-Updated old graphics: Doctor examining Paul, Fremen with dreadlocks scene.
-Added a shot to enhance some scenes: the Reverend Mother's anal scene, Jessica caught in the battle and Harah's boobjob
-Two new shower scenes triggered by smuggler.
Known issue: If the game ever experiences lagging, simply restart it as the progress is automatically saved.
