It's been an interesting week. I started by creating and rendering all environments for the episode's biggest free-roam event. I still have some variations of the environments to do later, but the base work in this area is complete, which will speed up the art creation process later.
I post-processed all the environments, made buttons, coded their functionality, placed special renders, and created Pack Quest. I have ensured that the free-roam event is playable, and even though it lacks scenes, I can walk around and interact with things and people in it.
After that, I started writing the dialogue and scenes while continuously updating the plan for the free-roam event. Most of the week was spent writing dialogue, and I had a good flow.
I needed a small break from writing a few days ago and wanted to create a new avatar for fun. But the result was too good. I now know I unintentionally created the art assets for the Steam/GOG store pages for Season 3.
Once I realized this, I spent some extra time on it and designed a fitting logotype, too. I created all the store assets in a day and a half, and they came out fantastic. I'm so pleased with the result.
I can't show you these yet, but I can reveal that Sage will be the banner girl for Season 3. Now that this work is done, I've saved myself from that stress and work down the road.
I'm now back to writing again. I've written approximately half of the free-roam event dialogue. I estimate I'd need 600-800 static renders for what's written this week. I plan to continue to write until it's done, then jump on creating the art for it.
There are no static renders, but 37 animation files are in the render queue.
