First, this is not just a porn game. If you are only interested in porn, you can also go to one of the many streaming sites for it. There are always real girls there.

For a lot of people, it's about the story that's being told.
Emotions, because they might see parallels to their real lives.

For me it's like that. A few years ago I had a real class girlfriend. She looked like Maya and had the character of Josy.
And DIK as I was, I screwed that up 2 years later. And believe me the decision I made one night, I still regret 10 years later.

Translated with DeepL
OK, so maybe I could have been clearer, but you kinda made my point for me.

I know this is more than a porn game, just as I know you didn’t come browsing F95 looking for a good story. I came here for Bella. I stayed for the story. BaDIK is one of only 3 adult games I’ve ever played all the way through (or up to the end of the most recent update), and it’s because of the story.

If you’re after a good story, but limit yourself to just one LI, then you’re missing out on half the story. If you like it as a game or porn, then you’re still missing out on half the game and porn. If you came here for therapy, then you completely ignored the game’s warning label.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

And if you are intentionally skipping the parts of the story that hit too close to home (or only focusing on the parts that do), then surely you must do the same in all other forms of artistic media (i.e., film, TV, music, literature, etc.), right?

All I’m saying is you’re robbing yourself of worthwhile content.
This story isn't as good as we think it is, nor are the characters as great as we are made to feel they are. Compare this game to any seriously good literature and it's laughable how we are obsessed with this.

When watching porn, or experiencing new sexual encounters (real or virtual) all sorts of chemicals are released in the brain. Oxytocin, dopamine, phenylethylamine, adrenaline - they all trick our brain into thinking this shit is awesome.

Of course BaDIK is better than a lot of games here, it deserves the praise it's receiving within this genre, but it's not that good.

In my unprofessional opinion, it's very unhealthy to take this game (and others like Acting Lessons) too seriously. The people who went berserk at DPC when they couldn't handle the traumatic outcome of AL probably weren't mature enough to differentiate between the game and real life relationships.

This game should be played for fun. Enjoy the sex, revel in the drama, get shocked at whatever shocking shit there is to come, but ultimately just have fun with it. Most people posting here are posting funny shit, interesting theories, crazy conspiracies (not gonna mention names of all the futa-Jill loving maniacs out there...) and just enjoying sharing the experience, that's cool. But in the end it's just a game with porn. If you make it more than that, you're probably setting yourself up for some significant hurt.

I think it helps if you call your mc "Fuckace". ;)

Is it only me or does the app take like 2 mins to load?

Thanks
First time I run it after a PC reboot it takes about 20-30 seconds, after that it's much quicker. Do you have all the RPY files extracted? If you do, I think it compiles everything when you run the game.

Not really hating on the drama. Just feel that much drama needs a proper disclosure...

AL is a game I played once, and I’m perfectly content never picking it up again. I respect it for what it is, but I don’t see the value in revisiting the story/characters again.

I’m fully aware people feel differently though.
I never played any alternate routes in AL either, which is unusual for me. And while there are things I'm still curious about in the game (like Melissa), given the misery I'd have to go through to get to the end I doubt that will change. It's just not worth it.

I think I understand what he was going for and why he wanted it to come as a surprise, but I don't think the end result was good. An audience needs some idea of what they're getting into when they start a game, and AL deliberately misled them.

I really hope DPC got all that out of his system in AL.

My point there was when the MC is given the option to “go see Bella” after asking Jill out. Personally, I would “go see Bella” every time - to thank her for her vote of confidence in me. The problem is that, while that scene starts as expected, it transforms into the make out session without any option for the MC to stop it.

A simple “it’s moving to fast for me” option would’ve been very welcome here. That way players who want to genuinely thank Bella can do so without fear of it evolving into something else.

The entire scene is skippable, yes. I still feel like an asshole for not even properly thanking Bella though, and that really should have been an option - especially for a CHICK MC.

Remember in this situation we are thanking her for trusting us to ask Jill out...

As for the staying with her, I feel that route isn’t too “romantic” to be prohibitive, but since the library scene is a requirement for that option DPC had different ideas there.

The drunk scene I can forgive - we were drunk...
Preach on! Bella is the one LI I just don't like romancing. I've compared it to insisting a recovered alcoholic go out clubbing with you. The MC is, overall, a decent guy even on a DIK run. But for some reason he is just obsessed with getting into Bella's pants even when it's blatantly obvious that she is really uncomfortable with that. It gets even worse if the MC skips staying with Bella in Episode 4, because then the "relationship" goes from her sobbing that she's married in the library to the MC's full-court press in the sauna without skipping a beat. o_O

Like you, I wound up skipping the whole scene just to avoid leching on poor Isabella, and I don't understand why it works that way. I get the need to keep branching to a sensible level, but given that the MC can miss the entire scene you'd think it would be minimal effort to give the MC a clear choice to make a move on Bella or not. I can't think of anything in that scene prior to the make-out session that would be a game changer if the MC saw it and then passed on Bella.

