No, what we think is that staying with Sage is a CHICK move according to in-game's standards, so it shouldn't mean a penalty for those interested in Jill, as she's been all for CHICK decisions so far. If this changes in the very moment those decisions affect her directly... well, we can say that's because women are complex, but basically throws out of the window all what DPC has built in terms of gaming mechanics and characterization
"No, what we think is that.."

Thats the issue. When you said "what we think", you assumed WE=EVERYONE thinks the same way when it comes to "your" in-game's standards. Maybe some of them share the same view as yours, but NOT ALL.

I, for one, have a different in-game assessment compared to yours. I personally feel the penalty was worth the immersion. Heck, DPC may or may not share the assessment you have. That's probably why instead of locking the choice based on morality, he left it up to us.

Im not saying you're wrong, im not saying you're right... but you sure as hell cant say DPC "threw out the window game characterization.. blah blah".

Because i think the decision to make it our choice instead of "morality-locking" it made the game mechanic better (it gave me a dillema i had to stress fully choose) and the main character more in-tune with my playstyle.

You probably dont agree, and i respect that. But going off to say DPC destroyed the game mechanics and characterization is just a tad bit too far.

Remember Jill is stressing out at the moment, her piano practice isn't going well, Tybalt is threatening legal action against MC for trespass and other things, she's trying to break up with MC to protect him from Tybalt's action, her tits are too heavy and it's giving her a backache, and she's just rushed around and organised this awesome picnic and the MC tells her to FO! If it was me, I would have knifed the MC!
Umm... nope. Still not buying that Jill wouldn't understand if MC said he already promised to take care of his sick friend. Lol.

Also and for the record, the game doesn't give you a chance to excuse yourself with Sage if you want to go out with Jill, totally out of character for a supposed "chick MC". We get no choice but to technically ghost a sick Sage already waiting us.
He does message Sage, just after you choose Jill he says, "Yeah, but I need to write a text before we leave.". Then your chat history shows, "Sorry, Sage. I can't make it right now. Something came up. Is it cool if I drop by later?" and if you're serious with Sage she messages back, "Ok... No, don't drop by. I changed my mind.", otherwise, if you're just friends she messages, "It's fine. I'll manage." Unfortunately you can't see any of these messages yet. You'll see them next episode when you get a chance to look at your phone (I don't think there's any opportunity to look at your phone messages from this point onward in e6).

Agreed, we need much more Quinn chat! Slightly different answers above make it even better. I know she hasn't been the most popular girl on here, but I've always really liked her and thought there a fire between her and MC. There are interesting things happening with her character now too, layers of complexity and hints at a softer side, This update was great for Quinn fans. I think perhaps a lot of people have missed her scenes completely because they're on the CHIK/ M/J path. My advice would be to give her a shot, I don't think they'll be disappointed.
Yeah, everybody loves pimps and drug dealers.:rolleyes:

The story is getting more and more farfetched.

I wonder how Sage can't see what's happening right under her nose.

The question still stands though. SOMEBODY is a rat. Lol.
Oh i know but it still triggers me when everyone keeps talking about it like its cannon, its not like the Cathy situation were everyone has to experience it, it only happens if you trigger specific things in your own playthrough.

Yeah, tons of moments like this. Most of conflicts arise just for the lack of a very simple communication between characters. And having 19-23 years old is not an excuse
The Devil is in the details as some say, and this detail breaks the character that a "chick" MC is supposed to be. We've seen that "chick MC" is a caring MC. I don't even mind losing points bc hell it's gonna happen at some point, but why making one of the "dikest" moves (IMO), a requirement and/or forced outcome for a path that's supposed to be "chick" path a.k.a. the good guy path? That "wait, what?" moment broke the immersion during my playtime. I still gonna love the game, but those things suck when you're immerse in a story.

hmm i've been checking something.
That previous date with Jill.

You may actually be right. but then drPinkcake would be breaking his word about no incest here.
There is indeed a link between jill's sister and mc's mother. But this is just a little info about her sister.
Jill is 21 in Ch5. her sister died when she was 3.

So yeah the same as mc's mother 18 years ago, or is it just a coincident?

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Jill‘s presumed age (20/21) is the strongest indication things don’t line up. If she is 21, she would of only been 2 when her sister left (9 month’s pregnancy). Only way round this is if Jill had a gap year. Nothing to suggest she did other than her more mature attitude. (Which isn’t evidence, The age is the primary reason I think the incest isn’t the case)

To be clear, I DO NOT think MC and Jill are related. Not what I'm about to say. But...

It's weird that in a sex game, with so many girls you can do so much to already, the farthest we've gotten with Jill is an accidental boob grab. Depending on your choices MC has been in more asses than a proctologist, but with Jill it's like we're in 6th grade. I get that she's the chaste "good girl" option, and I'm all for that, but an actual lesbian has banged MC at this point. Second base seems reasonable by Episode 6.

My point in bringing this up is -- and again, I don't think the answer is incest -- I'm wondering if this isn't intentional. By which I mean, are we getting NOTHING off Jill for a reason other than because she's the "good girl"? I'm probably overthinking this, but it's starting to feel really conspicuous in the larger context of what is, let's not forget, a porn game.

It's certainly possible (and far more palatable than the incest theories). Even if not, I think there's going to be something in Lynette's diary, at some point, that ties her to someone MC knows in the present. Not as a relative, but some kind of tie. It's the only real reason I can see for introducing the diaries in the first place.
Haha I find it funny how defensive people feel the need to be while discussing a theory.

I think we are supposed to think it is the ‘good girl’ thing. We are getting a little progress, make out and over the clothes groping in the latest episode. Possible she may end up being a virgin. Not particularly my thing, but it’s something we haven’t had yet.

I agree the diary will have to connect to someone. The prime candidate is Bella. She is about the right age. Certainly within a school year of Lynette‘s age. Possible she runs away to stay with Bella before Going to the hotel and meeting MCs dad.

This might also explain why Bella is drawn to the MC. He reminds her of her lost friend, possibly physically and perhaps emotionally.

i hate choosing between Jill and Sage, they're my top favorites, but then it only shows that we're in the part of the game where pursuing multiple LIs is not a smart move. it will surely have consequences.
now, im curious how that consequences will unfold.

it got me thinking though, is Jill somewhat related to Sage?:ROFLMAO: we never know, the rich ones do have a small world:ROFLMAO: its just that Jill and Sage are total opposites i find it a bit odd, or im just overthinking things, cant move on from choosing between them:ROFLMAO:

You're overthinking things, as we keep progressing threw the game we are going to have to make more and more decisions about the LI's. This isn't a harem game, your going to have to pick one and probably soon or you may lose out on all of them.

"What we think" as in that other user you replied and me. And I never said this choice should be morality locking (in fact, I don't like that some other choices were indeed morally locked when there was nothing in-game that justify that), just that according to the in-games morality standards, staying with Sage should be considered a CHICK move. This is not saying that being a CHICK should force you to stay with her.

Chill a bit, man, I'm not trying to force you to stop pledging DPC if you like his game, I'm just stating a couple of things I don't like and how I feel about them. And yes, in my opinion he's making inconsistent choices regarding affinity and characterizations, and some players like me have issues with that

That's why i don't play with the WT mod, i don't want "paths" to define the choices i make, at least not for my first playthrough.

I didn't see any of this. I even did ask here is there was any difference during this point on different affinities. Gotta try it again I guess.

I never play with WT, but I read the scripts and the forum so I know what choices are blocked and why, even if I didn't experiment those blocks during my playthrough. And some of them just don't make any sense
