I don't want to sound like an "ass kisser" but a lot of folks (myself included) find out about VNs at their own pace and if they think they'd like to support, they just support the authors.Yeah that is why I aimed my comment toward his ass kissers, who instead of holding him accountable, keep throwing money at him, the dude gained patreon member even in this month, from 13.000 to 14.500, for why ?
He did not deliver shit this year, and He so arrogant that not even acknowledge this to his dead supporters. At least pretend that you sorry
Well if ever find out that you also part of this forum, HE won't give a Fuck about your SupportI don't want to sound like an "ass kisser" but a lot of folks (myself included) find out about VNs at their own pace and if they think they'd like to support, they just support the authors.
Most of the VNs I'm supporting didn't release anything close to when I started supporting them, but release schedule is not the reason I support (or not) a creator.
Wait when he finally decides to migrate to unity. He transition from 30fps to 60fps.
Which is totally fine by me, I don't subscribe to a service or creator to get their pity/love back, I do it because I feel like they deserve it.Well if ever find out that you also part of this forum, HE won't give a Fuck about your Support

What I meant with my comment is that, you can't be surprised if a specific creator, being DPC or not, gets new subcribers even when they have not released anything recently.
People find out about VNs when they find out about them and in some cases, if they feel like it, they decide to reward these creators.
Personally I tend to subscribe to smaller creators, but that's old commie me.
No, his gonna use unreal engine or the RE engineWait when he finally decides to migrate to unity.
just shoot me nowTo be honest I wouldn't step on the gas if I was earning these amounts either:

Haha dammit I'm out of reactions, but this was funny, so this is my reaction:
Before or after delivering the animations that disney commissioned him for the new toy story movie. No, his gonna use unreal engine or the RE engine
Well if I were in DPC's place I would hire people and a render farm. My parents didn't teach many things, but one of the few was that if you are going to work with other people's money do it well and optimized and above all fulfill what you promised to those who gave you the money.and how motivated would you be to end the story?
Eh but that's (good) old wisdom mate, there's a case to be made when your income also relies on subscriptions that the trick is threading the fine line between taking too much time to produce/release something or just the right amount of time.Well if I were in DPC's place I would hire people and a render farm. I was thinking servers, but you're right, those Chinese kids get paid less, good thinking man. Then I got this mental image of a BADIK sweatshop in some dark basement with kids alternating work between producing renders and shoes laces.
Doesn't affect the development very much since it comes down to how long the manual work takes. Maybe a week or two, tops. The reason he did was so that his computers wouldn't finish too quickly and stand idle. It was that or create more animations, but that would also add to the manual workload. He transition from 30fps to 60fps.
And how would it help if renders and animations get finished long before he's finished with the writing, doing art and coding? Not to mention taking away something he enjoys doing will just make him get burned out on developing the game. They guy has said that the variety in the development is what keeps him going.Well if I were in DPC's place I would hire people and a render farm. Then what story should he cut? What paths and side girls would people accept him cutting? Because that's what takes time. Would people have been happier without any side girl paths and a quicker release? Quinn's exclusive scenes took at least a month to make in Episode 10, maybe he should have cut that? How about cutting Nora, Nicole, Riona, Lily? That would have saved time. Its a delicate balance but an update that takes over a year is not acceptable either.
If he was still at 30 FPS then it would have been much faster. Then what story should he cut? What paths and side girls would people accept him cutting? Because that's what takes time. People want him to release the same path-filled high-quality game, but faster than possible. They want factory processed food with the quality of a restaurant.
