This is peak game. You have a great story, amazing characters (even some character development),GREAT scenes and fun mini-games (At least until ch10). I loved it from top to bottom, so I'm anxiously waiting for it's update

I think it's a pretty good game. It is a very character-driven story and well written. The renders are also high quality and the scenes are hot. Worth your time to play. You can download the multimod to skip the minigames/collectibles.

I would give a 4.5/5 if it was allowed.

It's a good game, you could see that the developer put a lot of effort into it, but the story and characters were the points that made me give up on my gameplay due to boredom. It's a game that focuses more on storytelling and drama, it's not a game for everyone.

    My review will have spoilers.

    NEGATIVE POINTS;
    STORY:
The story is detailed, consistent and realistic, but it's boring and you often find yourself skipping the dialogues, because a lot of it is just unnecessary drama, drama that, most of the time, doesn't impact the story as a whole, and with that we'll get to another point.

CHARACTERS: The female characters in this game are well-constructed, but they live in constant drama, and again, drama that most of the time is nothing major and doesn't add anything to the overall story. The female characters that save themselves and have the right amount of drama are Isabelle, Jade, Quinn and all the secondary HOTs.
    • Jill, Maya and Josy: The most annoying and unnecessary characters in the game. They are characters who only create problems, create drama (a lot of drama), and if they were removed from the story, things would be better. The scenes with them are boring and tedious and, on top of ALL THAT, Maya and Josy make the protagonist look like a fool and the game FORCES you to accept and forgive this and, ON TOP OF THAT, the game directs you to them again many times.

SEX SCENES: If you are going to play the game thinking that there will be countless sex scenes and that you will form a harem, I regret to inform you, but you won't. The sex scenes in this game are mostly "crumbs of sex" and provocations, hidden behind a lot of drama and unnecessary dialogues, and in many cases, when you are going to be with the character, something happens in the middle and the scene ends, which is extremely frustrating.

    POSITIVE POINTS;
    GAMEPLAY/MINIGAME:
This is a Ren'Py game that has Freeroam at certain times. The game's strongest point is the minigames, which are creative, engaging and make you want to play, especially the fighting system (which unfortunately is rarely used in the story).

FREEROAM: The Freeroam in this game is extremely good. The protagonist has a working phone where you can access minigames, access social networks to interact with other characters. There are also contacts where you can send messages or call, and you can request services from characters. There are also collectibles and secrets in the scenario, which is cool.

DETAILS: The game's details are also another strong point and show the developer's dedication and effort. Choices in this game matter, even the smallest ones. Depending on how you treat someone or respond to someone, that person can help or harm you with other characters in the future.

MUSIC: Another highlight, the songs are well chosen and bring immersion.

This is absolutely worth your time to invest in. In my first playthrough I didn't get the route with the girl I wanted, but I still continued, and it turned out it was greater than I thought.
Whatever routes you choose, there will always be great things about them.

Choices really matter, and those really affect the way other characters in the game talk to you, which leads to many variations of the game that I suggest you should find out by yourself if you have time.

Mini games are not that bad; some of them are quite challenging and addicting. I can't believe it, but I am really addicted to the math-logic game in season 3. If it's your first playthrough, then I suggest you choose to play those mini-games at least one time; after that, it's your choice.

I usually play only one time in these VN games, but I guess this time I'll try to unlock all the routes.

The game is not perfect, but it still deserves a 5/5 rating.

Sage Path is my favorite so far, she gets adorable later on, following closely by Isabella

I thought I would hate this game the way some of this stuff works, but get rid of the minigames and what's there is actually very solid. The only thing missing would be a harem option, but I get this isn't that kind of story.

If you can handle college life in a game, this is a solid one.

This is the first adult VN I played, the one that got me interested in this type of games and showed me they're not just a boring and senseless form of porn, but can actually have nice stories and great characters. I love this one but the last chapters feel like 90% minigames and 10% and character development/story progress. I appreciate DrPinkCake's skills when it comes to creating intuitive and interesting minigames but come on, man. I would dare say 90% of people play these VNs for the characters, story and yeah, the sex, but def not for the minigames. The updates are taking a very long time and when they are finally out, you go to play to see how Quinn's, Bella's, Riley's and all the other girl's stories progress, to then play a long minigame and just have a short part that is actually focused on the characters. I really like Quinns arc and development but in the last episode it feels almost like back to square one with her.

