Speaking of the ending montage, can anybody please enlighten me what the deal is here? I mean it looks like nothing special, but I doubt that Doctor Cake would bother with four renders for absolutely nothing going on.

dude, this is only your first 3 days of talking with her... and it is enough to find what kind of person is she. You only need to listen and open your eyes how the person behave in front of you, in front of others, in working environment, to their siblings and of course you must have some principles and high moral to make the right judgement for yourself.

This game needs a chapter selection where you can choose which options you picked in previous chapters. It took me over 4 hours to skip from the start to the current chapter, and I'll have to do it all over again to get the chik route because I lost my previous saves. Pain in the ass.
I know, Tserriednich'sNen and that's more or less my problem. sorco2003 , I am just confused why Doctor Cake would show us Karen Rebecca's hearing aid for four frames when we already know that she wears one due to feedback noises when Sally shouts at her and / or we have to click it in the HOTs freeroam for the quest pack. My wild guess interpretation is that she somehow now has a luxury version of it with diamonds (?) as she's now getting her uppers from Quinn instead of the pharmacy, but that wouldn't make much sense.

In my interpretation, it is a way of explaining that "true colors", the MC knows the story of KRJ, Sally too, but it shows you how she keeps hiding it from others, covering it with her hair so no one can see it. She is also a character of which we know a lot, even more than any other, in that single talk in the gender studies class, not only we know her full name (how many last names do we know?), her exact age, what she studies, how long she has been studying, what she wants to do, her illnesses... makes her an almost perfect character to include in that final scene ....
So to summarize for you why I don't like her...
You work with her for 2 months, both of you had plenty of opportunities to talk to each other but you don't on other hand she is so easy-going... and drawn people around her..., she sends you nudes before your first date and she tells you that also has a crush on you, drink half of bottle of vodka stolen from her father and blaming it on her brother, become tipsy kissed you, and tell you that she is cheating and she has a relationship, you said to her that it's best to leave the things how it is... she accepts it... and then she calls you on your first day in B&R because she saw an ad on tv, but the real reason behind the call is the waitlist..., after that she invites you to her home and asks you to stay the night with her... I can really give you like 10 pages of Josy's bullshit but I really don't want to
So... Josyfans you will be very disappointed when you truly see her for what she really is... selfish, manupulative, golddigging hoe . If you not see her for what she is you are blind or maybe 12 y.o. or maybe you don't have too much exp with girlfriends/wifes and people in general.
These examples don't even remotely prove your assertion that Josy is selfish, manipulative or a gold-digger. She already comes from a wealthier family than the MC, so saying that she is a gold-digger has no merit. You can keep repeating it, but it won't make it true.
It's also very common for women not to make the first move when getting to know someone. It's, generally, the guy's responsibility to show some interest. That's likely why they never talked much. MC got brave because he was about to leave for college and things go far better than expected. I'm not seeing any malice from Josy here.
The behavior you are seeing here from Josy is very simple. A girl is trying to attract a boy. It's not sinister and there is no conspiracy afoot. She likes MC and she is using feminine allure. That's not a crime. Yes, she was in a relationship with Maya, but she also thought it was ending.
Josy is gregarious, but a little insecure with herself too. She's a regular girl trying to figure out a complicated love situation. She's not the anti-christ.
Sorry, i'm playing version 7.2 from the start in compressed version. Am i the only one who gets a killer crash on the first english minigame, on the first day of lessons?
I was wondering about that myself when doing the DIK path catchup (which I had to start from Hell Week since I somehow managed to lose it and that would have locked me out of the Madame scenes and Jacob's Cathy picture) and the first playthrough of C7 and came to the following result:
Not many. Karen Rebecca Johnson, Mona Davis, Rusty Burgmeister, Jill Royce, Tybalt Burke for students. Staff Cathy Jones, Isabella Roberts, the name of the Economics teacher that I forgot, Jade and Stephen Burke, others Amelia and Lana Royce.

