If you want to upgrade, just use the official daz tools to do it.What would be your guys' recommended way to update daz to a new version? Anything to watch out for and prepare? Would be very interested to know.
As for things to watch out for, any time a person or company is in the middle of a long-term project is a dangerous time to upgrade tools. Otherwise, its often best to stay at the most up-to-date stable version of a product.
Either way though, with Daz (and often other tools as well) if problems occur after you upgrade one can often rollback to their previous version. That often means uninstalling the product and installing an old version fresh. Potentially needing to re-point to your existing libraries if you use any non-default locations. I know people who have asked Daz for old versions and been supplied with download links for them. If you are worried you may need to rollback I believe Daz can still have multiple versions installed at the same time. So you should be able to install the latest version without actually updating the existing one you have. Then you can use either or both (although it's best to avoid saving with a newer version and loading that save with an older version).
