There was so much work to be done for this game, but there weren't any important content updates or fixes for game-breaking glitches. And It's been more than 2 years of development.
It feels like version 7b stands for 7% game completion. (Yes, the game gonna need next 93 updates at least, I felt)
That being said, this game might be playable in the next decade.
I am interested in seeing the actual roadmap for the development plan if it's not 7% completion.
Well I'm just one person, not a whole game development team making a triple A game.
There's only so much I'll ever be able to make the game be.
In the first year I had a full time job, then replaced that with a part time job, and then 8 months ago went back to a fulltime job, that finally finished at the start of this december.
Since then I've managed to work on this game everyday like never before.
Over the 2~3 months since the last build, while I still had a job, I very slowly added the saving and loading,
and then the remaining 90% of this build was made in the first 2 weeks of december.
Quite a progress speed upgrade.
I don't think the game is still that early actually,
I've now added most of the core base features, and most the city map.
what's remaining mostly is just the missions, which fundamentally are just dialogue, some goals and unique npc's.
I can consider the game practically done once:
-I've added all the main plot missions and some side-misisons,
-completed the few core features still missing (like the remaining level up perks, and then some open-world specific features, like basic construction)
-add the open world (already created world generation before, it won't be that complex to finalize)
Well it's a porn game, what matters is the porn indeed,
The sex part of the game is practically already complete.
with the adjustments of the latest build, you can have 1- casual sex / 2- pay for sex / 3- get paied for sex / 4- force sex.
And there's some gameplay to it, casual sex is only possible when you've already increased your relationship a bit,
forced sex will lower the relationship and cause a fight if the relationship is already too low,
paying for sex makes you need to have money first,
and getting paied for sex makes you need to be dressed sexy and sometimes even requiring to fit the npc's fetishes.
That's the main "sex gameplay" of the game.
In the open world we'll be able to manage other NPC's and assign them to things, but the general sex gameplay will be what's already in this build.
I can improve it even more in the future, but I already consider it done by now.
The sex animations aren't anything impressive, but they get the job done, I've animated them myself, there's only so good they can ever get. I dont think they look very bad too.
Personally a lot of things don't need to be "realistic", I like the idea of the game being kinda "goofy".
But I will definitly have to make a better driving system, especially for the open world, where we'll need to drive alot and drive well.
but it's not important before the open world is added.
The game might feel more incomplete now, but that's just because it's missing the missions.
for example the "hard mode/start in prison", that mode is just some missions I have to add, and then it's complete.
After you complete hard mode, the story progresses into the "medium mode"
Selecting the medium mode at the start is essentially just skipping the prison missions.
Medium mode is fundamentally also just some missions until you'll unlock the (not yet added) open world.
in the new game screen, you'll even be able to select the "easy mode" which is also just a skip of the medium missions to unlock the open world right away.
I understand some gamedev's might purposefully delay development of their games, so they can earn the most as possible.
But I will never do that, I want to finish this game, so I can work on the next one.
I have an interesting idea for another game, but I will not start it until this one is practically done. It'd be confusing to work on 2 diferent projects at the same time.
That said, I will put care into this game, I like this game, I've had this "world" in my head for almost 2 decades, since before I even knew how to create things, and only 2 years ago I finally started making it exist.
