Yes, the Steam (and other platform) release will have contributed to their only being one major update in a year. After he completes a season of 4 episodes he does the other platform releases. This takes some extra work as the Steam release apparently needs some extra programming. He also did interlude, as a small story release it didn’t have nearly as much content as a full episode and it didn’t come out until March 4th I think (may have been the week before I forget). Steam was released Jan 6th, episode 8 had come out on November 19th. I think he was working on Interlude at the same time as Steam. Either way those two thing slowed things down.

That´s the main reason I play this game pirated and not buy it in GOG or something. There are things that I love of this game (several characters, the music, some scenes...) and other things I don´t like at all, and I don´t trust in DPC. I play every scene thinking "let´s see what kind of trap is setting this guy here to the player, or what character is going to ruin now".

Yeah, several characters are whores, and that invalides them to something more than fucking. The story of "Quinn´s restaurant" seems far fetched to me, I don´t like it at all, and it´s stupid that she offers her "services" to the MC, and if the MC don´t accept, he just ignores it and doesn´t mention it any more... It doesn´t make any sense. Quinn and the others could just deal with weed and other drugs and the story would be more realistic and probably the same. I´m sure there would be another way of involving Bourke in the plot with Quinn. Lily asking money to the MC in the party of the preps for fucking is the best way to crap in a great character. In general, that thing of some characters being whores without a good reason is not something well writing, IMO.

also he makes more money the longer this game takes to finish, this is common knowledge to all of us and DPC himself. he has no reason to speed this gravy train along any faster, and he produces work of a high enough quality that he wont seriously be considered to be milking it from his patrons.

He has no reason to slow it down either, considering it'll take him literal years to finish production as it is. Stretching it out he runs into a risk he'll lose some of the current backers, who won't be willing to put up with longer delivery times.

Everything is changed... all references to the alt character including other character's referencing her, her stats (in the mod), etc.

For SanchoMod's Interlude core mod maintenance update I'm throwing in all the features from the recent v0.8.3 update since I believe the Interlude VN will be the base of Ep9+ so I'm putting most of the bells and whistles in (I'm leaving out a few until I can asses Ep9 for integrity). I doubt it is most of the players. It's possible that a majority of people don't want that content, but I think it's unlikely that a majority would be 'pissed off' about it. That said I don't have those statistics and neither do you so let's leave that point to one side for a moment. I think if DPC thought a story idea revolving around a MMF threesome was necessary for a characters development, he would do it without concern for the audience. That said because of the vocal contingent such as yourself, I think there is no chance of him doing it with one of the main 5 LIs. (Possible it will happen with Quinn, Heather, Elena or the side characters)

I hate to break it to you, but lots of women do sex work to pay thier way through school. I'd imagine it's more likely for a girl to work as a hooker, or stripper to pay her school fees than it is for them to deal drugs. Sex work is legal in a lot of countries to some degree, while dealing drugs is illegal pretty much everywhere. That said I do think the way it's presented in the game is a bit silly. It would have made more sense if it was something that the player uncovered rather than got propositioned with. BUUUUTTTT if DPC had hidden it and players found out later on that the character they liked worked as a hooker (certain) people would have complained, so what's the solution so that people can't complain? Make it clear from day one, these girls do sex work.

Possibly, but the example I gave in the original post was was a character sharing a fantasy, and the MC getting to choose how it progressed. An avoidable scenario where it is just a fantasy, until it isn't.

If Sage for example said "I have a fantasy about fucking two guys at once." and MC has the choice to say either "Eugh gross" or "Who do you have in mind?" I don't really see a problem. If you aren't into that sort of thing then you can skip it and if you are you can enjoy it.
