To be honest she doesn't know about prostitutes and married teacher.
"I'm sorry, I can't come with you on your spontaneous and unannounced picnic, I have a sick friend to take care off." is really a good reason to not get into a relationship with someone.

I don't know...maybe at some point we find out that Jill really is a selfish bitch and then it makes sense, but as it stands right now, that is one of the worst written and out of character parts of the game.

No LI is wife material...
I think all the main LIs are wife material, depending on what you value in a spouse. I would probably avoid Quinn, Melanie, Sarah, etc. if you want stability and kids, but the main LIs would all be ideal. Unless you think a wife has to be someone who only has sex for purposes of procreation, enjoys nothing more than cooking and cleaning for her husband, and doesn't speak unless spoken to.

Well, I guess some people still haven't realised that you can't pursue the main girls who are looking for a serious relationship if you are on a path (DIK) where you fuck around like a crazy rabbit on heat. Oh man.

Sage is DIK material. Josy, Maya, Jill and Bella aren't. Enough said.

I'm pretty sure this has been addressed before. You are flat-out wrong about Bella. She is 100% available on the DIK path. The only thing you don't do is 69 her (for some reason). Everything else goes down in that relationship just fine. And when single Josy is finally revealed, she'll be perfectly compatible as a DIK, too.

Problem is she says it all the time and she's quick to complain.

Call me a slut, but don't call me a whore, you stopped fucking me too soon, Quinn did better than you etc.

Kinda gets annoying after a while. But If you think that's cute, I don't judge.
To be fair, when Sage tells Fuckface that Quinn deserves the top mark after the threesome, she is in quite a playful mood after the sex, so I would not take her words very seriously. And anyway, the MC then agrees with Sage that Quinn is actually who deserves the top mark, so everything is good.

You can also be very happy with Wendy, but that does not make her wife material in general. The LIs all have very marked characteristics, none of them are 'perfect', and that is the beauty of Badik.

It's not that she's petulant about MC not going on the picnic. It's that before the picnic she likes him, but while on the picnic she sees that he could be a lot more than just a guy to hang out with or date just for fun but to have a real relationship with. Nothing she has done in the game would make anyone think she's selfish at all; she leaps to MCs rescue when he gets attacked by the jocks the first day when she doesn't know him at all, she's working on a foundation or other project to help others who had the same problem as Lana, and she's unbelievably polite and even kind to Tybalt (up to a breaking point). Not sure where you are getting "selfish bitch" from that.

What about "as it stands right now, that is one of the worst written and out of character parts of the game" is it, that you don't understand?

I wonder if we can switch from Bella's branch to Jill's branch (Jill kisses MC and saves his picture) are we in for another exclusive deflowering scene of Jill? Or will DPC just insert a scene from episode 8?

I agree that none of the characters is "perfect," but that is such a subjective standard that it is meaningless. If you mean that the MC must be in a totally harmonious relationship with an LI for her to be marriage material, then I can see your point, but I think such relationships must be quite rare. I've been married for more than 25 years and my wife and I have had plenty of ups and downs, despite everything. If I had to marry only a woman with whom I would never disagree or have any arguments with, I would either have had to be lottery-winner lucky and find someone who is just like me (except with a vagina), or I would never have married.

Having said that, if I think about these girls more broadly I can see where you're coming from.

Of the main LIs, the most challenging relationship is the one with Bella. There's the age difference, which is considerable, the illicit aspect of their relationship which might be exciting but is likely to lead to Bella's getting fired, and then there is the whole issue of Bella's past, her marriage, etc.

The next potentially problematic relationship is with Jill, I think. Jill herself is lovely, but it's possible that her family might try to block her marrying the MC, if they are concerned about their socioeconomic differences. Jill's friends may also cause problems for them, as they look down on the MC because he doesn't have their exposure to culture, travel, fine dining, etc.

Sage is challenging for a couple of reasons: the first is her (step) family, who hate or are at least antagonistic towards the MC, depending on player choices. The second reason is that Sage is graduating and unless she is continuing on to grad school at B&R, will go out into the world to look for a job and get serious about life while the MC is still planning Halloween parties at the DIK mansion. Couples in such a situation often drift apart.

A Maya-Josy-MC marriage faces all kinds of challenges, the most obvious of which is that it would not be legal, at least not in the US. I don't know how difficult life would be if they just lived together, but having children and that kind of thing would get complicated. Not impossible, I don't think, but not easy. And this assumes that the throuple as a unit can stay together. I think the way the characters are written and the story is done so far, they could manage, but IRL? Who knows? The US is generally quite conservative about that kind of thing, so I think they would face a lot of backlash and judgement if they were public about their situation.

Individually, however, I think Maya and Josy are wife material. Maya could be challenging because of her father, but at the same time, he will probably be thrilled if Maya marries a man. MC is already best friends with Maya's twin brother, so that seems like a positive, unless you hate Derek. So I think marrying Maya could be very viable.

Josy seems the most worry-free. Her family is more or less normal, as far as we know, and unless your MC really hates Tommy, the stepbro shouldn't be a problem, either. Josy is sweet, relaxed, low drama. Why not marriage material?

So now we are choosing which girl to marry?
Well, you guys know I would choose Maya in a heartbeat.
She is my equal favourite girl in any visual novel I have ever played.
And I have played a lot of them.
