Ahh an optimist! He didn't officially confirmed 20 episode either, so...
Yeah... It's all a matter of perspective really. I've learned to anticipate the future, but mostly enjoy the present, sure you may think about how when you reach 40, she'll be 60 and that might give you some pause, but is that really the most important thing to consider? I personally would think about how I really feel about that person, and if I really do love her, that there might be the chance that I never find someone like that again, and instead of spending 10, 20, 30 years being happy with that person, I'll be looking for another one more "age appropriate" and that person might never really come into my life.20 years of age difference, when you have 20 are many, many
then in the game you don't feel it because if MC is 19 or 25 what does it change? the story you're collecting doesn't have this time horizon for which it could become a problem.
If in the game we were offered $100 right away or a million in 5 years we would take the 100 right away, the future does not interest us.
Hopeful, is a better word . I don't think I will live long enough. even 2030 seems unlikely, but hey in the end of the day it's the journey that matter.Ahh an optimist!
To me it seems interesting, since the fact of choosing which ones to answer and which ones not to answer gives a subtext. It leaves a lot to speculation.20 years of age difference, when you have 20 are many, many

those are all defensive responses, and that's fine, but there is very little of interest there
an author who says he is not influenced in his choices is lying, even if he thinks he is telling the truth
this uncertainty about the number of chapters always leaves me quite baffled, not even on the third season it is certain that there will be 4 chapters...
it is not a subjective issueYeah... It's all a matter of perspective really. on this point according to me the operation is not so successfulI don't know... just some food for thought. And like DPC just said in the Q&A, MC is really several people at once, so I think all possibilites are still in the open, I can totally picture MC being more of a "normal, still trying to figure it out" teenager in some of the endings and a mature adult who knows what he wants in life in others.
I would say that the biggest problem with an eleven year development of an episodic Patreon game is that it would be in danger of loosing it's relevance. It will be interesting to see how many people stay the course if it does go that long.Hopeful, is a better word . I don't think I will live long enough. even 2030 seems unlikely, but hey in the end of the day it's the journey that matter.
But honestly, while , i myself not being a creator in any mean. Episode 8 did felt like halfway. Branching path for the girls, etc.
adding with the fact he already working 3 years now on the same project, and if one episode per year, it could last till 2030. More than 10 years on the same project..... that is too much for anyone.
Well, where the fuck you got this idea in the first place? He didn't say anything that imply one episode per year or,more, He say what he always say. He takes his time, he is not planing to make the update bigger , but it wont stop him if its nessecary. Exactly how he operates now.To my great happiness, I discovered the world of China Mieville and spend all my free time reading her books.
Therefore, DPC has receded into the background
I think I'll cancel my subscription. One update a year is a delusion and a diagnosis. But apparently that's how it's going to be. I hope he doesn't die before he finishes the job.
The fact that he says that he is a creator and does not want to rush so as not to break the narrative is of course correct, but this is getting worse every year. We can reach the point where one update can take even a year and a half, lol. All this will bite him in the ass someday.
I believe, and I hope, that the overall story has never been in question, but many choices are dictated by feelings of the moment, and then also suffer the influence of what you read and ask you, even to give him wrong, but you can not be waterproofTo me it seems interesting, since the fact of choosing which ones to answer and which ones not to answer gives a subtext. And yes, I agree with you that although he says he is not influenced by the feedback, it seems to me that it does influence him in what he does to continue the story. Even so, I believe him that some things are written in stone.... the whole story of Maya and Josy should have been discarded or modified or resolved by now, if he took half the world's complaints.
