Y'all think about some "original BB game", but this is not "original BB", it's a new game made by new author, so let him decide. There're plenty of opportunities to make a good game without Eric being mentioned even once, you know. The original was just some NTR fest from the beginning, but there're very few real fans of stuff like that.
For me, there should be a route with NTR and one without NTR. That way, both sides are happy and we can finally stop seeing the same old argument.

Eric is the soul of this game. He's absolutely essential, no cap.

I remember my first playthrough of vanilla BB, going in blind with no walkthroughs. I literally couldn't beat Eric in time. That's what made me desperately scour the internet for guides just to find a way to deal with him.

Tbh, without Eric, BB would just be another mediocre RPG/VN on the long list of games I've played and forgotten. It wouldn't stand out at all.

Even in other BB-based games/mods where they make Eric a total pushover, I find them boring af. The gameplay loop is just... plant some cams, wait for your bank account to go up, buy stuff, and then just repeat the same interactions with the girls day in and day out to progress the story... it's a total snooze-fest.

You can cut a lot of the NTR content, but you HAVE to have Eric. For example, make it a "game over" if you don't defeat him. Of course, that's a bit too harsh. Maybe you could give Eric a schedule, and if you don't hit certain objectives by a specific time, he'll NTR certain girls—I think that was the original design.

But I gotta say, even in the vanilla game, after I finally kicked Eric out, I felt this huge void. I guess that's just what BB is. Eric is to this game what Iudex Gundyr is to Dark Souls 3—a tough-as-nails boss, but the satisfaction you get from finally beating him after all that struggle is just IMMENSE.

I’d rather recommend keeping Eric in there like in the vanilla BB, then split the story into several chapters. Every chapter would have a boss-type dude like Eric trying to corrupt the girls, with different targets each time—say, the male classmate Lisa mentioned at the start, or the bar owner Alice knows. They’d fit in super naturally as main villains. So the whole game turns into: beat the enemy or get NTR’d. Kinda hype just thinking about it.
I have no problem with Eric being in the game as an antagonist. That's fine.

The problem I have in the original game by DarkSilver is that the player, as Max, is legitimately still struggling to do anything once Eric begins playing a role, unless the player is extremely lucky. There's constant replays of scenes and days just so Max can get the stats required by constantly peeking or persuading the girls throughout the early game. And once you get the massage and kissing skills the same rules apply. Once Eric starts being a nuisance past Week 2, you're balancing keeping his influence down on Lisa and Alice (much easier with Lisa than Alice, Eric won't do anything really with Lisa until you really get into the Mentor opportunity) while also still building Max's stats. It's really annoying, and grindy as all hell. It's not fun.

There's also the finicky point of no return where once you have $2000 dollars on hand, Eric accuses you of stealing his wallet, and at that point you are constantly on a time limit, needing to keep paying Eric off to extend the time limit another week. It's admittedly fun at that point, but if you're caught of guard by the change up then you can get a game over very quickly.

I like some of these ideas you've presented here. There's no need to remove Eric as an antagonist, but ultimately the desision is up to the creator.

True, just sharing my thoughts on BB. I mean, I've literally never seen a game like BB get remade this many times, so there's gotta be a reason for that
How this "new" BB game ends up is totally on the author's vision.

Fully agree. Lowering the difficulty and cutting down on the grind is def necessary.

A lot of later remakes came up with tons of ways to achieve this, like getting loans from the cyberbank, giving more free starting cams, adding hints for in-house interactions during the current time slot, or even just straight up cutting all the unnecessary fluff and only letting you do limited stuff per time slot...

IMO, all these are great ideas to borrow from

Because I'm more comfortable with Unity.
Eric, Eric... I still don't know how to implement him. It will depend on the feedback.
you want feedback? release the game at least after you reach the original content story.
I appreciate your work, but because this game based on another game that have so much advanced story line, yours's either will be another "abandon" or take years to update. and trust me, it suck

And the original creator did create that path. so it's nothing new. Again, i see same pattern with every single creator that try to "create" their own version of BB, and want to know what that is? ABANDON. not believe me? try to search and you'll see there is less than 3 games with same titles that have it's own storyline.

There are a ton of "not another one" sorts of comments, and that's understandable given all of the clones that have been started and abandoned long before they progressed past the original. But even at version 0.3, this one already has a decent amount of new content and new storylines that never appeared in the original or any of the clones. I feel like this one is split 50-50 between refreshing old material and introducing brand new content. It's a good mix, in my opinion.

I suspect all the folks who are hating on this game haven't actually tried it. Again, that's understandable given all the clones. And for folks that never liked the original or are tired of anything resembling it, this game is probably not for you. But if you liked the original and are open to the idea of a good reboot -- THIS is a good reboot. This is not like the others. This one has a decent shot of being great. At least so far. We'll see.......

i do love the original game, even sometime still play the game. All this game do until this point is peeking and that's all. so if you compare it to the original, well let people judge. My point is try to release something with "decent" story line.

BBU v0.4 - Changelog

Hello everyone, here are the highlights for v0.4!
Lisa

⚠ Spoilers ahead!
In the previous version, you started getting closer to Olivia to help Lisa possibly go out with Alex. But you’re not the sharing type… so you’ll keep sabotaging that plan while still holding on to Olivia. And this time, you can finally say goodbye to Alex!

✨ The homework event has been expanded:

Earn favors with Lisa and exchange them for special rewards.

More rewards will come as your relationship with her deepens.

Or… make mistakes on purpose and watch Lisa get a good spanking.

Plus, you can now watch her sleeping in the morning…

Alice

It’s time to push her OnlyFans content further! But since Alice is too stingy to pay for photoshoots, maybe it’s time you learn to take pictures yourself. A perfect excuse to get closer to Hailey—a possible future romance.
Billie

You’re still working on becoming a true masturbation pro before going further with Billie… but that doesn’t stop you from seeing her and joining in on her naughty little games.
Jobs

Two new opportunities await:

Massage: Develop your skills and step up to the next level with 4 new clients.

Photography: Become a photographer with 2 clients ready to expand their portfolios.

Both jobs will also lead to special events in future updates.
‍ Kira

Kira won’t appear in this update, but the stage is set for her big arrival. She’ll play a major role in evolving the household’s relationships in the next release!
