"No, what we think is that.."No, what we think is that staying with Sage is a CHICK move according to in-game's standards, so it shouldn't mean a penalty for those interested in Jill, as she's been all for CHICK decisions so far. If this changes in the very moment those decisions affect her directly... well, we can say that's because women are complex, but basically throws out of the window all what DPC has built in terms of gaming mechanics and characterization
Thats the issue. When you said "what we think", you assumed WE=EVERYONE thinks the same way when it comes to "your" in-game's standards. Maybe some of them share the same view as yours, but NOT ALL.
I, for one, have a different in-game assessment compared to yours. I personally feel the penalty was worth the immersion. Heck, DPC may or may not share the assessment you have. That's probably why instead of locking the choice based on morality, he left it up to us.
Im not saying you're wrong, im not saying you're right... but you sure as hell cant say DPC "threw out the window game characterization.. blah blah".
Because i think the decision to make it our choice instead of "morality-locking" it made the game mechanic better (it gave me a dillema i had to stress fully choose) and the main character more in-tune with my playstyle.
You probably dont agree, and i respect that. But going off to say DPC destroyed the game mechanics and characterization is just a tad bit too far.
