I am very interested in this technique, particularly the shader, but the tweets are down and I can't seem to replicate the effect with the screenshot...

I think the Ray Length info node might have changed since then.

I'm sorry to call back to an old post, but are you still using the same technique? Any pointers in the newer versions of blender?

Hi there!
The tweet is still up, I just think you need to be logged in cause it's 18+.
I'm not using Blender anymore, I moved back to Daz.
So sadly I cannot help you with the latest Blender version cause I have not used it myself. :/