So yeah, it's just a very weird and uncomfortable bit in a game that stands out all the more for how well done most of the LI relationships are (Maya & Josy's reconciliation in the other library notwithstanding).

It's interesting that Episode 6 finally had some closure to this: MCs who visited Bella in the library but then turned down her offer to help clean up will explicitly note that they don't want to take things further with Bella. Late in coming, but perhaps we can finally spend time with Bella without treating her as a future bedpost notch.

Maybe that's what DPC is going for, the MC putting the full court press on bella and she having a major psychological breakdown after they sleep together. Who knows honestly, all we can do is theorize.

I wonder if, for those of us who break off pursuit of Bella by telling her we don't need help cleaning, in order to drive the drama for another chunk of episodes, DPC will write in that Bella gets semi obsessed with MC and starts stalking him around, or if she'll truly just become like a buddy in the game that will help you "woo" Jill against Tybalt.

Edit - just to add here, one of the reasons I was wondering about this is back in Episode 5 at Bella's place after they have pancakes, Jill goes to the bathroom and MC says to Bella that he doesn't have to take her class if it'll be awkward and she basically tells him to stop it, and he makes a comment about how "there's something between us" and that's not an optional comment, it is canon, so it just made me think about it a bit.

Loved her Rooster post during MC & Jill's date where Tybalt won't shutup about who took the photo of Jill and finally Bella goes "I took it, now stop bothering her" or something along those lines.

We kind of almost got there after the ep6 scene. But then MC washed it away by hugging her in his sleep. At this point, I am fully expecting a mental breakdown of some sort, though.

Oh, I'd put money on that. The question is why it's still possible to opt out of Bella entirely but not just the full court press.

It could be that DPC wants to offer more options than are realistic, so he plays the odds and hopes the player will pick the 'right' option. That would explain why some scenes make much more sense in certain playthroughs like Maya's "No Strings Attached" speech if the MC sleeps around, or Tybalt's blackmail if the MC punched him in full view of the fraternity. If that's the case, the odds are certainly stacked in DPC's favor on this one.

As you say, we can only guess.

I'm guessing turning down Bella will end the romance chance (at least for the foreseeable future). The MC will explicitly note that he didn't accept Bella's offer because he was afraid it might go too far:

That sounds like a clear indication the inexplicable infatuation is over. Admittedly, I'm not sure how this would tie into a future breakdown if that happens. Perhaps it's just more hedging: the game certainly makes it easy to accept Bella's 'help.'

Honestly the Bella route has always been kind of weird, don't get me wrong she's hot at fuck but she never really felt like a teacher to me and to make matters worse she does some of the dumbest shit i've ever seen a teacher do like sleeping in the MC's room at the frat house and not leaving early.

At least Jade has some common sense and tries to keep things between them a secret and i know i know but there's a difference between one person finding out and an entire fraternity.

The difference between Jade and Bella is that Bella wants the world to know that MC is her man. Bella gives no fucks.
You think Bella gives a fuck? She has her dead husband locked up in room beside the bathroom.
Yup so its Leah all over again, she's just playing hard to get this time. Wonder how shit would go down on these forums if Bella stabbed Jill over who gets the MC. :ROFLMAO:

lol ya, I will say it's funny, the song that plays during the Bella scene in MC's room has a chorus that goes something like "gunnin' for #1" and it feels almost like a personal competition for Bella between herself and Jill (and possibly other girls).

The official walkthrough say this much. It's seem like episode 6 is where the Romance can start with both Jill and Bella, interestingly its also can end it for Bella..

for purely economic reasons, I believe that Mc will still be involved in Bella's collapse.

it is a scene that DPC has to create and it will be a scene with a great emotional impact, at which point to exclude it from the game of some players would be "a waste".

I give an example, not what I believe happens, just to make the speech concrete. let's say that Bella's breakdown is linked to her husband's return, directly or indirectly MC will be involved, she could ask for help from him directly Bella (as Sage does with the breakup with Chad) or indirectly, through for example Jill

if DPC has to tell that story he will show it to us, naturally with a different involvement and with different consequences

an accumulation of no sense ...
