Maya actually gets her tuition if she gives in to her father's demands. But Maya doesn't take the easy and easy way like Quinn, she takes the hard and right way. Can she do it alone? No, but she doesn't have to because she has friends and not punter and drug clients like Quinn.

Everyone lies for their own benefit, Maya, Josy, Quinn etc. but Maya's and Josy's lies(my first PT was Maya one and i was mad as hell ) are like white lies compared to Quinn(AFAIK) what Quinn is doing, lying is going to affect everyone not just MC or who's connected to her.