I think he's betting on new members. The old people will certainly leave, but he has a constant influx of new patrons. Well, the second point - just look at Icstor! He released one small update in a year and a half and he still has 3 thousand patrons! I think DPC is clearly not in danger of outflow. He enjoys incredible support.I would say that the biggest problem with an eleven year development of an episodic Patreon game is that it would be in danger of loosing it's relevance. "relevance". I'm not sure, if something good then it's good. Star Wars did not lost its relevance for 40 years, before Disney came and Fucked it up. I can see, may be some will cancel their constant subscription, and only Pay the 25 bucks , when the actual episode is relased, but financially at this point it does not matter anymore.I would say that the biggest problem with an eleven year development of an episodic Patreon game is that it would be in danger of loosing it's relevance. I agree, but I was saving up for an xbox.I believe, and I hope, that the overall story has never been in question, but many choices are dictated by feelings of the moment, and then also suffer the influence of what you read and ask you, even to give him wrong, but you can not be waterproof
I hold at tento al joy for the announcement of new mini games for the third season, I will postpone the purchase of ps5
Oh totally agree, it's definitely an issue and I'm not trying to argue against that, I just don't see it as being such a huge issue, or even THE issue of Bella's route like some others have said in this thread.it is not a subjective issue
such a large age difference is a problem, this does not mean that it cannot be overcome. it is not a closed door but a problem that in reality would be valid.
very few 20 year olds would give up sex with Bella because of the age difference, but far fewer would think of her for a lasting relationship. Bella herself initially didn't believe it at all and thought it was just sex.
also the social difference between Jill and Mc is a problem, it is objectively, then they can overcome it and live happily ever after
years ago, and not even that many, even being of different ethnicities was a real problem to a relationship
on this point according to me the operation is not so successful
MC is identical to himself, whatever he chooses to do
if he is Chick he would give his money to Maya if he is Dik he would give it to Quinn, same blind and altruistic reaction
It depends on how written the story is imo. As a writer, albeit an amateur one, comments I have received on stories written or mostly written have limited impact on my stories. If there are glaring flaws or plotholes, sure, there needs to be a rewrite, but a difference of opinion about story/character direction, rarely reshapes my stories. Stories that are more open ended and unwritten though - at this stage when people give me feedback, they can drastically shape the way I am going to approach a character, the story, a setting, etc. But it all depends on when, and why I am getting the feedback. This largely applies to other writers I know as well.an author who says he is not influenced in his choices is lying, even if he thinks he is telling the truth
But I never felt a lack of content in the earlier episodes. As a matter of fact, it seemed perfectly balanced and episodes came out in the sweet spot of 3 - 4 months. When it comes to faster releases, you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't. Waiting time and included content goes hand in hand. You cannot expect a short development time without being disappointed by the lack of content, vice versa.
I believe in moving on and evolving when something has played its part, and for this mini-game, its purpose was to restore the mansion - the general theme of Season 2. It won't return in Season 3.
I've been working on new mini-games for Season 3.
who the fuck asked this? One of you raccoons? Now that we are invested in the characters, would you be willing to forgo some of the lewd content to add more depth to the relationships?
Exactly, thank you.I'm adding as many tracks with lyrics as possible, provided they fit. It's tricky because listening to songs with lyrics can make it hard to read the dialogue, so I'm being very careful when I add a song with lyrics to a scene.
Vader: Noooooooooooooo!Do you think Lynette's (MC mother) scenes have lowered the main story's pace and need some action or make these scenes less frequent?
Not at all. I think her scenes serve an excellent purpose of altering the pace or making the episode feel fresh in the middle of it. During Season 2, her diary scenes have been one of my favorite types of scenes to create. Liking this part of the game comes down to personal preference, and I hope that players who play for the story appreciate these scenes as much as I do.
With Acting Lessons, Megan was the glue for the story, and the forced attraction to her was necessary
This is all i needed to read from this Q&A, see you in 2030 with the end of this game...With the game's release in Steam and GOG, the load and stress increased. Will you hire more staff to help work on the game?
This is a popular question, and my answer has been the same from day one, and it won't change. This setup I have right now with being independent is just how I like it.
I am confident I will be making games this way until I stop making games altogether. Expanding is not on the map for me.
Dude, I love DPC as much as you do. He helped me get out of the depression associated with a difficult breakup.Well, where the fuck you got this idea in the first place? While Patreons, don't have good taste, and can ask stupid question, this place has no mach when it's come to making assumption that always negative so they can bitch about something
It's more the math the Season 3 prelude episode messes up the timeline. If it's out next month or later we're only getting one full episode this year. The only thing that would equal two episodes a year is if DPC starts to take less time per episode like early season 1 aka 4 months... DPC takes 6 months per episode so e.g.Well, where the fuck you got this idea in the first place? He didn't say anything that imply one episode per year or,more, He say what he always say.
