Wallace Industries provides $X to the school for some number of scholarships and Burke assigns it to the student. Mr. Wallace is probably relying on Burke's judgement to make sure he gets a Mona and not a Wendy for his money. This is the source of the quid pro quo rumors that Burke had to try to rebut in the newspaper article. Laundering the scholarship/sugar daddy money through the school tuition program diverts attention from what the girls are having to do to earn it.
I'm a real sucker for bittersweet stories; those that aren't necessary gonna end up with the protagonist living happily ever after. I believe that those stories, even if written in a fantastical setting, feel the most real.
I prefer playing as DIK MC for my own reasons, which makes the game less abundant in terms of MG content. I experience less cool MG shit. So my favourite moments aren't related to romance. But the ones that do, oh boy, they're as bittersweet as you can get, like a fucking lemon.
First? MC realises how he feels and what he must do. He runs and runs, almost stumbling over his own feet. Enters a fancy restaurant. Runs down stairs, skipping every 2nd step. I love you. But she doesn't feel the same way. EP9 makes it clear that it's most likely over, but boy, oh boy, isn't it the best way to officially enter Others path?
Second and my favourite? I want to try with you, I really hope it works out. You don't feel the same? It's too much of a risk? Alright. But I still cannot get over you. You realise that? I know it wasn't your decision; it was hers. You were too afraid to risk it all; to be fully true with your feelings, you couldn't lose her. I get it, but I won't stop trying. And then you enter Others path.
I really hope the endings of this game will really reflect that kind of energy. And if BaDIK still offers Disney-like happy endings, I will manage, as long as there's gonna be room for a little bit of grey .
PS: I understand that we need power fantasy in our lives. Video game developers and especially visual novel developers, profit from making games cater to that need. Life's not mediaeval fantasy anymore and taking risks is hard. Fucking 30 women like DIK MC would probably get you an STD; fucking without protection, early fatherhood. Also, our lives aren't that happy all the time; we sometimes struggle and need some entertainment, need some escapism. Nothing wrong with that. Some people watch TV series, some play RPGs, some watch porn; we have a combination of all of those.

This episode brought some changes to the story and characters; people also interacted with each other in pairings that weren't seen before or to that extent. For instance, Sage and Jill broke the ice. It's just that it wasn't groundbreaking, and with the hype and wait time of almost a year, yeah.
Yet I believe that kind of chill and fun episode, with 3 stages of a party (like DPC is Mass Effect 3: Citadel fan or something), plus some flashbacks here and there, is gonna work best with the whole 1–16 episode playthrough.
EP5 was the first one that I had to wait for and I was really disappointed when it first came out. One prep party, a visit to Bella and a mansion scene, that's it? Not even 24 in-game hours happened! But now it's a really good change of pace when I have a full run.
I believe that at least some part of the hate on EP9 will shift the moment it stops being the latest BaDIK episode.
I wouldn't mind DPC taking a 2-3 week break after releasing a new episode (I know about release day dev responsibilities). Nothing beats a rested, fresh and happy game developer who is far from being burned out.
About harem, I'm sorry, but throuple is already quite an extraordinary situation, and going further would only bring it farther from realistic and into unrealistic fantasy territory, which I hope DPC would like to avoid, but my interpretation of what kind of story he is crafting. Like I know, there are already so many exaggerated parodies of characters and things like fucking a teacher, but (there's always a fucking butt) all of those things can happen in real life (but are unlikely to happen to the same person).
Three or more women for one guy? In western society? Like Wheel of Time has a prophecy about a guy being shared between 3 women and it only works because it is prophecised and the women there aren't freaking happy that they will have to share. I don't know; IMO, it wouldn't fit the story he crafted.
We're already dealing with the "reality" of the MC pretty much banging an entire sorority at will. But I agree, a throuple would be quite difficult to see ending in success. There's too much room for jealousy. (we even got a little taste of that from Josy if you chose Maya at the prep party).
It just sucks with the development of each character and how the relationships progressed, that you're stuck having to choose just one.

Stephen offers Maya so she should leave college for now after he learns from Maya that she wants to join the HOTs. Mona leaves college at the end of EP6 and is unavailable to anyone. Why? Sage is not supposed to learn so the original scavenger hunt was revived. By whom. Priscilla. The prize is free tuition disguised as a scholarship.
How do I get it? For the winner of DIK Hell Week there is one, but prize. We definitely know that Derek or the MC will win the VIP prize. Who won the scavenger hunt and what is the prize for the winner? There is no winner, they just moved up to HOT's sisters in fulfilling the list. I find that kind of strange.
So no, Priscilla is not Quinn. But Priscilla has Quinn punished in EP6. Why? She tried to manipulate the scavenger hunt by putting Camila and Mona on the MC and fucking the MC herself during the CUM petition. There are cameras in the DIK Mansion.

Because Burke isn't top of the tree for the sex for tuition racket, it was already in existence before him and he is just the current faculty overseer, just like Quinn is only the current student leader of it. The racket is the main source of money for the college (they get funding on top of the tuition the girls receive) and has been going since the founding of the college and is currently being run by the lawyer of one of the founding families.
The answer is obvious. Maya scholarship application is approved. Quinn wouldn't do that, she wouldn't even think about it. Besides, Quinn wouldn't have the money for it. Also, Stephen seems to know Priscilla, and he would certainly know then, so it would be Quinn.
