surely the interlude is the only thing the fans will ever hate, no doubt about it, sure, sure.

for the eighth chapter 6-7 months, then with the interlude + ninth we went to 11. for sure this was well tested by DPC
The development time has increased with basically every episode, between 2-7 months for the first 8, not 6-7.
Episode 2: 2.5 months (1,709 renders, 77 animations).
Episode 3: 3.5 months (2,289 renders, 99 animations).
Episode 4: 4.5 months (2,532 renders, 134 animations).
Episode 5: 4.5 months (2,456 renders, 157 animations).
Episode 6: 5.5 months (3,336 renders, 162 animations).
Episode 7: 5.5 months (3,723 renders, 250 animations).
Episode 8: 7 Months (4,158 renders, 358 animations).
Interlude: 3.3 months (794 renders, 36 animations).
Episode 9: 9 months (5,037 renders, 303 animations).
Episode 10: 11 months (5,868 renders; 335 animations).

Notice a patern in time increase and content?
Every episode is larger, more animations, more scenes, higher quality. With the new system he can also do much more than he previously could. And he's now composing some of the music for the game.
So what is more likely, that the bigger size of the episodes means longer development time or that it's some dark conspiracy?

It determines if Zoey is a Chick or a Dick as well as what relationship she has with her friends (so far only affecting Clucks). It was proberbly supposed to have mattered more but since people hated it, he decided to not use too much from it.
The ultime troll move would be Zoey being only available for a MC with the opposite affinity. :KEK:

What are you talking about? What conspiracy?

Certainly the episodes increased in size but the time remained stable for a long time, for example, the growth between the sixth and seventh did not bring any significant increase in development time.

But dpc wanted to go further (more fps, more minigames..) , and the interlude allowed him to bring development to the 11 months without causing a stir. Even if it wasn't intended, I believe it was, it went like this, months blaming the interlude, but then the next chapter still takes a year. From two episodes a year to maybe one. The interlude took blame that was not its own.

People need to have minigames and free roam more
We should have a free roam that requires MC to pass mini-games to advance further. Like at a party he gets pulled into beer pong (must win) and has to console a crying drunk girl (based on the gender studies game) and save the plants on the patio from being trampled (a new game!), and each step/clicking on an arrow consumes an energy resource. PEAK ENTERTAINMENT

Question to you Mr Spock, do you believe we will have a scene with Bianca in EP 11?

I'm sure there will be more moments to get cheat points, but a full on scene feels rushed at this point.
A semi-lewd? Possibly, like the early Jill ones that were mainly just fondling or making out.
A full lewd? Highly doubtful, even with that one preview in the hot tub. But I live in hope :BootyTime:

It really is weird how EP 7 is quite bigger than 6, yet took a very similar amount of time.

That dev cycle was probably DPC at his most efficient. At that speed, he could have made an update slighly bigger than 11 in less than a year (not using 60 fps animations of course).
If I remember it correctly, he did hardware upgrade after Ep.6, RTX 3090 was released that days.

Now he upgraded to 4090 so he can make the sex animation to 60fps. But is it really necessary to make the game 60 fps. I mean the animation is already great and he is not making a AAA game to pursue such smooth animation. For an AVN in my opinion 30 to 40fps is already great. Increase in animation will just make the game file size bigger
