Josy doesn’t have much to whine about unlike Maya who is in a tough spot with her shit dad, except when she does :Kappa:

Maya by contrast showed maturity when handling their breakup with MC and didn’t whine at all.

So yeah, stop simping Dorkwen.

Josy was totally in the right scene considering what MC did. Maya got less to whine about than she thinks but is to self-center to realize it and had she shown just a bit independence wouldn't have anything to whine about even with her awful shitty abusive father

Am I fucking retarded or what? Can someone explain this joke to me? I don't get it. Is it a joke about her age being twice that?
View attachment 3923919
basically, yeah. He made a cringe joke about how instead of calling her old he basically has a two-for-one deal, which doesn't make sense other than the MC makes some really dumb jokes on occasion (Shoutouts to "Feline good" and "Eat your damn vegetables")

These have probably been posted on here before, but these posters are obvious foreshadowing of Riona's kidnapping and the Alphas' useless roadtrip.

I wonder what these ones are about... Nick had a clown costume on, that's the only thing that comes to mind from the second poster.

Yeah, I didn't laugh at all. That's why it was so hard for me to figure out what he meant by it because it was honestly just cringy.

In order to celebrate the recent Patrick defender posts, let's not forget about the time when Derek was squeezing Patrick's ass at the graduation ceremony:

Yeah, having favourites is a sign of bad parenting. He should have been equal about it and let Maya have a grope too instead of slapping her hand. Even if he enjoyed Derek more, he wasn't supposed to let them know that. For shame.

Patrick's roughness with Maya and even a desire to maintain a level of control over his daughter for her sake would be just SLIGHTLY redeemable if it weren't for the fact that his biggest problem with Maya was that she was a lesbian. Like even if it was a "he's trying to keep his daughter redeemed and pure", dude has fucking porn in his office.

Patrick seems to enjoy this, he is apparently latent :KappaPride:

All jokes aside, I understand the tragedy of his story, or rather the tragedy of the whole family. It's a hard life where you have to work more because imagine the cost of supporting Helen, not every health insurance will cover it and the psychological burnout of watching your loved one turn into a vegetable year after year. But none of that justifies him treating his daughter like shit, and doesn't justify his attitude because she prefers girls. Your daughter is a living person, not your property, and she has the right to decide who she will be with.

Dude probably thinks his faith is what's keeping Helen alive, and if his daughter is "pure" she will be saved. He is indeed a tragic character, he is not a cunt for the sake of being a cunt like Dawe

Still an asshole, certainly not like Dawe, you're right. A broken man, consumed by darkness and despair. He turned to religion over the years (according to the flashback, it was Helen who was deeply religious, not Patrick) a person in despair needs to cling to something to keep from collapsing. Same as with Maya and "free tuition" hope.
Let's add the second factor here: he promised Helen that she would see her grandchildren - again, typical parental selfishness. And Maya, who prefers scissors, clearly ruins these plans.:D

I do not justify Patrick, but people cannot always control themselves, especially in the context of constant emotional stress.
He needs understanding, consolation, and probably guidance.
He does not find all this in his faith. :cautious:
This means that it would be useful for him to join to the great wisdom of the Church of Divine Quinn. o_O:oops:
And then he would be able to avoid all these unpleasant situations. :WeSmart:
So let's praise the Divine Quinn, and her universal wisdom.
Amen.

And seeing the other child, No wonder he thought Maya was his best bet for grandchildren :KEK:

Helen lost hers but with Patrick it feels like he does it not because he believes in it but because it used to important to Helen but he's twisted it into something it not. Even if he truly believes being gay is wrong he should still show his daughter love

Yeah, Derek's usual girlfriends are not at the age to give birth.:Kappa:

He wasn't religious to begin with it was Helen who was being all evangelical. He picked up faith when she abandoned it, for the sake of the family and yes, his daughter absolutely can be saved.
