Ep 6 released Nov 13th, so we're not close to 5 months yet.

I did lay this out in my earlier theory, but I'll do it again in greater detail and with bullet points:
  • Bella and Jill are playing tennis
  • Tybalt interrupts them, suggests playing Jill
  • Bella says no because it's just supposed to be her and Jill playing
  • Tybalt suggests doubles and getting a 4th to join, goes to call a Prep buddy
  • Bella says she has someone else in mind, Tybalt capitulates because he's trying to befriend Bella
  • Bella, unbeknownst to Jill and Tybalt, calls the MC
  • The MC shows up, Jill is surprised, Tybalt is pissed
  • Bella gets annoyed at Tybalt, says she'll just leave if he won't let the MC join, Jill gets upset that Bella wants to leave
  • Tybalt, in order to keep Jill happy, lets the MC stay so that Bella will stay, which is what Jill wants.
In this scenario, it's Bella wanting the MC to stay because he's her guest, and Tybalt knows how much Bella means to Jill and how much he needs to keep Bella on-side, so if Jill is upset at Bella leaving, he'll capitulate because it satisfies two of his goals, being on good terms with Bella and keeping Jill happy, even if it means going against his own blackmail conditions.
I'd rather them do something else. I feel the same way about tennis as I do about D&G. First time is fun. Second time, not so much. Unless it turns into a dream sequence fuckfest on the court, I could probably get into that. The problem is I believe Jill said it was part of her regular routine (tennis, yoga, gym, etc.), so we're probably getting a second/third helping. The issue is you really can't get much variety with tennis and yoga. We've already done pretty much all the standard porn game yoga tropes. Tennis is what it is...you smack some balls around (no not that kind you perverts). I had more fun in the shower with Jill blue balling me than I did with the tennis game itself. At least with D&G you can have different quests, but again I want to see new things.

Why would Jill allow Bella to do that? If she's worried about Tybalt's threat (which we know she is, thanks to her idiotic subplot in Episode 6), she should be worried about pissing Tybalt off. That's the fundamental problem with your scenario: Jill isn't stringing Tybalt along until she can outmaneuver him, she thinks she has to give up the MC for his own good. Bella would need to fool her too, and that's a lot harder.

But more importantly, what does your scenario achieve for the audience? If the point is to enjoy humiliating Tybalt again, then we're directly undercutting the whole point of letting Tybalt blackmail Jill in the first place. Tybalt has been a punching bag from day one. We already know the MC is better than him. We know that Jill knows the MC is better than him. We even know that Tybalt knows the MC is better than him (though he'll obviously try to deny it). Illustrating it yet again is a) dull and b) incompatible with Tybalt becoming a genuine obstacle to Jill's romance.

There are only two ways to make this work: either Jill decides the MC is right and she will resume her relationship with the MC (openly or in secret), or the match allows Tybalt to get the better of the MC (something along the lines of the scenario you laid you, but then Tybalt insists Jill leave for their date and she agrees without meeting the MC's eyes).

I don't consider the former tenable because we're back to having no brake on the Jill romance. If the two of them like each other, there's no reason not to get together; even if it's in secret at first, the mere passage of time will eventually render Tybalt's threat moot.

I do consider the latter option viable, but it sure as hell wouldn't be fun.

If by "Why would Jill allow Bella to do that?" you're referring to Bella calling the MC, well obviously she wouldn't know that's who she's calling. We also know that Jill is a people pleaser and doesn't enjoy confrontation, so if Bella wants the MC to be there then she's not going argue against it because it's Bella's choice. Also, she didn't exactly have a problem hanging out with him in the library and Tybalt even saw them together, so why would she have a problem here? Perhaps she thinks that the conditions only apply to seeing him alone and not in social interactions where there are other people around, in which case a doubles tennis match qualifies. Also, she might see this as an opportunity to mend the rift between the MC and Tybalt and thus make Tybalt rescind his ultimatum/blackmail.

Yes, Tybalt has been the butt of many a joke, but that's the point. He is that archetypal upperclass twit who thinks he's better than the blue-collar protag, but the protag keeps getting one over on him in various comical and humiliating ways, and that's Tybalt's role here. He's not likely meant to be any sort of serious contender or antagonist, he's meant to be the joke and it can it happen as many times as it wants. In Wile E Coyote cartoons, you always know he's going to get humiliated at every turn, but it never stops being funny, and that's Tybalt.

Hmm... Some events in the game are that difficult to accept, is it that, right? Then I don't know anymore. I am quite sensitive, get fond of likable characters and hate when they suffer... or die. Surely it is for the best if I pass on this one then.

By the way, in BaDIK, Dr. Pincake warns, through Jill's message at the start of the game for new players very much in this same sense, I get. However I have found the first six episodes fun and lighthearted enough so far. (I have laughed out loud quite a few times playing this). Truth be said, I have played as a massive dik right from the start. Perhaps going another route for the protagonist would have got different and harsher outcomes.

