Well the majority of Blender users started with this and became quite good a little later down the line. I'm sure the first renders you did in DAZ where subpar as well, but look at you now, pumping quality with Chasing Sunsets.
Diffeomorphic or even the DAZ Blender Plugin integrates quite good now with Blender and opens up not only faster render times but also compositing and sculpting to fix clipping clothes or to create pressure morphs etc.
It will take some time to get acquainted but given what you can produce with DAZ i'd love to see what you and Blender could produce. And hey it's free so what do have to lose?
