VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Bitch Squad [v0.4.7] [IcarusLabs]

This is an underrated game. The story is good and the author tries some unique things, such as two really fun strip games. The author is also clearly working hard on the development and moving things forward with a variety of interesting characters.

I hate giving games too low ratings, but I can't resist. It looks like a fantasy of an outcast schoolboy, on the topic "how to become an avenger for dummies." This game tries to cover the theme of bullying, but fails completely.

Firstly, the subject of bullying is quite complex, unless you have been a victim, in my opinion. Coming up with a good plot, or at least a theme where the protagonist would really suffer, isn't easy. There is no such theme in this game. The main character began to bully because of such a trifle? In what fucking universe is a guy going to be bullied for a leaked photo?

Secondly, I didn't see any direct bullying from the bitch squad in the intro, not counting the prank. All the protagonist's whining about how terrible and evil they are stops at the fact that we are not even shown this. None of them did anything directly to him. So why all the reviewers want girls to go to hell is a huge mystery to me. But the actions of the mc, who decides to take revenge (apparently because of his small wounded ego) and prevent the girls from getting into college and pay for it with another portion of well-deserved humiliation, are obvious and ridiculous.

And thirdly, this is of course the fact that the life of mc changed 180 degrees after entering college. On the very first day, he found a wonderful girl who sends him nudes, builds relationships with one of the girls from the bitch squad (oh, how convenient) and his sister, who ignored him for a whole year, is moving closer, realizing that she was wrong. I understand that the author wants to turn mc from a loser into an alpha male, but can you slow down a little with this?

This is a great novel if you feel bullied at school and want to get back at someone who didn't really do anything wrong. I recommend the developer to seriously reconsider the plot. My face hurt from the facepalms while I was playing. However, I will most likely continue to play, to make the main character a complete sociopath who ruins the lives of others, and see how it all ends, in the end this is one of the options, isn't it? And I don't see him as a good guy who deserves something positive in the end at all.

This is not a game I would typically play, that being said I have become engaged with it and wanna see where things go. Personally I like sandbox games and feel like they allow the player to experience more of a pick your own story. With this game I felt like the decisions took a while to get too and they didn't quite fulfill what I wanted out of them. A lot of the time the decisions seemed to lead down the same path or if there was a difference it was very indistinguishable, the worst part came when the decision was rough and led to two different scenes (i hate missed content as i dont do many replays of games). That being said this game does excel in an interesting story, while the MC can be frustrating at times especially with how his decisions wouldn't mirror my own (ergo my like for sandbox over strict VN) I did find some of his choices realistic. I had to almost step back and act as if my choices were secondary to how the story is presented.

Overall a good game and defintely one I will be looking forward to more updates of.

i prefer RPGM or sandbox games to VN's, as those offer more engagement or game play. i get bored easily just reading through stuff. there are exceptions though, VN's or KN's that manage to captivate you into their story, characters and dialogs. this is certainly one of them. it has an interesting, intriguing, meandering story that always makes you wonder where it will go. it has very hot female characters (and sarah is one of the cutest girls in the history of adult games), it has belieavable (youth jargon very well implemented) and often hilarious dialogs. 18+ scenes keep escalating in frequency and intensity the more you progress into the story. choices matter to some extent. just save before a choice that may keep you out of a scene and see them all. all in all a great VN that deserves your time and support.

PS: multi-mod and UI-mod help a lot. fonts were too tiny by default.

I will be honest if you looking for a quick fap, maybe this game is not for you, but that doesn't mean its bad its just different than your usual VN game. Its been a while since I just focus more on the story than the 18+ scene. The whole story of the game got me hock and wish for more, because its different, if I had to choose what's the negative part of the game is that the beginning part is a bit long, with not much choices and there are some scene I wish I have control over to do it or not, but because the game is still in its early phase I think I can give it a pass. Overall while the game is not perfect its good enough to warrant a try. Wishing nothing but the best for the future of this game and its Devs. I will certainly awaits for this game future updates

I fucking love this game. Well done models, an interesting story and made me laugh my ass off at times. Well done to the developer, I am gonna support them if they keep up regular updates. I follow almost every novel here (I know I need a lifef) and this is honestly one of the best so far. Only thing I am hoping for is a harem tag.

Slow in the beginning, but the story and characters are surprisingly are captivating enough to follow. At some point even there is a certain attachment towards the main antagonists of the plot, and bit complicated view on the main protagonist. Honestly, just a very human. Gets much better after the tons of dialogue in the beginning, where the progression makes it so worth and rewarding at the end. Although, i did skipped some dialogue before the story I thought was engaging enough. I think it is worth the time and effort.

The game briefly tells the story of a classic loser.
There are some contradictions in the story.
Mc pretends not to be betrayed by his sister.
No matter how much the player rejects him, he has to go skiing with her.
Even though Emma is one of the main enemies appearing in the game, the MC inexplicably continues to fall into sex traps.
...
The language used in the game is understandable, I had no difficulty in understanding it.
Mc hairstyle is really bad.
Most of the girls in the game actually use the same body model, only the scales are different.
It would not be wrong to say the same for face models.
Animations in the game are really bad.
Facial expressions can sometimes seem intimidating.
It's really annoying that some sex scenes are mandatory.
The choices don't really seem to matter, except for a few important things.
The image quality of the game is above average.

