I love "Interlude". Certainly adds more depth to the whole story and to the MC. Certainly with you that there should be story DLC for different characters. Real world building stuff. But, in my opinion, it should be done after the main story is concluded. Otherwise we will have another Ocean (SG and wiab dev) on our hands and BaD won't be finished for 30 years.
Waste of time? Sure but you need to keep in mind that some people just want to fuck every girls without commitment. Which is why other route/manwhore route is fun. While I agree that adding more contents for main girls would make them likable and fun but so does adding contents for side girls. I very much enjoy Quinn/Pink rose events/Riona/Hot girls mini events. Without them the game wouldn't be as fun and popular as that. I think it important to develop both side girls and main girls. I am not particularly into Sally but I like Karen (probably because it fun to bully her). Pretty sure these girls also have fans. Hell some of the feminist like Jamie gf has fans. Honestly keeping a balance is better.
Josy is in a relationship with another girl. If she was single then yes she would be a perfect girlfriend but as she is in the story she has baggage. Jill is the only one of the main girls that you could have a healthy relationship with in the real world. I actually think that many people here put down Jill just because they are used to "similar" characters like her in other adult games. You know the girl who is insecure and shy that you corrupt and make her do things that a real girl would never do. Jill is not like those characters and she would be a great girlfriend.You're equating "story line" with "drama".

So they've all got story lines. There's just no drama surrounding Josy, probably because she's just a normal girl, extremely cute, but otherwise normal. The rest of them are all fucked up one way or the other.
- Jill: Student at B&R. She comes from money. Her sister died when she was young. She has been sheltered all her life, and because of that she is rather naive. She has a killer body but a face that can go from good to bad in the blink of an eye. She's been a virgin right up until she's met the mc.
- Bella: Librarian at B&R. Her marriage ended (?) a few years ago, and she's been frigid ever since. We don't know a lot about her past as it's been intentionally left as a mystery.
- Maya: Student at B&R. She comes from a very religiously conservative family (particularly her dad) and because she's a lesbian (or most likely bi) it's caused a lot of friction (not that kind of friction... ok, that kind of friction too
). Her dad is trying to blackmail the gay out of her. She's trying to hide her same sex attraction from everyone because she thinks she'll be judged for it.
- Sage: Student at B&R. She's also the president of the HOTs. She's adopted and has a distant relationship with her family, and hates her adoptive brother. Her boyfriend turned out to be gay and was cheating on her; she's only just recently come to terms with it and has moved on.
- Quinn: Student at B&R. She's also the vice-president of the HOTs. Her dad is either dead or in prison and her mom seems to be a fucked up drug addict that can't even recognise her anymore. She deals in drugs and prostitution to fuel her own drug habit, and she seems to have a lot of psychological issues.
- Josy: Student at B&R. She comes from a broken home and she recently lived with her dad, step-mom and step-brother who happens to be the vice-president of the DIKs. She's had a crush on the mc while working with him but she's in another relationship which has complicated things. She had a falling out with her dad, but unlike every other fucking character in the game, she resolved her shit ages ago.
Of course the drama is required, otherwise the story would be boring, but in real life, a DTF girl like Josy wouldn't need drama to make her "interesting". In the game you don't get to squeeze her ass every time you stand next to her, but in real life, it'd be mandatory.
But obviously the way you approach things from the game's perspective rather than real life's perspective will be very different. How I enjoy this game, and how I would handle it in real life:

If it wasn't for the mc, it seems like Zoey wouldn't have had any friends at all. She was a loner kid who loved her granny and was wrapped up in her own silly dreams.
So for Zoey to go to San Diego, and end up only hanging out with a bunch of misfits, it's not really that hard to believe. I also don't think Zoey would have put up with a bunch of guys hitting on her, so it's not hard to believe she didn't find a boyfriend in that time, was she even looking for one?
So yeah, she went to San Diego to surf, she ended up working at a tattoo shop, and finished her high school studies. Time flies, shit happens, and in her case, she didn't hook up with anyone. Probably because she was still stuck on the mc but just didn't know it. Luckily for her, the mc also saved himself for her return, oh wait...

Agree with that. If he has a time table of when each episode should drop and when the story should be done it is much easier to determine which stories he should work on and which stories should be on hold. When the story is finished he can continue on working on the DLC which also solves the patreon "problem" as I'm sure he is concerned that his income will drop when the game is completed.
Hopefully DPC will not add stupid things such as reworking everything from the beginning or make another almost useless game in parallel while his fans wait about 2 years for the primal game to advance in plot...
iirc DPC said he has zero intention to rework the earlier chapters. If he does and a massive if.. It will be after it is finished.
Remaster some characters maybe and that's it. And I hope he does that once it's finished, I really hope so.
I mean the only real douchebag among the alphas is Dawe (and Caleb but he didn't arrive until later). So it was probably Dawe even if it hasn't been stated.

Yeah but Bella, Sage and MaJo have red flag baggage. Jill's baggage is the kind that makes you grow. Her sister died, but she turned it into something positive, seeing the moon as a sign from her sister. She has some insecurities but they can all be overcome with experience.
