the second image shows what happens when i do accept the auto-fit.

Nothing comes up under supported figure for G8. I've never been able to auto-fit G8 clothing to G3. G3 to G8 not a problem, there's a tutorial to auto-fit G9 clothing to G8.

My guess is that it's a limitation of v4.16 of Daz, which I think you both use. On v4.22, I can select Genesis 8 as the figure the item is originally for.

Good to know, I did use 4.22 for the test however. You're right, I do normally use 4.16 though, I have both installed. Maybe I need to update to 4.23, it could just be my installs are messed up, I might look into it. Not a big issue, for be personally, I do convert my characters to Gen8.

I found these replies in the Daz Forum.

"If you had an option to autofit G8 items to G3, then I suspect that was provided by some other product. Autofit is generally not forward compatible."

"If Auto-Fit dialogue popped up but you found no G8 option from the dropdown list... you either need this product -

You must have installed it at some point? I just installed it, and now the pop up looks like yours, minus the toon option, in 4.16 as well.
