Really?
You can't force someone to do something with just words.
For example, I saw then Chip and that other guy trying to convince you that you better stop Alady-posting.
That it's hurting Josy. They tried, but failed. You didn't listen to them. :sneaky:
It's the same with Rio. It's her own choice. :WeSmart:
Nearly all international law recognizes extorsion and blackmail as forms of coercion (like with Mona and she most likely wanted to do with videos of Maya), and using coercion to manipulate someone into prostitution is recognized pretty universally as involuntary or forced prostitution. And forced prostitution is illegal in every country on the planet.

So yeah, it's generally recognized that words used to manipulate can violate someone's free will.

I understand what everyone is saying here, but this is 100% Vinnie's fault. Vinnie is the one who made the decision to kidnap Rio. Vinnie is the one who committed the act. No one forced him. It's like rape or physical abuse. Do we blame the victim because they wore revealing clothes? Do we blame the wife for pissing off the husband? Do we blame the clothing company for making the clothes? Do we blame the store promoting the clothes? How about the parents? Is it the parents fault? No. The dude who committed the rape made the choice. The husband who hit his wife made the choice. The person who kidnaps someone made the choice.

None of this is Rio's fault. None of this is Quinn's fault. The only one to blame is Vinnie. No one forced or manipulated him to do this. At the end of the day it was all his decision. He could have chosen not to do it, instead HE made the choice to kidnap Rio.
that is true I just find it hard not to put some of the blame on Quinn like 10% or so of it cause all she really did was poke a bear and ignore a few red flags that could of been nothing.

I mean she does lure them into prostitution but at the end it was their free will, there was no other choice for them, there isn't any free lunch. It was either college with prostitution or leave college. Cammy, Sarah and Mel has learnt to cope with it, Mona couldn't.
it isn't free will when you think it your only choice

Quinn is a drug dealer, but if her business crossed paths with Vinnie's, the responsibility lies with Lily who EXPLOITED Quinn's need to get more revenue by MANIPULATING her to accept her proposal.

this just to use the 2 verbs you keep using....
Right.
Holy Divine Quinn is the victim in this situation.
She has endured so much suffering.

That isn't true it always rest with the boss but the try's to blame the Lily. Quinn should had known going with Lily plan backfire she should had known something bad could happen. Quinn not thinking that Vinny might do something crazy is her complete and total failure

There was a choice to leave college like Steven told Maya. World doesn't end for you if you don't go to college. Like Zoey is fine. Billions of people have never went to college, they are fine. Even Josy had coped up with idea of not going to college before being accepted. At worst Quinn's fault here is to spread rumour that HOTs offer free tuition to their members.

OK DW, you're closer to the truth than ever, replace just one word - Quinn Rio should had known something bad could happen.

Honestly, I have nothing morally against prostitution. I personally think sex workers deserve more rights and legal protections.

But coercing others into it crosses past "morally grey" in my book (and in the eyes of the law, even where prostitution is legal).

the boss? who would be the boss? Quinn and Lily in this operation are clearly partners.

the only fact is that without Lily, Quinn would never have sold to the pink rose girls, who then buy from Quinn only because Vinnie was giving them ridiculous prices

so it's not Vinnie's fault that he does it, it's not Lily's fault that she creates the conditions for it to happen, but it's Quinn's fault that she had to predict what Vinnie was going to do, now that's solid reasoning with no weak points :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

No it is Vinny fault because he did it but it is also Quinn fault as well because of her bad leadership leading to it happing. Quinn may not be the big boss but she does run the drugs and primping at BR so she is a boss just as Vinny is a boss for his side of the street

Next blame Adam Smith for writing The invisible hand. Quinn just offered same quality stuff for a cheaper price, and she being a smart girl took it. It's Riona's fault for being a penniless drug addict who has to be side kick of Quinn to sustain her addiction. Drug dealing comes with risk.

but what does bad leadership have to do with kidnapping? how would it be a consequence of Quinn's leadership?

she is a drug dealer, Vinnie is a drug dealer, and at a lesser level so is Riona, Tommy, and so on. drug dealers do drug dealer things.

or do we say it is the fault of Vinnie's bad ladership that he should have foreseen the consequences of stealing the takings from Quinn? Or for demanding prices that are too high?

I get the nonsensical defence of Quinn by her simps, but I'm not sure where the other people are coming from here though. Rio being kidnapped is Quinn's fault, simple as that. Yes, Lily did ask Quinn to sell her the drugs she was previously buying from Vinnie, however Lily didn't know that Quinn and Vinnie had the no-aggression pact that meant Quinn wasn't to deal drugs for use outside of campus so when Lily made it clear that she was buying for all the Pink Rose girls then Quinn should have refused. She has enough experience of Vinnie to know how dangerous he is and that he was going to retaliate when he found out that Quinn was supplying within his territory.

It very easy to understand, Quinn should had known Vinny wouldn't take it kindly for her moving in on his turf by selling to PR.
Quinn should had been warning the girls to kept an eye out

I hear you, but just because Quinn helped setup the situation to piss Vinnie off, he still made the final call. There are a lot of things and people who may have contributed to it, but at the end of the day, Vinnie made the final decision and he didn't have to.
