Was it confirmed they were a couple in this? No did something happen between them sure it looks like it but that's as far as it went.Firstly, how do we know Cathy doesn't know that Jade and Bella don't get along?
Secondly, would have it been so outside the realms of possibility that the conversation could have gone in that direction if written differently?
Thirdly, Bella might not have told the MC about her college days had it not been for Jill being there to help coax her, a fact nobody could've known because we had no idea she'd be there with Bella and Cathy.

I wish DPC would. That official walkthrough they did for the first season was so brilliant, but it seems like they're either not going to keep doing that for each episode, or maybe they're going to wait a while before releasing it to let people have a go at it without help.

Press the arrow at the bottom of the screen past the stairs that lead upwards.
Second floor by the stairs you push the back arrow, door on your right by the cabinets in the room.
I tried the cheat download and it works, but I like the walkthrough because it tells you what triggers what. Like what DIK/CHICK ratio triggers the new Cathy scene, etc. I missed it on my NEUTRAL character.

People come up with bold speculations about everything all the time, and sure, there's an element of fiction to it because it's about coming up with plausible ideas based on the available information, personal interpretation, and imagination. Just look at how so many YouTubers got the wrong theories about what would happen in The Last Jedi and the massive shitstorm that caused.I mean I told so many of the people in here that fan fiction writers will have it wrong when it came to ep 5
And what happened I was rite so many fan fiction writers got it wrong
And me and the real fans told u guys the truth on basicly every count of what happened in ep 5 and it came true
So just saying if u want to have realistic theories and predictions don't listen to fantasy essay makers

Did I say they were a couple? That was the accusation lobbed at me at that time and, as you can see from the quoted post, I said that that wasn't what I was saying, but rather that something, even a small something, of an intimate nature happened between them and Ep 5 strongly seems to confirm that is the case.
Also, never said Riona was solely responsible for all the bad stuff, but simply that in her role as Quinn's closest helper, she might have done some things for Quinn that she regrets doing, and it certainly seems like she's having a tough time dealing with Quinn's shit in this episode.
