Actually, I think it could have an effect, and mainly on Sage. It would be bad enough if she found out he was cheating with another girl, but to find out that she was his beard for all these years could crush her when she realises how much time and devotion she gave to their relationship but it was never going to be reciprocated. My point is that maybe we could sense something was off with her, but nobody was expecting THAT. That game broke some common grounds for the genre, in this case the crazy bitch being actually crazy and not just a wild, fun and easy hook up.