Anyway I really hope this game does not get too dramatic. That would kill much of its fun in my humble opinion. I would hate something really bad happens to sweet Maya, my fav chick in the game. We will see, I guess...
you are making the correct choice.
As for BADIK... I am just going to say it, DPC is a self indulging asshole who will drag one or more LI and who knows how many side girls into some kind of death or hell, because he can not help himself.... so be warned...

Jill routine
You know, if Jill ever says, "coming to bed honey?" like in the video you'd think you'd be in for some sexy time, but no. She'll take off her nightgown to make sure you're properly blue balled, then say a quick prayer to Jesus, turn out the lights, roll over and go to sleep. Sure, you may wake up a couple of hours later with her unconsciously humping your hand, but she's the only one in that bed who is going to get off that's for sure. :cautious:

TV Shows could never survive on two-three episodes a year. I think this could ultimately be a big problem for DPC. The game is episodic, and people will begin to forget what happens in between episodes, but the game will also be too long to replay every time a new episode comes out.
You entitled to have your wrong opinion, and I respect that.
I don't think that's a good analogy. The time to play a BaDIK episode is easily 2+ hours, which makes it more like a movie than a TV show. It's rare for a series to put out more than 1 movie in a 2 year period, so maybe we should be grateful for what we have!
Being a DIK, three episodes each year (episode play time duration is increasing):

Episode 1: Feb, 2019
Episode 2: May, 2019
Episode 3: Aug, 2019
Episode 4: Jan, 2020
Episode 5: May, 2020
Episode 6: Nov, 2020

Tybalt will be taken down hard in the following way:
During the next fuckfest with Jade, she will be gently sucking and licking her juice and his cum off his still semi hard cock, and will look up as she licks him and state that she needs a small favor-
Tybalt- a stepson of hers with Stephen, is breaking a little known law by violating the fresh juicy succulence of innocent water melons. He discards their used carcasses in the dumpster. Eventually it will come back to haunt her, so she wants the MC to arrange an accident for the perv that violates the watermelons. The MC leaves, runs by Bella's to borrow her special chain saw, and then Tybalt is later found to have fallen into a wood chipper. He is covered in watermelon DNA and somehow has some old and crusted DNA from James as well.... The conclusion is that Tybalt was killed by James while eating a watermelon, and now the manhunt is on for a man whose body has been spread around at least 10 different states.......

Jade is happy, MC has to service Bella until the end of time, and thus is happy, Jill doesn't have to worry about Tybalt, and the MC goes on happily spreading his seed where ever he wants!

Treasures of Nadia by NLT Media. The renders are good and the female characters are hot, but they have overly exaggerated proportions and rubbery looking skin. BaDIK at least has a good mix of characters that look a little bit more realistic with just a few who have exaggerated proportions.
That's probably why i like Jade so much, a man like me loves those "exaggerated proportions". :ROFLMAO:

Who do you think Jill would expect Bella to call? As you've said in the past, Bella doesn't seem to have a lively social circle at the moment.

Also, Jill DID have a problem in the library. She had to be talked into staying by Josy, then roped into D&G by Magnar. On top of that, she probably would have left with Tybalt if not for Sally. Jill knows full well she's "supposed" to spend time with Tybalt and not with the MC.

And before you say "Bella will be just like Sally," keep in mind that in that case Tybalt decided to leave rather than continue to press Jill to toe the line. If he leaves, no doubles. If he stays, Jill will have to either call Tybalt's bluff on her own or knuckle under. Those are the two scenarios I just laid out.

Yes, Tybalt has been the butt of many a joke, but that's the point. He is that archetypal upperclass twit who thinks he's better than the blue-collar protag, but the protag keeps getting one over on him in various comical and humiliating ways, and that's Tybalt's role here. It stopped being a joke in Episode 6 when Jill bought into his ultimatum! If Tybalt remains the one-note buffoon, then Jill really is the sheltered fool people often accuse her of being. That's worse than Tybalt being a viable threat, at least in my book.

If this is the moment when Jill calls his bluff and humiliates him yet again, fine by me; I never liked that plotline to begin with. But in that I case I expect a real relationship with Jill (or fireworks if he's been sleeping around), because there's nothing left to stand in the way. I'm sure as hell not going to play along when the MC tries to climb onto Jill's balcony at night because "we can't be seen together."

That means no more side chicks, no more rain checks to bump Jill for other plot points, and no more introspective looks at her polaroid. Do you think we're ready for that? I don't.

Oh, and on an unrelated note, am I the only one who was rooting for Wile E. Coyote because I got tired of watching the Road Runner humiliate him?

