Yeah, her and Jill in certain playthroughs take it relatively well.

Basically if the stars didn't align with you and Jill,. the relationship ends rather amicably.

Then of course, there's the other girls...
Jill, if she is not in love with you, reacts much better, it is as if the DPC created two versions of Jill at that moment. But maybe it's for the best, she's good as friend.

It's much easier to end the relationship with her in Ep. 8, she takes it like an adult, even though she's upset.
Most of the playthrough I've done only in Bella path things get complicated. But on the other path she take it like a champ. Funny thing Jill is the one consoling the mc.

Now that I think about, Jill is unique in being the only MG to have different reactions to getting dumped in Episodes 8/9. I guess because she's the one who requires the most work, thus the several fail states.

Makes me wonder how alternate reaction would work with the other girls. Fuck Buddy>Girlfriend Sage vs Friend>Girlfriend Sage, we already sorta get that they aren't drastically different like Jill. Maybe a Josy-focused throuple vs Maya-focused vs balanced, then... not sure about Bella. Things are hardly different with DIK affinity, it's not enough for an entirely new break up scene. Hmmm... I guess I'll just count the breakup in Episode 7, where she dumps your ass for fooling around with that forgetful ditz Cathy. Not exactly what I had in mind but it's one hell of a fail state.

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't the exact point people are making that they preferred the "lower quality" season 1 episodes to the "higher quality" season 3 episodes that take so much longer to release?

In particular, the "higher quality renders" and "much longer sex scenes" which each have a disproportionate impact on development time compared to their contribution to the game's quality.
Not from what I understand. They don't seem to understand how an episode that is longer and more advanced can take longer time to develop. You can prefer season one (however most seem to prefer season 2 that had a much longer development time), but expecting that short development time while keeping the length and scope of the new episode with as many girls and paths makes no sense.
Nobody wants to cut anything from the game that takes up development time, just small things that make little difference.
I wouldn't mind cutting down the sex scenes (but I seem mostly alone in that) but I don't get going to war on things that would shorten development time with a couple of days or just shorten the animation cue while doing very little to the manual workload that takes up most of the time.
Or demanding that he hire people to do some of the things he enjoys the most, while again not having any big effect on the manual workload.
Would less animations and lower FPS but still roughly the same development time really make people happier? Would having the renders being finished a few months before release and the computers just standing there doing nothing make things better? I doubt it would.

If she is completely in love with you in other paths, she will be broken too. And destroy your photo with "Are you my destiny?" sig.

Yeah. I'd like to see more immersion with characters than the weird stuff DPC does, the dude cares more about unnecessary animations. That's it, I'm turning into a whiner too, forum gravity in action. :ROFLMAO:

I don't get how anybody could like her. I tried her first scene once and it was disgusting. Never again...
Yes, it's an ordeal :(, but I accept it in order to get a VIP card. :cautious:
I am sure that when the Goddess, the incomparable Divine Quinn, honors Fuckface's miserable den with her presence, she will be impressed by it.

I had one playthrough with Bella that Jill did not destroy the picture. I think because mc kissed her back.
That's right. You kissed Jill, letting her know you had feelings for her, giving her hope. And creating a triangle.
Now all you have to do Macky, is work out how to turn that triangle into a Hexagon, or even better a Decagon or Icosahedron. :) :p

Personally, I think that the real pinch in the hourglass is planning. If he could plan the story faster he would use more efficient techniques or cut down on quality or even hire staff. So long as the planning is slow he doesn't have instructions for machines or people. The queues would just hit zero and stay at zero. So might as well aim for the kind of quality that keeps the machines busy while he plans. And when an episode gets to the finishing touches stage, he starts planning the next one.

So the real enemy might be the old nemesis of all storytellers: writer's block.

He started on Episode 1during the summer 2018, so it did take time.
You are comparing the much shorter lower quality episodes of season 1 to the larger higher quality episodes he releases now. More girls, more unique paths, higher quality renders, much longer sex scenes, to name a few things.
I calculated the development time of Season 1 starting from the release of Acting Lesson in December 2018. Still, it took him more time to develop EP 11. Keep always in mind that for the first episode he did have to start from scratch for user interface, minigames, characters definition, main assets and so on. He probably looked at those aspect before December but he could not work a lot at the coding before completing the previous game.

Higher quality renders: that small "higher quality" is due almost to better hardware, a 4090 is much better at ray tracing and has so many CUDAs that compared to a 2080TI he had when starting BaD. He has not improved his skills in a relevant way, his style and approach is consistent. He still poses quickly (hence the persisting problems with teeth, clothing fitting, materials, lights).
Longer sex scenes do not impact that much, he stated that he could output more than 100 static renderings with a 3090 (and now he has 4090) when the scene was unique with just minor posing variations. That's quite expected. To change characters sex position does not take that much time. He has made only 18 scenes in Ep11, they could be longer but they're much fewer than the past compared to overall episode workload.
Debugging of free roams and minigames takes more time.

Not sure about "most". I have seen plenty enjoy the free roams and mini-games. The animations don't take much time. The "cinematic" animations are a very small part of the overall animations.
There was someone that counted the percentage of lewd and non lewd animations and from what I recall non lewd have become the majority in last episode. I was not able to find it, if anyone can find the source is better.
The anal scene took 1 day to pose, 34 to animate.
But you have to decide if animations are slowing him down or not. Because you always said that he's not impacted by them, so what would be the deal of cutting lewd animations?

Then I still don't get how that anal animation of season 9 could take so much, while bigger ones won't. For example I take the data provided by the always useful ElectronicRoberts in this post

This should be the 35 days anal scene of sage episode 9:
anim_sage_hm_fuck1_ep9.webm - total frames: 120
anim_sage_hm_fuck2_ep9.webm - total frames: 120
not anal I think: (anim_sage_hm_spank_ep9.webm - 90 frames)

So 35 days for 240 frames?

To make a comparison of non lewd from Interlude with the same hardware:
anim_bike_intro_epi.webm - 240 frames
anim_work_epi.webm - 240 frames
anim_work3_epi.webm - 900 frames

How much did it take for those? Or graphic cards get much hotter during lewd scenes?
You should realise that something doesn't add up.

I only go from what he has said and that is that manual work like writing, coding and creating art takes the longest time. Especially the main girl paths.
His wife helps him with the mini-games, it's a thing they do together.
We'll see when EP11 is published. ElectronicRoberts in the past gave us very detailed statistics about dialogues, lines of code and so on. So we will have precise data to compare. He is not the only guy that extrapolates data from the game. I would like to hear more from them, so we'll have something factual to comment on.
