Did that choice hurt Jill that much?
I haven't seen the fan reaction firsthand, but it's not surprising. Jill's worst moment in the game is in episode 6.

You know the boredom has hit when people are talking about not having a wank on a porn site .
There is a stereotype about us members of this forum. Most of us play adult games to replicate our success with women in real life in a computer game. We don't masturbate all day and cry in the bathroom at the end of the day, you know?

Meh, I understand that he chooses to work alone. I can understand him not wanting anyone to mess with the writing, but he doesn’t have to do it all alone. Like I said, I was just curious as to the general consensus of what the community felt was an appropriate timeframe before it turns from completely understandable to milking it.
at least among the posters of this forum, there seems to be a relatively even split between the two groups. there are those who think he is taking too long, being too indulgent on what he keeps adding to each subsequent episode, and is probably coming as close as he can to "milking it" considering how much money he make (and especially since there are ways to use that money to expedite his work speed). and there are those who are happy waiting for the high quality product DPC will eventually put out some time down the line.

if its mainly validation that you want for your own perspective, you can rest easy knowing you arent alone in thinking DPC should/could pick up the pace a bit and keep himself on a shorter leash when it comes to his creative need to bloat every episode with superfluous stuff instead of sticking to the narrative

Probably the LI will spend the holiday with MC and Neil then. MC must have spent all the past holidays with Neil, he won't want to miss out on this one too... and it's still an excuse for Neil to meet the LI that MC chose...
I think to myself, since the hints have been piling up since EP8, that the MC will get to know the family of his chosen LIs and vice versa. In addition, there is the possibility that the parents themselves could get to know each other as well.

Neil is just another person at the dinner table.

Speculative example:
Pete and Monica are hosting a Christmas dinner. They plan with Tommy, Heather, Josy, and the MC. 6 people. However, Tommy wants to save his relationship with Heather and agrees to spend Christmas with Heather at her parents' house. This frees up 2 seats at the Taylor family dinner table. Neil and Maya can come.

The situation with Maya still gets interesting. If Patrick gives in on Maya's tuition because she has a boyfriend, it will probably be so Maya can spend Christmas with the MC and Neil. Patrick would support that because, after all, Derek is with his family for Christmas and Patrick can use that to make sure that Maya's relationship with the MC is solidified. If Patrick doesn't relent with the tuition and Maya forces her tuition with the help of the Royce lawyer, there will be a rift between Maya and her father. Sage has already mentioned in EP9 that Maya will be more rebellious. Then Maya will also spend Christmas with MC and Neil because she doesn't want to go to her family. These are two different paths that lead to the same result.

The same makes them translate to about every LI.

Well thank you for not only the response, but for actually answering the question. It really was simply a question. I wasn’t trying to rock the boat, but I can see that for some people you aren’t allowed to criticize even the great DPC. To me, I don’t see how it’s unreasonable to question someone possibly milking updates when they are making anywhere from $360,000 to $1.1 Mill a year. I’d take 3 years to finish a season too if I was making that kind of money.
For me discussions about the story and other elements are all legit questions, but when the topic turns to DPC's approach to work and development times, it all just becomes pointless. DPC has been unwavering on this point from the start: he'll never hire anyone on and he'll develop the game as he sees fit, period. His patrons have a choice: support him or don't. He does polls each episode giving patrons a chance to make some cosmetic choices, but otherwise DPC doesn't want or ask for feedback. If you're a patron of his and you find that attitude insufferable, stop being a patron. If you're pirating the game here, your opinion on milking is irrelevant, since you're actually milking DPC, not the other way around.

I mean, I pay Netflix, HBO, and a whole bunch of other platforms money every month and I occasionally disagree with the direction they take with some of their shows and wish the shows I like would get produced faster, but never have I thought that because I pay a subscription that this somehow gives me control over how they work. If I don't like one of their shows, I stop watching it. If I feel like the service is not good value for money, I stop subscribing.

It's possible that DPC's slow development times and constant efforts to create new minigames and other elements that don't progress the core story will erode interest in the game and, eventually, DPC's bottom line. If/when that happens, he'll feel incentivized to reevaluate his approach, maybe. It certainly won't happen because people who are stealing the game accuse him of milking.

Quick question. I have never played the game. Let me just see if I get it straight there are two files version s1and2 and then 3. Do I install them as seperate directories and then import the save from 1and2 into 3 after I completed the game or do I merge the two directories ?

Separate directories, don't merge. At the end of seasons 1 and 2 (episode 8) you'll be invited to save your game on a special save transfer screen. Then upon opening season 3 you can click the Import option in the game's menu screen to access those saves and carry on with your play through.

I have. She's particularly gutted if you break up with her and Maya as well, takes it far harder than Maya does. Josy pretty much whatever path or affinity seems to be in love with the MC in a big way. I would be really surprised if she at some point doesn't have a solo path there's too many hints she still has strong feelings.
I think just the fact that DPC makes you choose to tell derek if you still have feelings for any of both indicates he has some kind of plan for the future. I didn't think it would all be over with josy if you don't wanna be in a relationship with them both, because Josy is just the first girl you meet and like before even going to college. You even go back home, only to see her.
End their relationship just like that kind of kill a lil bit the the story at the start of the game.
On my end, I decided that I didn't want any relationship with them both, specially because I don't like Maya and I wanted Josy to be happy, if happy was being with Maya. But later I realized (she tells it herself) that she just didn't want to be alone, so instead of making a decision, she took what she could have atm. But now, after all this time, she still trying to know if you like her, as if looking for an assurance to break up with Maya and not be alone, because of this, I decided to let her go and tell her I don't think about her anymore (after all, if she wants to make this decision, it has to be on her own and knowing the consequences).

With all this being said, I still feel that DPC has plans to bring Josy back to MC, or it wouldn't make much sense, since the game story seems to be a lot about their romance.
