I said something similar last night, Calling her essentially a crutch for Maya's story - cause obviously without her there's no same sex relationship drama that drives Maya's and therefore the main plot forward.
Thing is, without this relationship drama, the "main plot" of Quinn and all that stuff is still chugging along and isn't really affected by that. If there was no JM relationship, Josy would be the easiest girl in the whole but Maya would still have the abusive, controlling Dad and teminally ill Mom at home. The controlling aspect over her orientation wouldn't be there, sure, but it would be under the surface, and she'd still have a more things going than Josy.

Ultimately, because Josy is front-ended into the story, that is to say, we know most if not all the important shit about her by chapter two and she's also practically in Love with the MC by here too.
More like obsessed than in love, imo.

I'm not saying she is not important, it could be argued she's the entire driving force for the whole thing, but once we set off on that journey, she's not really needed anymore other than motivation for Maya to keep going.
Oh, Josy's definitely the key component to Maya's drama because if not in this relationship, Maya doesn't have the ultimatum. It's Maya's and Josy's wish to want to find a way out of the predicament they're in that then becomes both of their stories.

Understatement of the century

When the majority seem to recognise that their interest in the MC is a direct result of the separation caused by Patrick's threat making them emotionally vulnerable to someone else's advances despite still having feelings of love and want of their current partner, I think I go with the majority on this one since that's what's most clearly obvious to just about everyone.

You really expect Maya, after feeling humiliated and having her hopes dashed to just be like, "Yeah, that's cool Josy. I'm OK with you joining a sorority that played us for fools and ruined our chances to be together without my Dad breathing down our necks. Thank you so much for telling me this when I'm still massively hurt and depressed about what just happened"?

Gimme a break
don't be a HB no one likes that guy. Keep in mind the only way you can rightly say im wrong is if the game ends and no breakup happens and be honest it more likely they do breakup then they don't

Maya is the one in the wrong here it very selfish of Maya to want Josy to give up her dreams just to make her feel better that's not love, it control. The Hot's aren't bad just what Quinn did was wrong Josy wanting to join them isn't her being unsupported or selfish MC even says the same thing. Maya should put her hurt pride aside and support Josy for once
Maya didn't want Josy to give up on her dreams. Maya is an introvert and makes maximalist statements when she is stressed, letting off steam. At this moment, you just have to emotionally comfort your girlfriend and be with her and DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT JOINING THE HOTs. You can talk about it in a day or two, when the situation cools down. From Maya's point of view, she didn't know that it was only Quinn. Josy just had to give Maya time to cool off.

I admit I could be wrong, but I think Josy and Maya don't love each other the way they use to because that is what the game shows which is why I believe in solo happening, could there be a way to keep it going maybe but for now there every reason to believe in break up happening.
In my experience people are sometimes guilty of what they accuse you of that seems to be case here. but no hard feelings :giggle:
You're so stubborn, DW.
Even when you admit you might be wrong, you still manage to stand your ground.:ROFLMAO:
I don't know what the game is showing you, but to me it's showing that Maya and Josy are OK. :cautious:

What the game shows is 2 people caught between the love they feel for each other and being in a difficult spot in their relationship because of outside forces that they can either overcome or succumb to. If they didn't love each other and knew it, then they'd split, easy as that. The fact they don't and what they say in the game shows that they do love each other and that's what makes it so difficult to know what to do because as much as they don't want to lose each other, they also don't want to be in this stressful situation where they can't relax and be open with each other because of Patrick.

If the breakup does happen, it won't be for lack of love, it will be because one or both simply can't deal with the difficulties anymore.

Not saying no break up happens, just saying that I believe you're wrong on your perception of their relationship and that it isn't backed up by what the game is actually showing us. It clearly shows the girls are conflicted when off path and you don't feel that way if there's no love anymore, you feel that because there is and it makes it difficult to know what to do; either stick with your love and hope things can get better, or jump ship, hurt yourself and them, and hope that there's a better prospect out there. That's where they're both at right now, and that's the truth.

Why is it up to Josy to be the good girlfriend she should be able to say no I want to join the hots you don't have to but I am. I get being introvert i'm very introverted myself but this isn't Maya being a introvert it her trying to control Josy total Patrick move if you ask me

Now I can get behind. You are sorta right on this part,. Maya and Josy were never right for each other. We don't see behind closed doors unfortunately so we never get to see what they are like when away from the MC (and your comment about if DPC doesn't show it doesn't happen is just not true) DPC shows us next to nothing about the couple if we are not on there path - are we to just believe it stalls because the MC said no. But even if you are not on the path They show signs of having fights and disagreements at the Halloween party. They show this on the Thruple path to I guess... but the difference between the two situation is that the Thruple has the MC holding them together. It's for him that it doesn't break down, cause as that relationship ends it's quite clear both girls are into the MC than they are the other.

Yeah, the Thruples got every chance to split, but thanks to the MC keeping the glue together it's got every equal chance to stay together too. Id don't know how that will play out to be fair, as they both are showing signs of jealousy now. but the way the par behave behaves sometimes, I get the feeling they would rather share MC with the other than not have him at all, despite their jealousy. There is more chance of them splitting when the MC is not involved as he's no longer there holding them together.

Sorry to cut in the discussion, but when has Maya supported Josy? I see you and others shitting on Josy for that instance. But overall, l only see care and support from Josy to Maya and not the other way around. With Maya being to self-centered in her own issues. And like I wrote in another post> Maya problem has been going on for a while, and in all that time you have Josy having to put up with Maya's "stressed-out attitude".
That aside, Josy IS indeed better than Maya. With the latter having lied and acting hypocritical at times.

Imo, Josy lacked tact and a lot of awareness there. For as much as she supports and loves Maya, that was not the time to say she still wants to join the sorority. Maya's already feeling despondent about what happened, feeling like the HOTs played them both for fools, and then she feels like Josy isn't standing with her. That would hurt anyone to feel like their partner's not with them and so Maya just had an emotional outburst there. It wasn't about trying to control her, it's simply that she felt like Josy didn't have her back and was hurt that it felt like Josy was choosing people she believed humiliated them over her.

How? Like you say, we know next to nothing about their relationship before the MC or what they can be like alone in private, but I think it's stretch to say they're no right for each other. From what I've seen, when they're together in those good moments, there's a clear bond between them and they bounce off and compliment each other well. Their connection, to me, does seem strong, they just often have problems communicating how they're feeling and since they're still only 19, I'd say that comes with their age.

I'm not trying to fight so hope it don't sound like that, we have different points of view. I think it clear they don't love each other and will break up but maybe ep11 will either confirm it or show that i'm wrong. If ep11 ends with a Josy and Maya 3some and everything good with them I would have to rethink a lot of things

Again, it was a misunderstanding because of Quinn bullshit. Maya was thinking on stress and adrenaline, Josy didn't support her in that moment. That's all in that situation. It's not that deep that Maya wanted to ruin everything for Josy.

That was the only chose there thought Josy had no other chose but to join the hots. To me it up to Maya to meet Josy haft way there. Maya is in the wrong here I get it she upset but Josy can't stay in Maya's room with patrick having a key and she can't always sleep in mc bed(sadly) Joining the Hot is the best thing Josy can do and it actually helps Maya

The thing about Josy is that she's a bit of a closed book in the sense that she has her issues but isn't letting anyone really know about them. She's a people pleaser girl and put on airs like everything is fine and OK with her. So unless and until she starts letting people know and see that she's not, what is there for people to think they need to support? If she's telling everyone that everything is fine with her and focusing her energies on others, then what can other people really do that goes beyond simply spending time with them if they don't know more and she won't let them in?
