I think it's awesome that you know how to make 3d pornographic art, it's something that I've looked into in the past and had a hard time even following basic guides. If you're not just bragging and actually can make art comparable to BA's, then if you ever want to quit your day job and try it out the community would always welcome you.
It's really interesting though, I do PR for a living and try to be as understanding to both sides of arguments as possible. I never said I agreed with blackadder, just understood where he was coming from. Similarly, I understand where your argument is coming from. However, that doesn't change the fact, just like Blackadder, I do not agree with it.
Maybe I should've been more clear, when Blackadder ASKED for suggestions, he took the suggestions from only paying customers. When Blackadder ASKED for commissions, he took commissions from only high paying customers.
Given your story of your interaction with Blackadder, I'm assuming you requested him do commissions back when he wasn't doing them, and was still making a lot of money because his work being pirated wasn't very common yet. That probably means you were a paying fan way back in the day, which is awesome. I only became his fan after he started doing commissions.
Giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you started sharing his works after he refused to do commissions. If you started sharing sets before asking for commissions that puts you on the moral low end, so for arguments sake let's give you the moral high ground.
Yes, since you were a paying fan back in the day and requested he do commissions, only for him to deny and doing commissions later might be seen as hypocrisy and him personally attacking you, but how I view it is like this. You wanted a product. He refused on the fact it wasn't profitable for him in comparison to making sets. His work started getting pirated (you helped with this) and he started doing commissions because that was the only way for him to make a profit. An artist is allowed to choose what work they do. They owe a debt to their fans, but cannot make business poor decisions just to reward their fans.
In my post I specifically asked for times he broke his policy and took things "personally," as you stated would happen to the anon. Had blackadder blacklisted you after you requested commissions and only for that reason, then yeah, that's taking things personally and going against his own policy. But he blacklisted you after you started sharing. Which has always been policy.
I do not want this to come off as holier-than-thou, but for you to say "I could call bullshit on your entire statement." shows that having this discussion with you is not getting anywhere. Because unlike you, I can actually see some merits to how you were betrayed by BA. You either fail to see, or do not wish to see the merits of my argument.
Will not be replying to you (about this specific discussion) any more. Don't think anything productive will come out of it.
