What's even funnier is, that I've stopped counting how many playthroughs I've done in this VN. I've tried almost ever permutation of choices I could think of. Each respective girl for each alignment that was possible. But for some reason, I just can't stand Derek, so I've overlooked many choices that have to do with him. Of course he's got his moments and make some things 'kinda' funny. Even Tybalt is less irritating than he is. Because at least Tybalt isn't going to try to be your little pocket puppy after you hit him.. :ROFLMAO:

It will be a shorter status update this week, following last week's big one.
I have worked on art - mostly static renders - and yesterday, I started working on a lewd scene and posed some animations. As a result, I'm up to a total of 5405 static renders.
Returning to the Scenes section of the from last week, most renders and scenes in all free-roam events are done. I have less than 100 renders left to make in this area. Note that this does not include the phone content.
Today, the updated Scenes section of the checklist would look like this:

Scenes
Three lewd scenes - One is written and has partial art. Two scenes need writing and art.
Three free-roam events - Less than 100 renders remain across these free-roam events. All need a different degree of testing and additional phone content.
Two normal scenes - One has partial writing and one is planned. Neither scene has any art.

I will focus on lewd scenes and animations next week and hopefully finish the remaining free-roam event renders. Everything depends on how well the animation work fares. I might write some dialogue too.

i started reading this post and was like, yes, this guy gets it. i appreciate the keyboard jedi........then the tybalt crack......how dare you sir! derek is a bro amongst bros! he gives you a roof when you had none, and a shirt if he had 1. we repay this act of kindness by defiling his sister, and hes still got our backs. when said backs are against the wall because mc wont bang a teacher, or wear a dildo on his head. derek, yet again, saves the day by dawning the helmet of shame like a majestic uni-moose, while fighting the good fight against femi-nazis, and diving on granny grenades. what does he ask in return? dont hurt my sis, and every now and then, help me revenge bomb a nerd. yeah, he gets overexcited, and when left alone you can expect to come home to find.....well that part is scary, cuz you never know, and its likely gross, but you could say the same about a puppy. in conclusion, if you wouldnt kick a puppy, you shouldnt bash derek.

Not taking rendering into account, he did about 400 renders in a week? According to him, he's got about 200 renders left. I don't know how to feel about that. 5400 renders is about how many he was planning on doing? Or does he want to do 6,000 renders?
Based on the scenes above, I estimate I must pose an additional ~600 static renders and 70-100 animations.

Current static render count: 4892 produced. 220 posed renders in the render queue. 5112 renders total.
Overall he completed 293 static renders this week, which is a huge achievement and wouldn't suprise me if it set a new record. So in terms of renders per week this week was exceptional news. Hopefully this new record can also translate over to his animations per week!

Animations are progressing 13% slower than episode 9 which was already a 38% drop in production speed compared to episode 8. *Based on count rather than duration.
Best we can do is hope the production rate on animations picks up.

From last weeks status update we know he is planning around 5700 static renders for episode 10. That leaves just above another full week of static renders to be developed. But static renders are not really a major factor for the final delivery timeframe that sadly is animations.

If anyone is interested in the Animations I have a post detailing the development progress below.

As stated in the orginal post the assumption "Animation durations are evenly distributed by DPC throughout" was taken.
However, it's better for me to adjust the calculations to adhear to the remaining 85 animations being lewd.
Kaiser-ST also noted that of the 265 animations DPC described in the most upto date animation report, 28 were posed animation but NOT rendered. These animations will also require additional rendering time.

So instead of just doing the calculation of how long it might take DPC to develop 85 animations based on the average 00:05 animation duration, the better calculation is:
85 Lewd Animations -> For this I will be using the Episode 9 average lewd animation duration of 00:04.
28 Mixed Lewd and Non Lewd Animations -> For this I will be using the Episode 9 average animation duration of 00:05.

Drilling down past this point won't provide more accurate estimation. But during my caclulations I didn't take into account the remaining animation type. So thank you for pointing that out!

Bonus Stat
Take this with a grain of salt! It is just speculation with the numbers available. There is no real way of knowing if you're not DPC
I wanted to take the oppurtunity to compare what full focus on animations were between episode 9 and episode 10.
For episode 10 we know that within a two week period DPC was able to produce 4353 frames. As we will never know the exact rate in which DPC developed animation for episode 9, I attempted to find the largest period for episode 9 where we know DPC only developed animations.
Between the 5th of November 2022 and the 25th of November 2022 DPC reported animations numbers without developing static renders. So we have a three week period of Animations without split resources. Three weeks also provides a large-ish sample group so we can assume the average duration is close to the overall episode 9 average.
From this we know DPC produced 27 animations in a three week period. This results in DPC producing 00:08 seconds of animation per day or 240 frames.
We know Episode 10 during his vacation produced 10.36 seconds of animation per day or 311 frames. A 23% Increase in efficiency!

So with luck he'll be done with static renders next week? And will only do animations? Sounds too good to be true. If that's the case, an October release is more than likely.

The number of posed static renders is impressive, but it really doesnt matter in the long run.

If DPC still needs to pose and animate over 70 animations we are still more than 50 days from the update.

Remember that during his 2 week vacations his PCs only manage to render around 4300 animations frames, that's less than 72s animated.

The average animation is 5s, if 70 remains there is about of 350s of animation left to render.

That would take 10 weeks to render based on his vacation production efficiency. Lets hope the new PC helps a lot.

As expected animations are biggest bottleneck at the moment. I dont know why he has such a boner for sfw animations, because 90 % of players dont really care. We know you are great producer PinkCake, but whatever really.

He needs to deliver with this one, because he overhyped episode 9 so much, and reviews were mostly negative.

By 2025 nvidia will release 5000 series, so I fully expect cutscenes and development will take 18 months. :ROFLMAO: He cant help himself.
