Unless you've installed any mods to your game there shouldn't be any issues applying the patch if you downloaded the previous version from here.

if you download the game from here (patreon version) you can download the update. N7 usually comes in with the update patch. I've been downloading the patches since chapter 2 from here. As long as your game isn't modded, you should be fine.
