Is ntr avoidable in this game ?
That question is as old as the one if there is any NTR in the game in the first place.
Max gets some ideas when watching others, so if that's NTR for you, then no. But apart from a few scenes you can pretty much ignore that Eric is in the house and if you pay attention, he won't even catch you and your aut. However I don't know if that's important for the story progress.

“It took a lot of time to implement”
Which idiot patron made this feature request? Why waste time on something so superficial and unnecessary?
Obv a high paying one , those are usually the tards that feel entitled to ask for stupid features. Check Glamour and you will see a whole world of stupidity.

Probably someone that paid a lot of money.
In the past there was several people in several games that wasted more than $1000 for something they wanted.

Indeed , i mean i dont care how much and or for what people spend money , but isnt the story and more scenes more important than a simple change of clothes that adds nothing new? i mean if they want to fap at lisa why even want her to have clothes am i right?

Well people are paying more money for even crazier things.
You will find plenty of examples -some guy/girl gives $10 000/$100 000 to appear for some seconds in a movie.

If you go by some of the things he said in his post and on discord, the so called idiot is the creator himself. He thought the situation that max never stumbles upon lisa changing clothes except in the morning makes no sense and he wanted to fix that. Unfortunately he underestimated the amount of work needed for that fix

Good games often have small features or things that players don't necessarily think about.
Recently saw a post somewhere that was a game dev talking about how they slightly altered the way the money displays in the top of the screen (Or something similar, barely remember it) and that it's something the player would never notice either way. But you add all of those little features and additions together, and it becomes a good game.
Would you rather him pump out updates every week with no attention to detail and then the game's abandoned within a year bc all of the player base got bored?

Yeah sure , here people dont want more scenes and story development , we want fashion parades and color customization !
Dude small things can be done post completion of story , this story is already old and well know since BB, so now we need story development.
And to point out the fact you are wrong , you say people are bored and abandon a game because it lacks small details (aka clothes customisation here?) but i need to remind you we talk about BB that even after being abandoned BY DEV and not the communitty its still played and appreciated.
The 1000$ question is , WHO GOT BORED BY THE LACK OF RESKINNING ON CLOTHES?

A clothing system that literally nobody cares about for one character is not one of those little additions that contribute towards making the game good. In contrast, I fully supported him spending time on improving the opportunities system, since that significantly improved playability. This bullshit cosmetics change, on the other hand, is now the reason why he’s spending a whole extra week on bug fixes since apparently it broke the game. Overengineered software and feature creep contributes more towards a game getting abandoned by its developer than a player base getting bored because of “lack of attention to detail” as you proposed.

Yeah I used a similar clothing system for part of my mod and it's a pain the ass to do. It requires extra render time without adding any real extra content. It also requires extra code to track which outfit is being worn and thus which image link to use for every individual frame you're displaying. It's more trouble than it's worth IMO. Having a variety of outfits is fine, but IMO as a dev you are better off picking a single outfit for each scene and sticking with it. You can use a different one for each scene if you want without wasting time or effort. Just don't use multiple outfits for the exact same scene.

The only exception I can really think of is if you're using a style where you render the clothing separately from the characters and the backgrounds and in a fairly minimum number of poses. The problem with doing it that way is it's pretty obvious and it doesn't look very good so you're not wasting as much time but you're making significant image quality sacrifices. Flash games like Simbro did it that way.
