Oh my god... You fucking nailed it man! I experienced the same as OP, playing and... Dick just going limp, in between the painful grind and the lack of any "traditional" i.e. realistic interactions, everyone being an insufferable cunt to MC and the MC being the most insufferablest of cunts, and the sheer number of interactions that did less than nothing for me. There's a lot of AVNs that are kind of like that, and I usually chalk it up to that they're often written by more nerdy guys whose talents are more in programming or art, rather than actual, "red pilled", first hand knowledge about the topics at hand. I guess this is why people like Akabur so much: Most of what he writes about is still over the top fantasy, but he obviously has a firm handle on the actual subject matter. Guy is experienced, yo.
Another thing about AVNs with "weird, does nothing to my dick" things going on, is that they plain try to cater to specific fetishes that either they themselves don't share but try to include for the sake of sales, (gratuitous foot stuff shows up in a lot of games) or at least, I don't share them and I'm just like. eh ok w/e man, there's more scenes, click and forget. Like the raging cuckold fetishism that is going on, or the weird interpretation of femdom (mom spanking and such) that is going on. Like: Why would anyone think its "hot" for the son to watch his mother (that he's lusting after) to get plowed by some douchebag? Even worse you actually have to watch it to make money! I can't imagine anyone wanting that, it's literally the game cucking the player, but it's the internet and people have weird fetishes.
But in this case: I think you are dead on. All the hints, all the offputting / off / plain wrong stuff plays nicely together, the game's made by a (closeted) homosexual who didn't grow up with actual sisters and has zero experience with the core topic his game is about. The writer should just make a gay game about seducing his beloved Eric and replace the sisters with some brothers that you can peep on showering and jerking off, and not bother pretending to make a game for heteros.

Don't know if someone already commented this, but on top of hating the NTR, I also don't like how he uses Cams to make money, we need a different option there. (I don't know if there is later on, I stopped playing quite early). It is a real shame because the art is really nice.

For example .... how much advertising is enough and how much is not enough? How much you earn poolside when girls start tanning topless (because you dont get money in 0.5 from alice from smoking - bugged - is it more then 100 per week or not?/. Will spanking during punishment bring you more? Will BJ from Alice when she comes drunk from party bring more cash in bathroom area or not ... like there is lot of unknown in cams earning.

Tell you what grinds my my gears in this game and games like it, inconsistency. Character is okay taking a shower with you but you walk in on her getting dressed and she is angry. Makes TOTAL sense.

I see these sort of inconsistencies in these games all the time. They put levels of progression in their games and don't follow through with it 100 percent. They just change the level you are on and leave all the old shit in there like the angry Lisa which is leads to these problems. Doesn't take that much code or dialogue to address the problems, but these guys are just lazy.
Something like
$lisamaxnudity = True /Which would mean that she is okay being naked around him now.
Max walks in on his Lisa getting dressed.
If lisamaxnudity = True
Lisa "Hey Max"
Else
Lisa "What hell Max get out!"
goto Exit
Instead they half ass it and you get stuff that doesn't make much sense or isn't explained in dialogue. Even if the character is okay being naked in front of them during showers but not while getting dressed have her say it.

Max "But mom I've seen you naked already during the massages."
Mom "This is different honey. I like to have alone time in the mornings."

Inconsistency in this game I believe derives not from the characters acting consistently in your presence (which they don't, and I agree with you by the way) but from what I feel is the creator's general lack planning the story out.
When Dark Silver started this game I think he did it with a general idea of what the story is and where it was going (a general incest/dating sim) he made some renders, programmed a prologue and a few events, but that's it. With this latest update I think it's clear that his planning has never gotten past that stage.
Many games on this site have very clear planning for their game's overall story clearly apparent even in the earlier versions. Games such as Snow Daze, Summertime Saga, Dreams of Desire, and Dating My Daughter just to name a few, this game however clearly doesn't.
Every update since is just him adding a few events with almost no clear progress to any of the story elements. Everything that is story related after his initial version has been incredibly shallow and weakly written. His grasp of his own characters seems to be so inconsistent that I would claim that they all act out of character if they had a character I could point to as a baseline. Characters consistently act on opposite extremes, for example Lisa acts like a shy virgin, then an almost exhibitionist slut, then a virgin again within the same quest line.
The mother's kidnapping and raping happened when she was a teenager and has almost no bearing on the story other than for the fact it makes it easy for Eric to control her. That event could have easily been woven into her character so when it was revealed you could say 'Oh, now I get it.'.
For instance she could be incredibly overprotective not wanting her children out of her sight, not wanting them dating or going out late because she knows it's not 'safe'. Alice being the oldest rebels against it, sneaking out, smoking, and going to parties. Lisa wanting to be a good girl heeds her mothers advice and guidance, so she's shy, studious, and obedient. Kira the aunt, sees how overprotective the mother is and tries to be a source of escape and fun for the children, offering advice and guidance to the kids and taking on the role of a fun 'big sister' for them. Max caught in the middle of his two sisters tries to take on the role of the proverbial 'Man', he tries to take responsibility and guide his family the way he feels a man should, becoming the de-facto husband/father/BIG BROTHER.
Instead what we get are inconsistent bipolar characters, story development that peters off after the prologue, a rival that makes us look like a loser who turns our family against us almost effortlessly (and gets way, way more sex than us), relationships that feel gross and unnatural even in a incest game, and a creator that gets way, way too much money for as far as I can figure being able to make pretty renders.
Yet everyone (even me) keeps playing every update just to see the new pretty pictures. While as for myself (and maybe many others), getting more turned off by the content, becoming more disgusted by the main character, shaking my head at the new vile way the game makes me feels like a shithead, wondering why this game gets worse every update, and getting 'cucked' even more than I was in the last update.
This game by definition is a 'Hot Mess'.

Wow. When I first started playing this kind of games, I always thought that games like these had garbage personalities, this one for example. The thing is, after seeing how popular they where, I thought that maybe the problem was that the public of these games was that rotten too.
Im glad to see that's not the case. As I'm not alone thinking that MC is such a fucking disgrace as a human being, I've recovered my hope back.

The lighting has always been a little off in certain rooms and it almost looks like he has the people set to plastic shaders instead of skin.
In the worse picture on the right it almost looks like he used some sort of smoothing anti-noise filter. My guess would be that he or whoever rendered the pictures at a lower quality which has a lot of noise then tried to smooth it out.
Either that or he didn't set the depth of field right on the camera.

There are plenty of games where you can play horrible, horrible people if you want. And this is a good thing, you don't need to be the hero in every game in existence, games are for enabling fantasies and there should be games were you just play a bad guy. And many more games simply allow you to abuse game mechanics to be cruel to innocent NPCs, typically without any consequences.
The problem in this "story driven game" is that the morality of actions are not acknowledged, the entire family treats you either like an asshole or a sex toy from the start, and your horrible decisions receive no further consequence beyond the sex scenes, barring any alternative to get to said sex scenes. This is because the writer of the game cannot envision any other way to get to the desired point. This is called hack writing - You are at point A in the story, and you envision a desired destination B, and so you simply contrive something ridiculous - the hack - to get from A to B, without regard for what this actually means for the world and the characters. Of course none of the characters behaved believably from the start, so it's a moot point, and underlines the whole game merely exists to give some renders of nude girls a context.