Anyways, I'd still recommend this one to anyone. Still one of the very best if not the best. Very nice gameplay and intuitive free roams, many of girls to choose from, nice college setting. Good sense of humour, some interesting plot twists and character arcs. I just hope DrPinkCake will focus more on the novel part rather than the minigames and 'game' ones.

The most overrated and ill conceived AVN game ever made.

It be beggars belief to me how this is so highly rated. Average renders, very stiff animation, boring characters (the MC himself is a daddy's boy drama queen and Quinn is the only girl that is mildly interesting and Derek is the most annoying best friend character ever), story is ponderous and very poorly written, mini games are actually the best thing is game because they break up the monotony of the utterly awful story, and the 4 main LI's none of them are worth following (Jill being the absolute worse)

Considering how much Dr Pinkle get from Patreon for this game you think he would make something half decent, but nope we get this mess.

0.5 out of 5, 0.5 is just for Quinn and the mini games.

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said, Sage is best girl, DPC is kinda an asshole, MC is a bit of a drama queen, Camilla has the best ass, the minigames kinda suck but that doesn't really matter at the moment, sex scenes are flawless, romance is flawless, stay the fuck away from burning buildings etc etc 10/10

When I first started playing Being a Dik, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. As someone who enjoys story-driven games with mature themes, I figured it would be like most other adult visual novels—filled with explicit scenes and not much else. But after diving in, I quickly realized that this game was much more than just another "adult" game. It has so much heart, humor, and depth, which completely surprised me in the best way.

The game starts with the protagonist, who’s in a tough spot emotionally and financially, heading to college. Right from the get-go, I felt like I had a chance to shape this character’s future. The choices you make in Being a Dik actually matter—not just for the love interests, but for the kind of person the protagonist becomes. Whether you lean into being a respectful, hardworking guy or a rebellious “bad boy,” every decision has weight, which made me really invested in the outcome.

What I appreciate the most is that even though Being a Dik is filled with mature content and humor, it never feels gratuitous. The relationships and even the more explicit moments feel connected to the story, which made me care about these characters more than I expected. I found myself genuinely rooting for the protagonist, not just to hook up with the girls but to navigate the complicated dynamics of college life, friendships, and rivalries.

Speaking of characters, this is where Being a Dik really stands out. Each person you meet in the game feels distinct, with their own personalities, motivations, and backstories. I enjoyed how the interactions felt realistic—there’s a lot of depth to each character, especially the potential love interests, who aren’t just eye-candy but are well-developed and have their own arcs. The game does a fantastic job of making me care about them, from the sweet moments to the drama-filled ones.

Visually, the game is gorgeous. The character designs are spot on, and the environments truly capture that college atmosphere. The art and animations really bring the world to life, and I found myself getting immersed in the setting as much as in the story itself. The soundtrack also complements everything perfectly, from the upbeat tracks during fun moments to the slower, more emotional ones that hit just right when the drama kicks in.

That said, Being a Dik isn’t for everyone. If you’re not into adult content or crude humor, it might not be your cup of tea. The sexual scenes are frequent and explicit, and some of the humor can definitely be off-color. But for me, the game struck a perfect balance—it's adult, but it’s not just about sex; it’s about choices, consequences, and building relationships.

Overall, Being a Dik is a standout in the adult visual novel genre. It has everything I love: a compelling story, relatable characters, meaningful choices, and yes, plenty of steamy moments. But it’s the heart behind it all—the personal growth, the friendships, and the drama—that makes it something special. If you're someone who enjoys adult games with substance, Being a Dik will not disappoint.

