Night Sky is the best headgear in the game afaik wdym arguably a good buff

It's not the best imo. Kind of bad actually besides the meme. Mp regen is useless outside restricted runs, and even in restricted runs still pretty fucking useless because of sorc staff, necronomicons, and, you know, action free items. Hp regen is near useless because of action free items and only really useful in the one fight in the game that bans items but you could also just use walrus or black blade. The extra actions are unreliable and you'll already have at least 3 (base+anchor+ring) by the time you get it, 4 by the final boss.
Better helms are onimusha (15% crit, combined with the armor and king's gives you 65% crit chance then toss in crit ring for 85-105% crit chance), angel wreath (50% hp, 30% spd), igor (20% atk/mag), sky knight(5% eva), or hatter(20% mag as well but less spd debuff than igor).

I swap headgear, armor, and accessories a lot. One i never swap out is that buckler from second floor of Graveyard Nursery. Doc Hyde or whatshisname. Action 100% Stacks. Night Sky only stacks 50. The regen is nice only when i'm not in Winterbell.

Buckler and counter ring. From the Mountain Cave unicorn route. Pair it with Deviledge, You'll get health back so long the other guy use 'normal' attacks. And Literally cancels death.

I suppose that makes sense, but I feel even an extra action half the time is worth a lot more. Gives you a lot more flexibility in combat. It's been a while since I played the game, but extra actions were basically always great. 50% of the time isn't that bad, it just means you can't rely on it for something you do every turn which isn't that big of a limit, but it's still great to be able to do more at once which to me is more valuable than 20% more atk/mag or any of the other helmets. (The onimusha setup with all the other stuff does sound pretty interesting, though.)

I just felt like our beloved trio does give us at least three different views on the same story, whilst Carroll's River surely did show us an interesting reflection of our beloved, tragic and absolutely innocent hero, Lord Grimm~

Mystery of Night Sky's HP regeneration is nice because it's faster to auto-regen HP than take a couple real-time seconds consuming no-turn items, especially worthwhile when the HP is only "just" significant enough to not risk going without healing. Plus, extra action chances, even if not consistent, are at least partially useful when the player gets them.

I would not say it's bad outright; it really depends on play-style. In my view for instance, I would call Sky Knight's Cap inferior to Mystery of Night Sky, as the 5% EVA/MEV chance isn't worth the head-slot, compared to even a mere 50% chance of a bonus action. I would prefer even a 50% action chance over that which I could use something like Shadowmeld (activates, among other bonuses, Dodge for 70% EVA/MEV) or other buffs/debuffs, and speaking in subjective terms, it's fun not being sure whether to risk it or not (I also use the White Rabbit Ring and Black Rabbit Ring, so I am still getting a guaranteed bonus action chance with the latter). Granted, I haven't really tried a Soul level 1 play-through, and am adequately leveled for my main save, so I can afford to play sub-optimally.

Since no one's bringing it up, I'll say it: the Haigha scene has a few odd differences. She's not wearing stockings, and she's not doing the “dai shuki hold” (I don't know what it's called in English-speaking countries, so I'll just use this weird name).

Both the old DLSite and new Steam versions have the same scene. She's wearing them, and then they come off.

I don`t like it, can`t count on it at all. And in ultra late, when you suppose to get it, i will start using butcher axe more and more for juiceee x2 on bleed, so i need to know exact number of actions.
Vote for onimusha, let you stack lovely 100% crit with just 50% crit ring + king\hans buff

Except when that's not possible because either the fight forbids it (leiden) or the enemy can remove dodge (god fish, deep sea knight). Which is the point, sky knight cap has more use cases than night sky.
BTW, shadowmeld also applies defend which reduces your evasion by -100%, more than nullifying the bonus from dodge.

Can't capture all girls in one save because:
1) One of them will forcibly be deleted from the cell at certain progress level.
2) One of them will kill the rest of prisioners if the cells are full.

Hmm? I can only clap to the good performance everyone is providing! Those you want to enter a covenant with, mostly tell you good things or distract you, but those you want to kill, tell you bad things, and they are not going around the bush.
Kind of ironic, if you ask me.
Since omochikaeri!~ everyone was always an acceptable option, "Greedy Dog" being Grimm's reflection he cannot accept, is kinda ironic too. But it also hints to the true nature of the undead, which is not that different from a ghoul.

Do we know if there's any particular difference between the Steam and DLSite versions of both Black Souls games? I can't imagine there would be, but I don't know where I would go to actually check. All I know is there's a different portal for downloading the Steam version and the DLSite version.

Can't say. Just what i know is that Steam release of Black Souls II has some of the BGM swapped. Haven't played that long to know what pre steam of BS I look like. I never grabbed anything from DLSite either. But, usually when it comes to Steam, censors are gone.

The DLsite version also has bgm swapped. That change was made long ago.