So here are my thoughts on th Bitch Squad after spending a couple hours with it.

Pros:
- It has an actual story and keeps an air of mystery as to what's really going on
- The writing is decent, not great, not bad but decent and importantly believable without too much of a strecth
- characters are unique and have some personality

Cons:
- There needs to be an option to change the font size, I see no reason why I need to be squinting to read font that tiny
- images are very grainy and of mediocre quality at best
- animations are very stiff and lacking in realistic movement, objects just kind of snap between fixed positions
- the main character looks like he fell face first out of the ugly tree

Overall:
I'd say this is 3 stars quality, if you can read the tiny font and can deal with the low quality renders the story seems interesting enough but I can't rate this any higher

Very invested in the story.

I like that the bitch squad girls are nuanced and not all just pure evil.
I also like that the "good" guys are also not so good.

Pretty interested to see where the story goes.

Girls are pretty sexy.
Renders are decent.
Animation needs some work.

Despite the shortcoming of the animation, the story is so strong, that I still give it 5 stars.

Four stars for now, maybe five in the future.
The whole game shows a lot of effort on the part of the writers, a lot of narrative and animation.
But there is one extremely serious problem that is almost taboo in pornographic games:The character models are very rigid and stiff , especially in the sex scenes.
Hopefully the author will solve this problem in the future. Because I don't pay much attention to the text, the problem with the character graphics really affected my play.

Let's point out why we are here. We are into AVNs because we are not after a quick and ephemeral fap. You do want to have an engaging plot to carry on the deal, specially when your visual candy, the renders, are not superb that will make the average reader oblivious to the other shortcomings that are the solid foundation of an AVN. Suffice to say, the renders and lewd animations were not what kept me going to see the end of this work. If anything, some animations (specially when some girls get naked) are presented in a such way during the transition of slides that you can freak out. So if you are here for a QUICK FAP, then the material is far from enjoyable. Hence the million dollar question: What kept me going? Well, basically the whole theme of this game just revolves around

A very good VN for people who like a little bit of story with their porn.

The game takes a minute to get going and there is an annoying card minigame that is thankfully skippable but other than that this is one of the better games on the platform.

If I could make a suggestion to the dev: a little BGM would go a long way. even if it's just something subtle in the background.

Top notch concept.
Interesting Female NPCs with depth.

Can do better:
- A bit foolish MC though that makes him slightly less relatable to.
- Foreplay/Buildup seems rushed.
- MC's actions a tad inconsistent at times.
These break immersion sometimes.

Overall:
- It's off to great start and had tremendous potential.

Exceptional dialogue with humor added here and there, very well written characters (and MC) and an original story.

The models look very good too and unique in their looks, not copies of each other.

good:
- the female models look good and have a nice variety

bad:
- the renders are average at best, some are grainy
- some of the facial expressions of the characters are horrible
- typically the MC looks terrible
- the MC is stupid as a rock, it feels like he either has a stroke or is just thinking with his dick
- the theme chosen for the story is a difficult topic and the writing doesn’t do it justice, the writing tries to be funny and lighthearted but that doesn’t work with this kind of story
- not enough choices
- the MC is a looser but because of porn logic finds a girlfriend on day one at college and she sends him nudes after a day
- the sex scene with the store clerk, stupid porn logic
- minigames
- girls talk about their previous experiences

The writing so far makes it clear that the goal of the game is to forgive and forget what happened and I’m not interested in that. The only way this game should go is by putting the Bitch Squad through hell, mentally and physically.

Now that I can finally leave a rating I'd like to say it's only v0.1.6 at the time of this rating and this for me is already one of the better written revenge VN's I've come across so far, and we're still at the build up part of the story. Character models for the girls are great and the sex animations too. There are mini games but dev has made them skippable.

Pros: The variety of the models.

Cons:
I just couldn't get into Bitch Squad or take it serious. You would think these 5 bitches are supervillians the way they're written. They're like 5 freaking Lex Luthors, causing chaos, manipulating adults, it was absurd. Worse part about bullying games is that a lot of this stuff gets piled on to the point where you just wanna skip to the part where the MC is finally triumphant, unfortunately you'll have to wait and continue to endure humiliation. So if this is your thing or let me rephrase that, if you have the patience this could be fruitful for you. Me... I was ready to slap the MC, he was one of the worst parts of the game. I wasn't some ultra Chad in high school but I also wasn't a pussy either and knew when to stand up for myself. Between him, Tommy and Amber I got depressed. Hiding in bushes, public humiliations, it was too much.

i really enjoy playing through this so far. It's been awhile since i played a revenge game but so far it's going good. The writing is pretty. The art is great but could use alittle touch up but that's about it. But for now i will be waiting for the next update. Keep up the nice work i'm looking forward too it.