The end monologue is about people hiding their true selves or having the courage to reveal it. This 4 frame shot reveals that KRJ is hiding her hearing aid behind her hair. She still hides herself and is shy, even though she's Queen material.
That's also not a diamond. It's part of her hearing aid. Diamond stud earrings don't go in the middle of the ear.

dude who talks about first move... you work with her for 2 months you are collegues... so she can speak with Steve, you can speak with Tina... but Josy or you never find the time to talk to each other..? So if you work with some girl in supermarket or company and she want to talks to you or you want to talk to her this is equal making moves on each other get real...
How do you think she gets in B&R, she was in conflict with her parents, and she wasn't with the rejects... I think that she take money from Steve's father... but not in form of salaries for the hard work that she is doing... (this is only a theory, there is no evidence of that yet)
The first move that she made after she get in B&R was to pursue Jill, despite the fact that Maya offers her to make the tour for her...
Second was to befriend Lucas from the preps in her economics class, the same class that Jill takes.
Third move was to befriend Sage... Am I only one who see the pattern or... there are someone else
She also has one moment that propose to Maya to move out to the preppy frat, because there was a way to do it... if I'm not mistaken, she got the info from Lucas how to do it, despite the fact that she knows for Maya's situation with her father.

MC was a beta male, who was afraid to talk to her. He even practiced before he spoke to her.
I love when people pay attention to the game and then came out and say how an actual story has to be interpreted, and not the way it was clearly shown.

There is a more simple explanation.
The story needed a start point and that was a good one. The protagonist needed to go from zero to hero, so at the start is a shy guy who is in love with a girl he is afraid to talk to. That way every guy can relate to him (couse most of us went through that at some point) and you also can see his journey from the bottom to the top and feel the exitment of that process. It is a classic.
That's why at the start he is poor, orphan, doesn't have a place to stay, doesn't know anyone, etc. All of that had more to do with the MC rather than with Josy. But as for Josy she is presented as a teen love. That's why the relationship remains platonic until the porn story start. And that's because Josy above else, is an erotic fantasy. And no, sorry, but is not a manipulative bad girl erotic fantasy. It's a cute erotic fantasy. It's written all over her character.
Welcome to the thread btw.

forget it man! i once wrote and essay on how Josy was using her 3 plans of actions!
1st get to B&R and Maya (plan Alpha where she takes control of her life, gets an education and has her bitch Maya to keep her warm at night)
2nd plan was get preggers from a local dude... (plan Beta to find a Beta provider in this case the MC and stay at home with her father and her new child )
3rd plan was to move to the east or west coast (plan cuck move over to a city and live off the cucks and whatever job she could find until she finds a new suitable Beta preferably rich... this is the last because its the less secure one and she gets no family suport or an education)
josy wants more and above all else security and to not suffer emotionally so she needs/wants people who will never leave her and stick around, she has that in Maya and in the MC!
(i got an entire theory on why she became how she is and it heavily involves her parents divorce and her brother "tommy Sauvage"!)
her phone call and the entire dinner date was her enacting her 2nd plan and warning the MC either he takes the bait or she will move on with her 3rd plan!
i got grilled here fanboys will fanboy!
in that same essay i explained how Derek and Maya played the MC to try and trick him into dating Maya to get their father out of Maya´s very sweet and nice ass!
Hey guys, I have an issue updating from v.0.6.1 to 0.7.1 (for macbook) I do all the steps for patching but when I run the game it's still v.0.6.1. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
There's an update from 0.6. to 0.7.2 available in the OP. You can try that. Yes, I know it says it's for Windows, but it can be used for Mac as well as the game files are identical.
When installing an update it is advisable to have a backup of the previous version, in case you do the update wrong.
Yeah, MC was very unconfident , in the beginning. There is a good scene, when MC and Derek break in to the Preps mansion, and they saw Tybalt practicing in front of a mirror, how to spoke to Jill , and Derek pointing out what a loser He is, and MC is : ...... .
so, in some extend it can be said that technically, Josy was "way out of his league" so to speak. MC really needed that couple of life changing week, now he is an Alpha.