This is a review for season 1 and 2, I'll wait for completed season 3 or for abandoned before playing the rest of it.
It's criminal not to give this game five stars.
Let's all agree that Josy is actually the worst girl in this game, I know there is morons hating on Madame Rose thinking she is dominating them, if you feel emasculated by a woman inside a game that you are doing sexual things to who isn't even a domina, maybe don't mess with other guys that can turn you into an onahole bitch, just saying.
Amazing 3d animations, amazing collection of girls, if you are not into fetishes which is the norm now in the porn industry this game is perfect for you, but with that you get one of the most popular games, since it attracts a lot of virgin vanilla boys.
I unlocked 89/117 scenes in my first playthrough, which is actually weird, I counted what's missing and it's 20 scenes, because at the start of the game I thought Quinn's restaurant was a permanent thing, turns out it wasn't.
I'll fast forward a second playthrough and unlock all the rest using scrappy for cheats.
I think one of the worst decisions you could make in this game, is doing the Cathy scene, because it locks you out of 3 or 4 scenes with Isabella, so maybe save and see Cathy's final scene, and then reload and refuse instead.
Another bad decision would probably be going with Jade, but sadly it's scenes are few and far between, about 3 in total, so that definitely needs a second playthrough, or again just cheat? not sure if cheating will work with that scene.
But it's a bad decision because the scenes with Maya and Josy are much much more, and Maya is a bombshell.
A lot of different body types, a lot of different ethnicities, but really, the game is very vanilla, the wildest shit you do is public sex (nobody will see you but it's in public) and then it's all about the different sex positions which isn't really that innovative.
Anyway it was good, I don't think I'll have any further comments after unlocking what I missed in this playthrough.

This is a great VN. All around nice and memorable characters. The quality increased tenfold over development. I find some aspects a bit "meh", like the "house management" but that does not impact your enjoyability at all. I very much recommend this one.

Easily one of the best games of its genre, perhaps the best. The animations and visuals are fairly top tier, same with the minigames, very creative stuff for renpy. The only criticism I seriously have is that in a lot of the scenes, the characters seems to be moving a bit slow, like at 70 percent speed or something, so maybe speed a lot of the animations right on up, but great stuff here.

My first experience with this game was 4 years ago. I continued to wait for updates and chapters, finally finishing the game in 2 years.

If you asked me how was the game at that time, I would say it was clearly the best game of that time. Characters were interesting, (Sage and Jill definitely awesome, others are decent) Character modelling was high quality and the story was a typical collage student's journey but still interesting.

Yet, each season felt like it started to lose its quality. The first season was perfect, I would give 5 starts to it, but once the second season came, I felt like it wasn't great as first season. There were not that much of new characters, fooling with what we already have and only progressing with the story. That would rated 4 stars for me tbh.

After I finished the season 3, I again felt like it wasn't good as much as before, even lower than the previous season. Still, finally having a great time with Jill was worth it. Still, I cannot give this 5 stars, again. I can say 3.5 stars

That would because some things inside this game are shouldn't be here. I don't think there would be character paths in a game like this. You need to play the whole 3 seasons to see the other characters paths, also ending doesn't feel right.

I will still give 4 stars because of the characters, renewing the club house quest and the quality time this game gave me. It could be better, and it makes me sad.

I was playing this game when I was in high school. I was just turned to 18 around this time of the year and was playing this game as my first H-Game. Now, I'm 22 and a collage student. I feel old and sad.

Overall is a great game with a decent story, and various funny moments. The animations are on top level really, they're above so many other games in that part. I also liked that there was a lot of decisions and paths to go, and loved the characters.

Probably the game with the most amount of high quality content on the site and one of those that you know will be finished, so that's already big.

Two years ago I'd give this 5 stars easily and I was defending the game from free roam haters, but now... long waiting times for updates brings these issues out and I see why people have issues with it. I'm the kind of player that pays attention and wants to know all the details, so I'm kinda forced to replay the game before an update, because the wait times for updates are starting to get ridiculously long and you forget shit in between them. And so I had to deal with minigames and free roams so many times by now, I'm starting to hate them. Yes, you can disable minigames, but then you earn less money and some decisions are just forced on you.

Can't help but wonder how far into the story we'd be and possibly have more time with bros and girls we like, if all the time dev spends for these minigames would go into actual renders and story instead.

There are also some very annoying forced decisions you can't get around - inviting Jill on a date (why would I if I don't plan to do her path?) or telling Sage you want to be more than fuck buddies - then telling her "changed my mind", because I in fact wanted to just be fuck buddies and didn't play on her path at all, but game just decides that you do and when she is ready for you, you have to be an idiot and say "nah, changed my mind", if you want to chase another girl.

I thought for sure that I had written a review for this game long ago but perhaps it got deleted for some reason.

Being a DIK is in my top three favorite visual novels.

