Well that was an intense finale

and utterly devastating, didn't even realize what really happened till I looked at the wiki explanation. Truly heartbroken ending :(

actually broke down and cried for a bit...

The only good ending is living in madness.

Considering Grimm got all the pieces of power to finally challenge the Outer Ones. Nah BS3 should be about figthing back with a decent chance. If Grimm gets a new vessel as Yog promised.
RDH also might give a glimmer of hope depending on how the story goes.

(big sad spoilers)

Yeah but..... RH is Dead dead.......... So is like everyone from BS1, but something something fairy tales can't really die. And Grimm still seemed powerless (for the moment yeah) and there is still a lot of stuff going on outside wonderland, and I kinda suspect outer ones dont really die, just the vessels? I think Dead Red is a prequel to BS2 isent it? I mean even then there's prolly a hell of a lot of lore in it.

In this series, do people die for good when they are killed?
I've always assumed that the person controlling the story could just remake people if they wanted, since BS2 has a few people that died in BS1.

There are in-universe loop mechanics so anyone that dies within a loop, comes back next loop if there is one. In bs 1, mary sue just resets the story. In bs 2 that role falls to GG (the avatar of mary sue's power).
For bs 1, the only deaths that matter are the ones on the way to D end since that is the ending that leads to bs 2, which only really includes baphomet and prayer master (everyone else isn't important or a fairy tale)
For bs 2, there is no loop after H end (it takes you back to the title screen instead of the library, unlike every other ending). Anyone that canonically died on the way to H end is most likely permanently dead. Which means basically just Mabel's avatar (doesn't matter), Prince of Hell (doesn't matter), and GG. Any other character could have technically lived somehow or "died" off screen, not to mention it's kind of hard to actually kill an outer one and not just one of its fragments or whatever you want to call them.

Depends. One of the first Ci-en blogs mention how it will start before BS2, leading into it and then maybe goes beyond it.
Lindamea post-bossfight suggets they have a bone to pick with Red for something that happend offscreen.
The only real rule for "dead dead" people is if their soul or whatever spiritual nature is destroyed alongside their vessel. Both games shown us peoples souls can be put into all sorts of fleshbags.
So there is a chance Red might come back. There has to be a reason Red is put into the Black Trial as a intern which entire job is to reap sinners souls.

does anyone know how to cheat items into the game? im trying to get the blackwell note into my save file
Throw your save file into this online save editor.

Scroll down and click "Show data in raw" so that you can edit the text.
Go to the Inventory section where it lists a bunch of item IDs.
Copying the same structure that the other item IDs have, add item ID 191.

i just like to spoiler text.

Yeah I thought about that too after I posted and looked into DRHD a bit. If RH is redeeming herself in DRHD and it takes place before BS2 why would Lindamea be like "tell her get off the path of a sinner" in winterbell, apparently there is a bonus bit with grimm and RH living together which id only assume is before the BS2 end? Honestly like, anything is possible lol. Everything is so intentional and meaningful that I sincerely doubt such a detail is just... there.

Are you sure this is a case where creation can beat its creator?
So far we could only see a certain creator letting their creation kill them out of curiosity or rather love, but that was just an act anyway.
Wouldn't be surprised to hear the sound of a closing book again in the end...
