Hey guys, first time posting, i had this idea in my head after playing a second playthrough that a big piece of drama of the game would be the father dying or at least having an accident, now, it's straight out of my hat and i don't have much proof to go with it, other than the fact that the phone call where he is on the construction site and calls out his colleague on not wearing a hard hat would be a tchekhov gun of some kind (once again just my train of thought that went all over the place).

Plus the tidbit about the letter related to his mother could be his grandfather acknowledging him and giving him money ? Maybe ? Idk, just random theories that came to me while i played .

Welcome. Always good to have people who enjoy a good theory about this game and it's pretty much what this thread is about.

The Neil theory is certainly one that has been doing the rounds for a while, so you're certainly not alone in having that thought. Same thing with the letter theory, so you're off to a good start in thinking what a lot of other people already do.

Just as a heads-up, is there any consensus or very plausible theory as to what the deal with chad enveloppe was ?
I doubt it's about Melanie since he doesn't seem so scare of losing Sage that he would cry over it but i can't think of anything else .

I see, the micro dick i doubt it since the joke is already use with Dawe, and seeing how Melanie is (most likely) the side chick, it wouldn't go well with her slutty personality . The guy theory is interesting, that may have a link with the expulsion of Troy from the tri-alpha.

Completly unrelated btw but is DPC planning on adding more music to the game ? 'Cause honestly i was expecting to hear How To Save a life from The Fray at some point and it never happened . Then again it may have been a bit to expansive .

Maybe when things got intense with him and Sage nothing would happen and he'd make claims like he's "tired" or "not in the mood", so perhaps they've never had sex.

No problem with that. I get that it might seem daunting when you see the page numbers, but we're a welcoming bunch here and it's inevitable that new players like yourself might share a lot of the same theories that have been discussed at length already. So don't feel like you can't express your thoughts and theories because of that. We're quite happy to talk these things through again.

I agree with the meaning of your speech, but in the specific case this premise of DPC is not very useful, indeed it seems to me more advertising than service information
DPC is rightly very proud of his work and wants not to be considered a developer like any other.

it won't save him from criticism eventually, I don't even want to assume that some player does some nonsense after being "disappointed" by the game

Holy cow lol, that was a weird moment. Starting the game up, and MC has a very similar haircut to mine. This is eerie... time to relive college differently!
