I told Sage on every path, but I'm not sure why I needed to tell Josy, it's none of her business. Obviously you have to tell her on Sage path to get her to come to the Bailey's, but I felt bad doing it.
When it comes to this whole "none of her business" view, that's not the point as far as I'm concerned. I feel like people say that as if Josy's being some sort of nosey gossip butting in where she doesn't belong, which is as far from the case here as possible.
For me, whether you're pursuing Josy there or just friends with her, it's about the MC needing another person's input to decide what to do with this information. Josy's not only literally the closest person to unburden himself to at that point, she's also the right person to talk to because she's going through a similar thing too with having to hide her relationship with Maya, and so the MC is looking for the perspective of what it would be like for her if someone found out about them and how he should go about things now that he knows about Chad.
It's all about something weighing heavily on the MC's conscience and him needing someone to confide in and ask advice of, which is no bad thing. It's also about trust and him putting that trust in someone who is either a friend or someone he's romantically involved with, and we all should not only feel that we can trust these people but also be willing to take that leap of faith that we can trust them, which is what the MC is doing there more than anything else.
That's how I see it.