I've had a strange relationship with Josy. When I first started BaDIK I felt Josy was being forced on me (MC immediately professes his love internally, meanwhile Kellermann wasn't quite there yet). I thought, oh boy Megan part 2. Then she more or less disappears from the story while MC goes off to college. For me, she was out of sight out of mind especially with all of the college hotties on display before my lustful eyes. I warmed up a little more to her when we had our date. After the big reveal, I forgave Maya and Josy instantly even though MC sulked around for an entire episode. Then, with the last couple of episodes, she just started looking amazing to me. There wasn't much of a physical change as far as I can tell, but the switch had been flipped. I was like damn she's smoking hot. I really want a full and legitimate Josy solo path in addition to the threesome so I can spend more time with her exclusively.
It's like reading a post of my own if I'd hijacked your account and forgot I was logged in as you. :) Josy has really grown on me the last couple episodes. She was downright gorgeous in Ep 6 - love the new hairstyle. I'm concerned about my ability to have a solo path with her though, as my character is always going to be on the DIK side and I never enter the M&J relationship, but I told Derek I still had feelings for Josy, and had the chat with Josy after carrying her bags to her room where she indicates she still has feelings for the MC...gonna be curious to see if a DIK character has a shot or not.

See its the opposite for me and i know you guys have heard me say it before but Pre Josy Maya was the best character in the game, her character development was amazing but then she lost all of that when Josy came back into the picture.

Ahh how i miss the days when Maya was actually trying to be a headstrong women and not constantly being led around on a whim by others. If we did get old Maya back she would definitely dethrone Jade for me but that's probably never going to happen.

Game of thrones went for 8 years and only increased its fan base each year inspite of going downhill at season 6 onwards. I think this game will manage. :)
But that was with 8-10 episodes a season, a season every year or two (at the most).

We're on pace for a four-episode season every 2 years. It's not quite the same.

Think of it this way: think about what you were like 5 years ago (2016), your interests, the things that were important to you - and then think about how they've changed. 5 years is a loooong time. I hope it works, but it could be hard to hang on to the momentum with a game so infrequently, especially towards the end.

Subscriber base is only trending upward.

Has leveled off pretty much since the last release. Maybe it goes back up when the release date is announced. I think it's worth considering if we need MORE (more tennis, more D&G-type scenes, etc) or just a solid, tight story that delivers every 2-3 months.

EDIT: Again, I don't want to seem like a hater - I LOVE this game. I just worry about the sustainability of a project that is still 5 years away from completion.

Hmm, well I'm a natural DIK but for my M&J playthrough I kept up the facade of a CHICK just long enough to get locked in to the relationship. After that, I went back to my old ways. I think Maya is the more CHICK of the two and Josy is more DIK (funny how that reflects their sexual preference leanings too). If DPC does split them up, I think we'll be fine going after Josy as a DIK. I can't see Maya sticking with a DIK (heh, there it is again) for very long. She needs that CHICK action.

Who do you think Jill would expect Bella to call? As you've said in the past, Bella doesn't seem to have a lively social circle at the moment.
Only because we haven't seen anyone beyond Jill and the MC, and possibly even Cathy, but it doesn't mean there aren't some other people. Jill could be just as confused as the rest of us as to who else Bella has to call and just trusts that Bella is calling someone she knows who isn't the MC and who might be available.

Also, Jill DID have a problem in the library. She had to be talked into staying by Josy, then roped into D&G by Magnar. On top of that, she probably would have left with Tybalt if not for Sally. Jill knows full well she's "supposed" to spend time with Tybalt and not with the MC.
And that's the point. She gets talked into these because she's a people pleaser who doesn't want to let people down, which is why she'd allow the MC to be there if it's what Bella wants and is also why she's so torn about about this situation (the blackmail) because it's one where she feels she can't please both parties.

But Tybalt won't leave and Bella wouldn't make him like Sally did because here he'd likely be stuck between a rock and a hard place too. He wants to woo Jill and spending time with her is how he hopes to do that, but he also knows Bella is a key influence on Jill and befriending her could help him win over Jill. But, if Bella threatens to leave because Tybalt is against the MC joining, that would upset Jill and he wouldn't want to do that, so in order to continue his efforts to keep Bella on-side and to keep Jill happy, he'd have to let the MC stay.

So Tybalt can't leave otherwise he gives up time with Jill, and he also can't let Bella leave as this doesn't help his ultimate goal. Tybalt may also see this as a chance to show up the MC and impress Jill by being better than him. If Jill were to question Tybalt about it later, his reason is simple which is that he did it out of respect for Bella and because Bella is important to Jill. It's an easy excuse that lets him justify breaking his own terms whilst also making it seem like he it did for a selfless reason.

It stopped being a joke in Episode 6 when Jill bought into his ultimatum! If Tybalt remains the one-note buffoon, then Jill really is the sheltered fool people often accuse her of being. That's worse than Tybalt being a viable threat, at least in my book.
We all know Jill is very sheltered and naive, but this also falls into another archetype, even if they aren't always as naive and innocent as Jill.

These kinds of character dynamics in a love triangle, where the woman is either wittingly or unwittingly naive to the faults of their current partner/pursuer whilst the new guy bests him at almost every turn and/or proves himself the better man, are all too common in fiction and I see no problem with it also being employed here. One such example is Wedding Crashers, where Bradley Cooper's character is the rich, arrogant douche who Rachel MacAdams continues to like and defend even when Owen Wilson is showing himself to be the better man.

Not a fan of Romeo and Juliet, I take it?

Oh, and on an unrelated note, am I the only one who was rooting for Wile E. Coyote because I got tired of watching the Road Runner humiliate him?
Yes.