    Pros
    • Excellent renders, environments, and visuals
    • Excellent character models
    • Excellent writing
    • Excellent story
    • Excellent English
    • Excellent and unique characters
    • Excellent character development
    • Excellent game pace
    • Excellent ratio of story vs lewd content
    • Excellent humor
    • Good sex scenes (some excellent)
    • Good animations (some excellent)
    • Fun and lighthearted story
    • Amazing DnD adventures

    Meh
    • Some of the mini games get tedious (can be turned off)
    • Some of the free roam events get tedious and it's challenging to complete all the tasks at times
    • Some of the math/puzzle based mini games in the later episodes are hard to complete successfully

    Cons
    • Didn't care for the Interlude (Zoey story when she leaves the MC to pursue her surfing dream in San Diego)
    • Episode 9 (Halloween party) was fairly good but was 90% free roam events
    • Episode 10 was mostly dry story and missing most of the fun of earlier episodes
    • Some animations are too robotic/stiff
    • The dev doesn't use descriptive language much at all during sex scenes resulting in some of them lacking passion and immersion
    • MC cums once = sex is over! Lots of devs do this for some unknown reason??? A guy (even through his forties) can cum multiple times during sex. I personally could cum three times in a row without a break. The first orgasm would take 5 minutes, 2nd 10 minutes, 3rd 15 minutes. I even did it 7 times in one day when I was in my early 20s and had a high level of fitness. Cumming once = sex is over is highly unrealistic!
    • The game takes a turn for the worse after episode 8 and the tone of the game changes quite a bit for me. Choosing a LI to go steady with means that you are forced into being loyal to that LI and can only have sex with her and no one else. Yes, there's the 'Others' path but the game feels wrong if you choose to commit to a LI in episode 8. The MC gets into lots of potential sexual situations with girls and has to tell them repeatedly that he is committed to someone and won't cheat. With episodes 1-8 being a fuckfest with lots of girls, it just feels off. If you want to continue to fuck lots of girls (side LIs) you have to choose the 'Others' path (not committing to any girl) which then blocks you from having sex with most of the main LIs. If you love to do multiple playthroughs (5 in total to see all paths/content) then great, otherwise I feel that this was a bad decision by the developer.

    Conclusion
    • Episodes 1-8 - 5/5 stars - near masterpiece - brilliant fun
    • Interlude - 3.5/5 stars - meh... not my cup of tea
    • Episode 9 - 4 stars - minus one star for the forced cockblocking and blue balling if you don't choose the 'Others' path - Too many free roam events
    • Episode 10 - 4 stars - more cockblocking and forced faithfulness to your chosen LI if you don't choose the 'Others' path - story is a bit dry - not as fun as previous episodes

A near masterpiece AVN! Yes, there are things that I dislike and could be improved upon but overall the developer did an awesome job with this game!

All the pieces fit together well to make an engaging and fun game! The best parts of the game are the beautiful characters, writing, story, and humor.

I highly recommend this game and encourage others to give it a try!

One of my favorite AVNs on F95Zone! The author does nearly everything well with little to criticize.

Most visual novels offer the illusion of choice while Being a DIK offers real branching (very rare).

The game is a fun ride but loses it's charm a bit after episode 8. I didn't find the Interlude and episodes 9 and 10 to be as fun as earlier content.

The renders and writing is superb with a fun cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities.

    A few minor negatives:

The animations can be a bit stiff. Not enough body parts are moving in some of them with more facial changes needed. Still, the animations are good and above average.

Some of the sex scenes could be more passionate and engaging. Overall, the lewd content is good and sometimes even great.

The author insists that Being a DIK is not a harem game so there are plenty of hard choices that the player has to make regarding relationships. You can fuck lots of girls through episode 8 with few consequences. If you want to continue to be a playboy after episode 8 you have to choose the Others path and not commit to any of the LIs in the game. If you don't choose the Others path, then you are locked into having sex with your chosen LI ONLY. I feel that this was a poor decision as you only get a very limited number of sex scenes if you commit to any of the LIs.

Zoey is cool and all but the Interlude was my least favorite part of the game. In the Interlude you switch to playing Zoey (the MC's best friend and casual lover). The story devolves into her getting lots of tattoos and piercings which I don't care for with girls. I had a hard time getting through this as it was painful to watch Zoey ruin her beautiful body with large bold tattoos.

    Final Thoughts

A great game that is very well done in nearly every way!
