The only "what if?" scenarios are for Josy, we haven't seen her at B&R without Maya so everything we say regarding that is conjecture.

However we do have Maya at B&R without Josy, we know exactly what her plans were if Josy wasn't at college. At the point Maya asks Fuckface for his help with her pledge list she assumed that Josy wasn't going to be at college, and that they were about to break up. So we see exactly what Maya would do if Josy wasn't in the story, because up until Josy turns up at B&R that was Maya's situation.

Therefore we can say with 100% certainty that Maya would do if she had broken up with Josy (or any random girl) before she arrived at B&R and therefore was a single lesbian. That's how she sees herself by the time she asks Fuckface to do the list, so if that was her actual situation she would pledge for the HOTs and give Quinn the evidence with which Quinn can then blackmail her into being on the restaurant menu. That's not conjecture, it's simply fact, yet you've decided despite the story showing us what would have happened that something else would happen.

I would say we have seen Josy without Maya just not at BR. Josy would fully be with MC, its what she wants. Maya without Josy does like MC but seems like it would take longer to get there

She surely didn't do anything to emanicipate herself from her father in the 6 months leading up to college and that's in the inet age, where it literally takes all of 5 seconds to google something and then act accordingly. As of now, if you have to pick the two characteristics that stand out the most with Maya, then those would be dependency and inactivity.

Removing Josy from the current story doesn't stop Maya being a lesbian, doesn't stop her having a relationship with a girl that her father found out about. It could have been Josy, only she's not the girl Fuckface met while working in the summer and she doesn't get into college, everything plays out the same as it did until Josy arrived at B&R. It could have been a girl we never see that Maya broke up with when her father found out, again doesn't change anything in the story before Josy arrives. What you are saying is that if Maya doesn't meet Josy, or indeed only if Fuckface doesn't meet Josy, then Maya doesn't know she's a lesbian and doesn't date a girl. Do you actually realise how ridiculous that claim is?

Yes that if Josy wouldn't exist another girl would just magically appear, because that's how life works, is ridiculous indeed. That's the shoulda, coulda, woulda realm again. I used to have a higher opinion of Josy than Maya. However, all the recent criticism towards Maya's shrimp-sized sidekick have thoroughly convinced me that these two truly deserve each other. Therefore, I've decided to TAB my way through the MJ path. The only reason Maya and Josy are together is MC if he did not act like a little bitch when Josy showed up Josy would had broke-up with Maya and she clearly wanted to but because of what MC did she stayed with Maya because she didn't know what else to do out of fear she with Maya. Josy and Maya have no real relationship with each other it is all MC. That is why they will breakup by the end of 3 season.
