Now this is exactly what a true VN should be, an interesting story, good characters, good renders, and you the player get to make choices, Let's hope it stays this way and does not force you into NTR, Sharing, Corruption, Blackmail, sexual kinks/fetishes and an all-out "fuck-Fest", I'm glad the dev/creator understands the original meaning/concept of a VN, Too many dev's/creators lose sight of this and end up creating porn games just to satisfy those who do not understand what a VN should be, I hope we see more choices in future updates, Keep up the good work and stay true to VN's original meaning and concept

I see a lot of talk about the remake and the original and I have mixed feelings about the whole thing because there are things I like and things I dislike about it for example
Things that I liked:
-The renders in the remake look absolute amazing better than ever
-I liked the extra scenes in chapter 2 and how much the dev expanded on some of the plot points from the original
-Some girls look better in the remake like Jasmine and her caretaker.
-I enjoyed the introduction of Sams mom
- Writing seems to have less mistakes and better

Now for things I disliked about the remake:
-Sam scenes where removed not because of the sex I could give less of a flying fuck about it but more so that I would had loved to see them incorporated in to the story in a way that made better sense than in the original then just straight up being removed
-Some models look worse maybe its personal opinion but I liked Sarahs old model much more than the new one but that's maybe just me, I also prefer Olivias old model much more than the new one and I still don't know if I like or dislike Sams new model still figuring it out she looks better but also worse idk how to describe it lol
- One of the biggest things I dint like its how little progress with any of the LI there has been in the two remake chapters it feels almost like the MC is a stranger to most of them at this point and how little we know of anybody other than Olivia and the MC family.

As for things I am Neutral on are:
- The plot feels like its going in a different direction than the original while the original was about the mom and the journey of the MC problems in the remake things look more hopeful for the mom and now we got some sort of mystery plot with the stalker, that one LI that is following MC and looking for things about his dad. I put this one in neutral because we need to see more of where the story is headed in the remake to judge it so until the I cant say if this was good or bad so I'm putting it in neutral atm.
- Sam in general I'm putting her in neutral as well because depending on if you liked her or not you going to feel a certain way about the remake for example for the Sam lovers this remake definitely made her much less close to MC than the original I personally was a bit disappointed since I really like Sam but on the other hand if you don't like her well this change might be better for those people since she feels less attached.

Overall I think that things aren't fully black or white and that a lot of positives came with the remake of course that also comes with some new flaws with some changes in the remake of the game.
I personally just want to see chapter 3 and more new content in the game as much as I like the renders and models in the remake I really just want to see new stuff and for the story to move on feel like its been ages since we been stuck in chapter 1 and 2 I think more than anything most of the fans just want the dev to move on from remaking the game and start working on chapter 3.

mom's got cancer, personal struggles, interpersonal struggles with friends and family and so on. It's not a feel-good game. Also lotta complaints about the rework but I'm not gotta get into that, plenty of it here already in case you read back a bit.

It could be worse. I know some games that have had six updates, and you have no idea what the story is about

But it had a random BJ in it that made no sense, so nobody complained

And I can't even mention it as an example because my comment will be deleted

With all due respect, it sounds like you're not complaining about the story, you're just complaining about the lack of sex

Oh and sometimes a prologue can take a little longer if you have a lot of things to set up

So it doesn't feel like people resolve differences really quick

Or things that appear in the story later on don't feel like they came out of nowhere

Like sex scenes never mattered to me as I skip them most of the time but when I play this one I get it there's a conflict between siblings and a family issue is going on but i just couldn't connect with mother character as i want to as much as I want to connect with sister. I believe there should've been more backstory between their bond as a family and to make players invest in them emotionally otherwise yeah they'll want them as a Li.

I've to name this game radiant which is obviously a incest game and I used to play it from the first release but after they show their mother's letter I just dropped that game cause i couldn't continue play that game cause I was emotionally connected with it.

You can be protective about this dev cause he'll surely be in depression but so was ocean who lives on criticism.

Edit: my personal opinion he just needs better dialogue writing and plot development yeah he's fixated on the main story yet he changed many aspects after rework that people actually liked (I was only looking forward to see Samantha and MC cause i liked her a lot as a gf she gave a lot of depth to MC)

I can't say if this was better before rework, as I discovered this game when it was released the reworked chapter 1, but I like what we currently have my only criticism is that I think the LIs in general need more development as some still feel strangers to the MC but I imagine this is going to happen in future chapters.

I don't really know, I guess I'm willing to wait for more episodes to see

Like I said, it's just episode 2, and I'm sure it'll get better for you

And I really, really like the episode, it was good for me

It's not like Samantha has been removed as a love interest

She just is not a forced love interest

the only difference is that you have to build your relationship with her from scratch instead of it being forced on you

It's funny, because Vidal was one of the guys who didn't like that Sam was the forced MC's gf from the start. Among the many people who didn't like this either. Well, Vidal is monogamous, so it's a problem for him if he doesn't like Sam.

I, on the other hand, was a little skeptical about Sam's role in the old version, but for a different reason. Sam was just too perfect, in my opinion. Even though she was meant to be some kind of friend with a benefit, she was definitely a wife material. Loving, caring, sexy, empathetic, always there for the MC. And I just don't understand from the MC's perspective why he would want to dump her unless she did something really fucked up. So it felt like the other LIs started at a huge handicap compared to Sam, and in my opinion, that was bad for the game. I liked her very much but it looked like Sam's personal show.

So what should the developer have done to make us all happy despite the opposing views?

Now everyone can get what they want, Martin is clearly pushing the MC towards a relationship with Sam, and I believe that such an opportunity will soon appear in the game. And I am much more interested in Susan, so I think I will tell Martin to hold his horses and take care of his personal life

I almost want to say the better solution with Sam would of been give the player a choice start with a girlfriend or not and the girlfriend route her scenes aren't removed but then that might cause more branching and require to many extra renders and make deveolopment even longer

Can't say that I've seen "complaining about complaints" work too well in the past but let's see where it goes. For the most part a "rework" doesn't usually go to the point of excising major portions of the narrative with a machete.

58 is kind of a big number to use for the statement, I've myself seen exactly two posts about it, both going into precise detail as to what the reader felt the issues were. I sure didn't see "bad update is bad" 58 times.
