The basic systems are alike, but "The Princess of Light" path puts the emphasis
on "Combination" and "The Dark Regency" path "Strength of Individuals", so that
you can enjoy one more fresh play-through after clearing a path.

Other notes: After the first chapter, you can choose what class your character will start at. Most classes can be chosen, such as Cavalier, Mage, Knight, etc, along with other customizable options. Mounted units, like Cavaliers, have the FE9,10 and Three Houses version of Canto (can use its remaining movements to move again after attacking or using an action).
